Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late September 2022, starting with this news… According to SFGATE, Simu Liu revealed during a Sept. 22 appearance at Dreamforce — Salesforce's annual tech conference — that he and "Senior Year" star Jade Bender are no longer a couple. "[I'm] going through a breakup," he said while discussing his mental health journey during a public Q&A. The "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" star and the actress were first publicly linked in June.

On Sept. 27, multiple media outlets confirmed rumors from mid-August that Brad Pitt has been quietly seeing Emily Ratajkowski. According to a People magazine source, they're "spending a lot of time together," though their friends "aren't sure if it's serious" because the A-list actor and the model don't appear to be "dating formally." An Us Weekly source echoed that Brad and Emily have been "hanging out as friends" and "getting to know each other," adding that their relationship is "in the very early stages" right now, though "they like each other and are excited to see where things go." Said an "Entertainment Tonight" source, "Brad and Emily have spent time together, but it's very casual. They're friends. Emily recently filed for divorce [from Sebastian Bear-McClard] and Brad is still going through his situation with Angelina [Jolie] so neither are looking for anything serious right now." Added an E! News source, "Emily is putting herself out there and enjoys the company. She's trying to keep busy and not focus on the divorce. Her and Brad met through mutual friends in the industry. It was causal and friendly." A Page Six source, however, insisted that although the father of six and the "Blurred Lines" video vixen have been "seen a couple times together," he's "not dating anybody" in particular — he's also "been seen with other people," said the source. A second Page Six source added that the Oscar winner has "quietly dated the last couple of years," he "worries" that Angelina "will badmouth him to their kids, more than she already has, if he has a serious girlfriend." Said yet another Page Six source, "Emily is [a] hot mama, but Brad knows she has a lot of drama involving her divorce. He has enough of his own drama."

On Sept. 28, The Sun confirmed recent speculation that Billy Ray Cyrus is dating his "New Day" collaborator Firerose, who's made regular appearances on his Instagram feed since late August. "Billy is happier than he has been in a long time with Firerose," said a source. As for speculation that there was overlap between the "Achy Breaky Heart" chart-topper's relationships with the Australian singer-songwriter and his ex-wife, Tish Cyrus, who filed for divorce in April… "There had been problems in his marriage for a while. He and Tish have been on and off for the best part of a decade, but things had been over for some time before the announcement in April," said the insider. (Billy Ray and Firerose dropped "New Day" in July 2021.) On Sept. 13, Firerose sparked rumors that she and Billy Ray are engaged when she took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos of herself wearing what appeared to be a massive diamond engagement ring. "Taking in the moment," she wrote in the caption before crediting the pics to the Grammy winner.

On Sept. 24, Khloe Kardashian was snapped looking cozy with "365 Days" star Michele Morrone at the Dolce & Gabbana presentation during Milan Fashion Week. (See the photo, which the actor later shared on his Instagram Story, here.) The hangout sparked questions about the nature of their relationship. But according to Michele's rep, he and Khloe are practically strangers: "Dolce and Gabbana asked them to take a photo at the show. Michele said she was very nice, and that was the extent of it," the rep told People magazine. A separate People source added that the reality star and the Italian heartthrob had "never met before" that evening: "She just met him in Milan that night. They are not dating. She has no plans to see him again," the insider said.

On Sept. 27, TMZ broke the news that Kenan Thompson's ex-wife, Christina Evangeline, is dating his former "Saturday Night Live" co-star Chris Redd, who also appeared on 20 episodes of his short-lived sitcom "Kenan." According to the webloid's sources, Christina and Chris became official sometime within the past year — long after she and Kenan started living separate lives several years ago — and there's "no bad blood" between the two comedians. TMZ's sources also made it clear that Kenan had nothing to do with Chris's recent departure from "SNL." The former child star has reportedly "moved on" from his former missus and is "happily dating other people."

