Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the celebrities who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-December 2022, starting with this duo…
On Dec. 12, The U.S. Sun reported that Braunwyn Windham-Burke and her estranged husband, Sean Burke, recently hit a speed bump in their divorce: In newly obtained divorce documents, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum alleges that after she filed to legally end their marriage in mid-October, her ex became "increasingly aggressive," while his new girlfriend threatened her via text and called her "very derogatory names." Braunwyn also dropped some major bombshells about their finances: While requesting $10K per month in spousal support from Sean, Braunwyn alleged that she has just $2,900 to her name (in cash and in various bank accounts). The reality star claims she's currently unemployed and has been unemployed for all but two of the 23 years she and Sean were married. Now that Sean has "stopped providing any support," she's "unable to provide" for herself and their five minor children, she says. (They also have two adult children.) Braunwyn claims she's now depending upon financial assistance from a family member to cover her "basic living expenses." Says the mother of seven, "I have relied on [Sean] for all financial security since I was 20 years old. I have relied on [him] to make all financial decisions for 23 years, and I have effectively been kept in the dark regarding the true extent of our business interests and assets." She says Sean banks more than $75K per month in gross income from his companies and that her average monthly expenses are between $25,750 and $10K. In his response, Sean reportedly agreed to Braunwyn's terms but requested that the court also "reserve for future determination the issue of support payable to" himself. He's also fighting Braunwyn's request for him to cover the cost of her attorney fees, asking that they each cover their own. When contacted by The Sun for response, the former couple said in a joint statement, "As many separated people can relate to, things were upsetting for everyone during the early stages of our divorce. However, we are working together toward a path forward for not only our children's sake, but for the integrity of a 25+ years-long companionship. We are looking forward to spending the holidays together with our children." They're reportedly set to hash out their issues in court-appointed mediation in January. A subsequent hearing has been set for February.

On Dec. 13, TMZ reported that Christina Ricci and her ex-husband, James Heerdegen, recently finalized their divorce by settling their division of assets. The former child star is reportedly hanging onto their former marital home in the Los Angeles area, as well as residuals and royalties from her various film and television projects. She and the producer are set to sell their former New York City pad — the proceeds from which they'll split evenly. James is walking away from the marriage with a Subaru, his personal property and a one-time lump sum equalization payment of nearly $190K from his former missus. Neither party will pay spousal support or child support to the other, though the Emmy-nominated actress is on the hook for 100% of their son's private school tuition and future medical expenses. They'll share joint legal and physical custody of their son, though she has primary custody and final say in major matters pertaining to his upbringing. Christina and James split in the summer of 2020. She quickly moved on, marrying hairstylist Mark Hampton in October 2021.

On Dec. 8, Page Six reported that, according to a source, Bill Hader and Ali Wong had a secret and short-lived fling "at least two months ago" — after the "American Housewife" actress and stand-up comedian separated from her husband, Justin Hakuta, and the "Saturday Night Live" alum split from Anna Kendrick. "They're no longer dating. They dated very briefly. They're just super busy with things, but [the split] was certainly amicable. They're certainly friends," one source said. Added a second source, "Only a small circle of A-list comedians know [they dated] and everyone was thrilled about it. [Their friends] helped them protect the relationship in light of Ali's divorce."

On Dec. 12 — seven months after Jack Harlow rapped that he's "tryna do more" with Dua Lipa than collaborate on a feature — Page Six broke the news that the Grammy-nominated rapper and the "Levitating" chart-topper are dating. The duo reportedly met in person for the first time at Variety's annual Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles on Dec. 3 and have been in "constant communication" ever since. (They briefly chatted on FaceTime before he dropped his track named after her in May.) "He was very interested in her and was going to strongly pursue [the romance]. … He is going to do his best, as he has always been a fan of her," a source said. Jack reportedly traveled to New York City to spend time with Dua following her performance at Z100's Jingle Ball on Dec. 9. The following day, the pair were spied arriving separately to the same NYC restaurant for lunch. On Dec. 13, People magazine confirmed that the musicians are "hanging out." Earlier this year, Dua sparked romance rumors with Trevor Noah.

