Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late January 2023…
It appears that all is well between Ellen Pompeo and her husband, Chris Ivery. On Jan. 21, the duo posed together on the red carpet at the grand opening of Atlantis The Royal in Dubai. Late last year, there were rumors that the "Grey's Anatomy" actress and the music producer had thrown in the towel following 15 years of marriage. The rumors were fueled by a sighting of Chris with a pretty blonde mystery woman at Nobu in Malibu, calling into question his commitment to his missus.

On Jan. 21, Harry Styles stepped out in London with a woman from his past: Ellis Calcutt. The duo, who've reportedly been friends since high school, first sparked romance rumors back in 2012. At the time, Ellis insisted that she had a boyfriend and that she and the singer were "only good friends." In early 2022, she hinted on Instagram that she'd gotten engaged, but it's unclear if she's still spoken for or if — like Harry — she's recently single. Harry and his last girlfriend, Olivia Wilde, called it quits late last year following two years of coupledom.

Sean Penn and Robin Wright are fueling another round of reconciliation rumors. The duo were seen together in Los Angeles over the weekend of Jan. 21 — less than a week after they first got tongues wagging when they were photographed together at LAX Airport. According to a People magazine source, however, they haven't reconciled romantically… yet! "They are both single right now and get along great. Sean has always said that Robin is the love of his life. He regrets many things that happened during their marriage. He really enjoys spending time with her now," the source said. Robin and Sean — who were married from 1996 to 2010 and share two adult children — are both recently single: She filed to divorce third husband Clément Giraudet in September 2022, while he finalized his divorce from third wife Leila George in April 2022.

Amid questions about the nature of her relationship with The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart, Selena Gomez took to Instagram on Jan. 20 to insist that she's single. "I like being alone too much," she wrote on her Instagram Story across a black-and-white photo of a mountaintop. (She reportedly deleted the snap within minutes.) She also added a hashtag for "I am single." A few days earlier, a Page Six spy spotted the singer-actress and the DJ-producer making out, and an Us Weekly source claimed that they weren't "trying to hide their romance."

On Jan. 25, Shakira's former long-term partner, Gerard Piqué, hard-launched his relationship with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Martí, on Instagram: The Spanish soccer star posted this selfie with the blonde beauty, which he shared without a caption. Gerard and the public relations student — who's 12 years younger than him and half Shakira's age — were first publicly linked in August 2022, two months after Shakira announced that she and Gerard were separating amid rumors that she caught him cheating. The Grammy winner kept mum on the infidelity allegations until earlier this month when she dropped the diss track "BZRP Music Session #53," which takes not-so-veiled shots at Gerard and Clara.

Gisele Bundchen fueled a fresh round of questions about the nature of her relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, after they were photographed together twice in Costa Rica this month — first going for a jog on Jan. 14 and then horseback riding on Jan. 18. (See photos here.) Two days after their equine encounter, People magazine reported that the recently single supermodel isn't dating the MMA pro… yet! "Gisele adores and trusts him and has been spending a lot of time with him, but I don't think it's a traditional dating scenario. They have a deep personal relationship, and he is a teacher to her and [her] kids. Whether or not it will ever become more than that rests on the table," a source said. The mother of two and the fighter first sparked romance rumors in November — mere weeks after she and Tom Brady announced that they were divorcing following more than a decade of marriage.

On Jan. 24, Page Six reported that back in 2015 — the same year T.J. Holmes had an affair with then-24-year-old ABC script coordinator Jasmin Pettaway — he also allegedly cheated on his now-estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig, with a woman in her mid-20s who worked at ABC as an overnight associate producer at the time. According to the New York Post's gossip column, the twosome are suspected of engaging in an intimate encounter in his office "sometime after 3 a.m. with the door closed." After a spy heard "a bunch of rustling" coming from T.J.'s office, the woman emerged looking "completely flush" and like "a deer in headlights." Said the source of T.J.'s relationship with the mystery woman, "He was in a position of power over her. … I do think it was like a, 'Here's this good-looking younger girl, and she's here in my office, let me make a move,' sort of thing." The source also described the situation as "similar" to what went down between T.J. and Jasmin.
On Jan. 23, The U.S. Sun reported that, according to a source, T.J.'s current love and former "Good Morning America" co-anchor, Amy Robach, "had no idea the scope of [his] alleged past office romances" when they took their relationship to the next level while still married to other people sometime last year. (There are conflicting reports about when exactly they got together.) "She certainly did not foresee that their relationship was going to cause major upheaval — outside of her own marriage [to Andrew Shue]. She did not expect this to blow up into a scandal," the source said.
In the months since DailyMail.com broke the news that Amy and T.J. were much more than friendly colleagues, multiple media outlets have reported on his alleged history of interoffice romances. In addition to Amy, Jasmin and the new mystery woman, he also had an alleged three-year affair with "GMA" producer Natasha Singh.