On Sept. 27, The Try Guys took to Instagram to announce that, following "a thorough internal review," they "do not see a path forward" with founding member Ned Fulmer. The comedy collective looked into Ned's behavior after a viral Reddit thread alleged he cheated on his wife, Ariel Fulmer, with one of the group's producers, Alexandria Herring, who also stars in The Try Guys' "Food Babies" series. (Ned and Alex — who was reportedly engaged at the time to Will Thayer, her college sweetheart and partner of more than a decade — were allegedly seen kissing during a night out in New York City.) Ned soon took to Instagram to confirm the rumors were true: "Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship. I'm sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all to Ariel. The only thing that matters right now is my marriage and my [two] children, and that's where I am going to focus my attention," he wrote. Ariel, meanwhile, addressed the drama on her own Instagram account, writing in part, "Nothing is more important to me and Ned than our family, and all we request right now is that you respect our privacy for the sake of our kids." On Sept. 28, Ned and Ariel were snapped wearing their wedding rings while out and about in Los Angeles, indicating they have not thrown in the towel amid the drama. (Ariel reportedly told a paparazzo they're "working on working things out.") The same cannot be said for Alex and Will: He removed all traces of her from his Instagram account, which he then set to private. There are also rumors that Will is responsible for leaking the story about Alex's affair with Ned.

On Sept. 27 — amid whispers that infidelity may have played a role in Gisele Bundchen's recent separation from Tom Brady — Page Six reported that, according to a source, "there is absolutely no accusation of cheating on either side." Explained the source, "[They] have recently struggled to make their marriage work and have grown apart." The insider went on to dispute claims that the power couple had "an epic fight" over the professional football player's decision to un-retire from the NFL: "Gisele has no problem with Tom returning to football, she wants him to be happy, and wants him to play, if that is what he wants. There was never an ultimatum set down for Tom to choose between football or her. Their problems are more about the distance that has been created between them over a longer period of time," the source said. Page Six also reported that the quarterback and the supermodel hunkered down in Miami separately as Hurricane Ian battered the Sunshine State.

Meanwhile, the Sept. 29 episode of "The Kardashians" confirmed long-standing rumors that Tristan Thompson previously proposed to Khloe Kardashian before they called it quits for good amid his paternity drama with another woman following an affair. But she didn't say yes: "I said, 'I need to make sure this is a totally different relationship because I want to be proud to say I'm engaged to anyone.' And that's why I said, 'I'm not comfortable accepting this right now because I'm not excited to tell my family.' And as hurtful as that probably was for him to hear, it was the truth," the mother of two recalled. She never told her family about the proposal.

On Sept. 15, Sam Claflin took to Instagram to make his relationship with Cassie Amato Instagram official, sharing a photo of himself and the model sitting on a park bench in France. The following day, the brunette beauty shared a slideshow of photos from a museum in France including a mirror selfie in which the "Hunger Games" actor can be seen pecking her on the forehead. It was the first official confirmation that they're a couple after they sparked romance rumors earlier this year by exchanging flirty comments on each other's Instagram posts. Cassie was briefly linked to Leonardo DiCaprio in 2015, while Sam and English actress Laura Haddock called it quits in 2019 following six years of marriage.

Putting the rumors to rest! On Sept. 26 — after weeks of whispers that they might have quietly called it quits — Joshua Jackson and his wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, were snapped holding hands outside Nobu in Malibu. The breakup rumors first gained steam in mid-September when fans noticed that the "Dawson's Creek" alum and the "Queen & Slim" actress had unfollowed each other on Instagram. They've since re-followed each other, indicating that all is well in their relationship… for now, at least!

According to TMZ, Robin Wright filed to divorce her third husband, Clément Giraudet, on Sept. 22 following four years of marriage. She reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and listed their date of separation as July 31. The "House of Cards" alum claims in her divorce documents that she and the Saint Laurent exec — who's nearly two decades her junior — signed a post-nuptial agreement making it clear that their assets are separate property. She also indicated that neither she nor her ex should pay spousal support to the other.