On Dec. 12, People magazine reported that, according to a source, Pete Davidson and Emily Ratajkowski are "going strong," "really enjoying their time together" and "getting a little more serious." Said the source, "They have a love of the East coast in common and similar vibes personality-wise and style-wise. And it's always the same thing with him: He really makes her laugh and keeps things fun." A second source echoed that Pete and Emily are "getting more serious" and noted that the "Saturday Night Live" alum is "very chill and understanding" when it comes to the model's role as a mom to her toddler son, Sylvester Apollo Bear. "It's a nice situation for Em. It's fun without any stress. Pete takes her to dinner and events. They also hang out a lot at home," the second source said, adding that Emily's divorce from film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard was "very unexpected and rough" and while "it took her a while to bounce back," she's "doing great now." Pete and Emily were first publicly linked in mid-November.

On Dec. 15, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were snapped walking arm-in-arm and laughing together while out for lunch in New York City. (See photos here.) It's the first time the duo have been seen together since ABC indefinitely suspended them from "Good Morning America" in the wake of reports that they took their relationship to the next level while still married to other people. The PDA-packed outing effectively shut down a previous DailyMail.com report that the pair were pressing pause on their romance and "wouldn't dare be caught together" as ABC conducts an internal review into whether or not they violated company policy with their on-set affair. "Their marriages are over, but they have children to think about and they don't want to jeopardize their futures with the network any more than they already have," a source told DailyMail.com on Dec. 13. Amy is reportedly in the process of divorcing her second husband, "Melrose Place" actor Andrew Shue, while T.J. is said to be separated from his second wife, Marilee Fiebig. On Dec. 14, an E! News source insisted that while Amy and T.J. were lying low, "they are still very much together." Clearly!

In early November, there were whispers online that Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers had quietly gotten engaged following about two years of coupledom. Then in early December, multiple anonymous sources told Deux Moi that, in recent weeks, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has been seen packing on the PDA with someone else: comedian Bo Burnham. On Dec. 12 — a few days after the Phoebe-Bo romance rumors started gaining steam — The 1975 frontman Matty Healy added to the confusion by taking to Instagram to share a photo of himself locking lips with the "Motion Sickness" singer as Bo stood behind them with his eyes closed and his hands draped across their shoulders. So are Phoebe and the Emmy-nominated "Normal People" actor still an item? Has she moved on with Bo? Did two close pals simply team up with Matty to troll us all? Only time will tell!

On Dec. 10, Diddy announced on Twitter that he recently welcomed his seventh child: daughter Love Sean Combs. Two days later, TMZ reported that a woman named Dana Tran gave birth to the baby girl in Newport Beach, California, on Oct. 15 — four days before Diddy was snapped holding hands with influencer Shawntya Joseph in New York City. (See photos here.) The birth announcement — and the PDA pics — raised questions about the status of Diddy's long-term (and apparently open) relationship with Yung Miami. (Back in June, Diddy described himself as "single" and said that he and the City Girls rapper "date" but are also "friends.") On Dec. 13, Diddy tweeted of Miami, "[She] is not my side chick. Never has been, never will be. She's very important and special to me, and I don't play about [her]." Still, he stopped short of explicitly defining their relationship. Earlier this year, Miami told the September 2022 issue of XXL magazine that she and Diddy aren't exclusive: "He's single, I'm single, but we're dating. … When we're together, we're together," she said, adding that they both see other people.

According to the webloid, the "Leftovers" actor popped the question without a ring as he and the "Turnt" actress drove to the Seattle Marathon — in which he was scheduled to run. (He asked her to pull over as they were driving to the event and then got down on one knee on the side of the road.) Hailee's parents later gifted the happy couple the diamond from her grandmother's engagement ring, and they designed her new engagement ring together. The bride-to-be later told Page Six of the proposal, "It happened spur of the moment and intimately, no set up or family members hiding in a bush." She also took to Instagram to gush of getting engaged, "Gosh darn it who let me fall in love and GET MARRIED?! I was supposed to be a cool heartbreaker FOREVER! @chriszylka I love him so much it's a whole new feeling unlocked. I hope you all find it. Hailee Zylka… How do we like it?" Like, you know, of course I have friends. I meet people. I'm, you know, I'm not dead. … But, you know, there's no, like, serious relationship on the horizon.