During an interview with Fox News Digital that hit the Internet on Jan. 17, "St. Elsewhere" star Bonnie Bartlett Daniels said that her 72-year marriage with actor William Daniels — who famously portrayed Mr. Feeny on "Boy Meets World" — is "hardly a fairy tale." She went on to say that when they tied the knot in 1951, "it was a little bit of an open marriage at first." She attributed their mutual infidelity to the "very free" culture in New York City at the time, noting that there also may have been "a lack of commitment a little bit" on both their parts. "It was very painful for the both of us. But it was something we had to go through because we never went through it. When we got together, I was 18. Bill was my first boyfriend," she explained.
They ultimately weathered the storm, which Bonnie details in her new memoir, "Middle of the Rainbow," which debuted on Jan. 15. "I never felt tied to fidelity, and neither did Bill," she writes. She goes on to recall her months-long affair with an actor in 1959 and Bill's affair with a female producer in the '70s — which left Bonnie "devastated" and ultimately helped her realize she "could no longer tolerate any kind of open marriage."
During a later interview with People magazine, Bonnie explained that moving from New York City to Hollywood saved their marriage: "Once we got to Hollywood and we were here and living like a normal family and having weekends at home with our kids and doing things, it was a totally different story. Nobody wanted anything more than that," she said. Continued the "Little House on the Prairie" alum, "The marriage could have broken apart at any time those first 10 years, if one of us had, say, fallen in love with somebody, but we never did. That was never part of it. Both of us really wanted to be together. The love has never stopped."

During an interview with Porter that hit the Internet on Jan. 22, Shailene Woodley revealed that she went through "the darkest, hardest time" after she broke up with Aaron Rodgers in the spring of 2022 while shooting the upcoming Showtime series "Three Women." Explained the Emmy nominee, "It was hard to film because I was going through the darkest, hardest time in my life; it was winter in New York, and my personal life was s*****, so it felt like a big pain bubble for eight months. I was so grateful that at least I could go to work and cry and process my emotions through my character."
She went on to detail how she was negatively affected by the spotlight on their relationship: "It honestly never really hit me that millions of people around the world were actually watching these things and paid attention to them. Then, I dated somebody in America who was very, very famous. It was the first time that I'd had a quote-unquote 'famous' relationship, and I watched [the] scrutiny, opinions, the desire for people to know my life and his life and our life — it just felt violating," she said. The actress and the football star started dating in 2020 and quickly got engaged but threw in the towel the following year.

Emily Ratajkowski is taking things up a notch with Eric André — to whom she was first linked earlier this month — as she continues playing the field. According to Page Six, they were seen making out on Jan. 24 as they vacationed together "for a few days" at the Palm Heights in Grand Cayman. "[They] were looking pretty cozy on the beach, lounging by the waterfront. They were kissing and flirting. He was cracking jokes and making everybody laugh. … It seemed like a fun friends-with-benefits situation. They hung out at the bar, drinking cocktails and chatting with everyone. They just seemed really happy and relaxed together," said a spy, noting that the dynamic between the model and the comedian appeared to be more "playful" than "romantic." At another point during their vacay, Emily could be overheard telling Eric that she's "traumatized by men" — purportedly because she caught her ex-husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, cheating on her in the summer of 2022. She also reportedly shared a "horror story" from her past with her new love interest: "Eric was acting surprised, saying, 'That guy really did that?'" the spy dished.

According to "Entertainment Tonight," Brittany Snow filed to divorce Tyler Stanaland in Los Angeles on Jan. 18 — four months after the "Pitch Perfect" actress and the "Selling the OC" star announced that they were throwing in the towel following two years of marriage. She reportedly cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and noted that she and her ex signed a prenup — which they intend to follow while determining spousal support and their division of assets — before they tied the knot in early 2020.
Two days later, Tyler stepped out with "Selling the OC" co-star Alex Hall in Dubai, where, according to Page Six, they were seen getting drinks at a resort, though they were joined by his brother and another man and did not appear to engage in any open PDA that would signify they're anything more than friends. Page Six notes that Tyler and Alex were in town to attend the grand opening of the lavish Atlantis The Royal resort. However, there have been questions for months now about the nature of their relationship and whether or not it played a role in the implosion of Tyler's marriage.

On Jan. 23, People magazine broke the news that, according to multiple sources, Robyn Dixon and ex-husband Juan Dixon have quietly tied the knot for the second time. The surprise nuptials will reportedly air sometime in the coming weeks on the finale of season 7 of "The Real Housewives of Potomac." It's unclear when or where the duo, who share two children, said "I do." The former high school sweethearts initially married in 2005 and divorced in 2012, but they continued living together amid the breakup, and eventually, things between them turned romantic again. They got re-engaged in late 2019.

Make a wish," she captioned a photo of herself sharing a passionate lip-lock with her long-rumored love. She also shared a simple selfie with the handsome entrepreneur. (See both snaps here.)
Ten days later, she stepped things up a notch by sharing her first grid post dedicated to Marcus. "Checks over stripes," she captioned a photo of herself and the former college basketball player at Trophy Room, the high-end shoe store he owns. (The caption references her apparent preference for Nike's check logo over rival Adidas' striped logo.) In the sweet snap, Larsa and Marcus — who's 17 years her junior — can be seen holding hands as they pose in front of a wall of flowers arranged to resemble Michael Jordan's iconic No. 23 Chicago Bulls home jersey. Larsa's ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, famously feuded with Michael for years after they played together on the Bulls. Michael, of course, has been in business with Nike for decades.

You could be an amazing person, and if we're not able to communicate, it's just not gonna work,'" she recalled, according to E! News.