On Sept. 21, multiple media outlets reported that the Boston Celtics suspended coach Ime Udoka — Nia Long's fiancé of seven years and partner of more than a decade — after discovering he had an affair with a married woman who also works for the basketball team. Two days later, TMZ reported that the Celtics uncovered the affair back in July and promptly launched an investigation, but Ime only confessed to Nia — who just moved to Boston earlier in September to be closer to him — once it became clear the news was going public. "I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down. I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team's decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment," he said in a statement. The actress also released her own statement: "The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me. I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children," she said. Nia and Ime share one son.

On Sept. 17, Vanessa Kirby was snapped leaving a New York City hotel with former professional lacrosse player Paul Rabil. (See photos here.) The apparent hangout sparked rumors they're dating. The Oscar nominee previously romanced English actor Callum Turner for years, while the Premier Lacrosse League founder dated Eiza González for several months in 2021.

Meghan King raised eyebrows when she walked the red carpet with Bachelor Nation's Mike Johnson in coordinating black-and-red outfits at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 23. The former "The Bachelorette" personality — who competed for Hannah Brown's heart on season 15 of "The Bachelorette" in 2019 — also joined the "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum on the Sept. 25 episode of her "Intimate Knowledge" podcast, during which they revealed that their big night out followed a blind date the previous evening that her producers set up. The duo acknowledged that they hit it off and ended up making out in public, with Meghan joking that they "looked in love" and "definitely looked like a couple." She also made it clear that they didn't sleep together and indicated that they're taking things slow. On the Sept. 28 episode of E! News's "While You Were Streaming" podcast, however, Mike said that their time together was "just for fun" and that they're not dating. "They had a lot of fun together and are glad to know each other now. But as far as a relationship goes, it's platonic," confirmed a Page Six source, adding that although Meghan and Mike have "undeniable chemistry," they're ultimately "just friends." Another Page Six source described the pair as "pals and colleagues," while an E! News source echoed that "they are not dating." Yet another E! source clarified that Meghan is also not dating the man to whom she was linked in early July: Trevor Colhoun.

On Sept. 22, Larsa Pippen was spied packing on the PDA with one of Michael Jordan's two sons, Marcus Jordan, at a restaurant in New York City. "They are definitely an item. As the night progressed it was obvious to everyone in the restaurant that she was really into him. She was hugging and kissing him, and she was practically sitting on his lap by the end of the dinner. It became a bit of a spectacle to onlookers as it was quite distracting," a spy told Us Weekly. (A few days later, a TMZ spy saw the duo — who previously insisted they're just friends — kissing at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami.) Larsa's ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, famously feuded with her new beau's father for years after they played together on the Chicago Bulls. "Marcus and Larsa are dating and have been spending more time together in recent weeks. … They are trying to keep it on the down low because of the rift between Scottie and Michael," explained an Us Weekly source. Larsa, by the way, is 17 years older than Marcus.

On Sept. 23, Clayton Echard and Susie Evans took to Instagram to share a joint statement announcing that "with incredibly heavy hearts," they recently "decided to go our separate ways." Wrote the duo, who decided to date after breaking up twice on season 26 of "The Bachelor" earlier this year, "Anyone who has ever loved knows this was a painful decision to make and not one taken lightly. … Although this last year together has brought us so much joy and so many laughs, there has also been a significant amount of pain. We know no healthy relationship comes without its struggles, but we've realized that we were not prepared for the external forces that hindered our ability to not only heal as individuals but also as a couple. We both are focused on continuing to work on ourselves, so we can be the best version of ourselves. In mid-August, multiple media outlets reported that "Euphoria" star Jacob Elordi and Lori Loughlin's daughter, influencer Olivia Jade, had gone their separate ways following several months of coupledom. But the duo were snapped walking their dogs together in the Los Angeles area twice in late September: first on Sept. 26 and then on Sept. 27 when they stepped out in matching baby-blue ensembles. It's official! After Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan were seen together at Tyler Cameron's charity gala in Jupiter, Florida, on Sept. 22, multiple media outlets confirmed speculation from mid-August that the off-and-on couple have reconciled romantically (again). According to an Us Weekly source, they're "full-on back together," having "a lot of fun together" and "spending a lot of time together" since reconnecting over the summer. "Peter wants to be in a serious committed relationship and his feelings for Kelley never went away. They're both happy and looking forward to where things go this time around," the source said. An E! News source echoed that that the pilot's relationship with the lawyer "progressed slowly over the summer" after he "initiated the reunion." Kelly, meanwhile, "couldn't deny their chemistry." They're now "committed to each other" and "back together," said the E! insider, adding that there's "less pressure" on the duo to make it work this time around and that they've been "easing back into a relationship." They're reportedly dating long-distance but have been "traveling together" and have "made it a point to meet up." A Page Six source also noted that Peter and Kelly are "in a good place once more."

On Sept. 15, David Beador filed to divorce Lesley Cook following just 23 months of marriage. A week later, Lesley claimed on Instagram that the "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum — who was previously married to "RHOC" star Shannon Beador for 17 years — filed to have their divorce case dismissed. On Sept. 27, however, Lesley returned to Instagram to claim she's the one who's filing to legally end their marriage: "I am filing for divorce. While this is not what I would have ever expected, it is what is best. I value myself and the happiness and wellbeing of my children. I am so grateful for a tremendous circle of friends and family who support me. Looking forward to a bright and happy future with my beautiful kiddos," the mother of three captioned a photo of herself and the daughter she shares with the former reality star. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Superior Court of California in Orange County reportedly told Page Six that there's no evidence David ever filed paperwork to have his petition for divorce dismissed.

According to People magazine, which published exclusive wedding photos, Todd Bridges married designer Bettijo B. Hirschi in front of 70 guests at the Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills on Sept. 21. The former "Diff'rent Strokes" child star — who split from his first wife in 2012 — noted that he was thrilled to wed "somebody that I'm madly in love with." Said the bride, who designed her own wedding gown, "We both went through a lot before finding each other. … We kind of both had given up on finding something this great, and we were super surprised to be able to have it kind of given to us, and we feel like God had a hand in bringing us together. "The best part of the wedding is I now get to spend the rest of my life with Kortnie. On Sept. 12, Bachelor Nation's Kelsey Weier — who competed for Peter Weber's heart on season 24 of "The Bachelor" and then briefly appeared on season 7 of "Bachelor in Paradise" — took to Instagram to casually reveal that she and Chicago Bulls shooting guard Matt Thomas are an item. Two days later, Matt took to Instagram to share a slideshow of pictures including a PDA-packed photo of himself and the former beauty queen looking cozy together on a boat. On Sept. 27, "Jeopardy!" champ Amy Schneider took to social media to announce that she quietly married Genevieve Davis "in a small private ceremony" at the Alameda County Recorder in Oakland, California, on May 9. "We will still be having a traditional wedding and reception next summer, but our lives have been much too busy this year to get very far in planning it, and we couldn't wait that long to proclaim our love and commitment to each other. Thank you, everyone for your support!" she captioned a slideshow of wedding photos. The famed game-show contestant captioned the same photos on Twitter, "A year ago today, I was in L.A., waiting to fulfill a dream. The year since has been full of good days, but by far the best one was May 9th, when Genevieve and I got married. Without her, none of the other good days would have happened. I'm so lucky to share my life with her!" The two women got engaged in February.

According to The New York Times, Jeff Bezos' ex-wife, philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, filed to divorce her second husband, Dan Jewett, on Sept. 26 following less than two years of marriage. The schoolteacher is not contesting the divorce, and their division of assets was reportedly determined by their prenup.

According to People magazine, which published exclusive wedding photos, country music singer Renee Blair married producer Jordan Schmidt at Oakley Hall at Riverview in Nashville on Sept. 24. "He is the most incredible human I've ever met. There are days I still can't believe I found him and get to love him," the bride gushed of her new husband. The duo got engaged in September 2021 following a courtship of four years.
