"We got married in March, and we are so happy!" he gushed. "It's incredible when you're not forcing things. It doesn't have to be that hard. You just meet the right person and you just go, 'Oh, this is amazing. It's just so wonderful!' You're so attracted and so attached to this person. You just love this person so much. For months now, there have been whispers about the nature of Kate Bosworth's relationship with Justin Long in the wake of her mid-2021 split from director husband Michael Polish. After the "Live Free or Die Hard" actor referenced his girlfriend on the Dec. 28 episode of his "Life Is Short" podcast, Page Six confirmed that, according to multiple sources, Justin's mystery woman is, in fact, the "Blue Crush" actress. The pair connected while shooting a movie in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in mid-2021. After they wrapped the project in mid-May, Kate took to Instagram to gush about Justin, who previously romanced "Going the Distance" co-star Drew Barrymore. On Jan. 1, Kanye West stepped out for dinner with model-actress Julia Fox in Miami. A source told TMZ, which published exclusive photos of the intimate dinner date, that the pair aren't serious and that the rapper is simply enjoying single life amid his ongoing divorce from estranged wife Kim Kardashian. On Jan. 2, however, Kanye and Julia were seen together again: They dined with rapper Future at Makoto in Miami Beach. According to TMZ, they double dated with "Drink Champs" host N.O.R.E. and his wife, Neri Santiago, at the Carbone in Miami on Jan. 3. The following evening, they joined a group of friends for a performance of "Slave Play" on Broadway before dinner at the Carbone in New York City. They then headed back to his hotel in the same SUV. (It's unclear if they spent the night together.) "Julia and Ye are dating. They both just got out of their former relationships, and they've helped each other recover immensely. They're kind of kindred spirits, and it's cool to watch," a source told Page Six after the duo were seen together in two states in less than a week. Julia split from Peter Artemiev — with whom she shares a son — in late 2021. In a brief essay that Interview published on Jan. 6 — along with PDA-packed photos from their first week of coupledom — Julia opened up about how she and Kanye had "an instant connection" when they met for the very first time in Miami on New Year's Eve. TMZ reported on Dec. 28 that Dr. Dre and Nicole Young officially settled their extremely contentious divorce by agreeing to a division of assets that sees the music mogul forking over $100 million to his ex. He's reportedly "delighted" by the terms: According to the webloid, he's walking away from the marriage with seven properties (a home in Malibu, two homes in Calabasas and four other homes in the Los Angeles area including a $100 million Brentwood estate), six of 10 cars, "full rights to his master recordings, trademarks and interests in various partnerships and trusts," plus their stock in Apple including the proceeds from the sale of his Beats by Dre brand to the tech company. Nicole, meanwhile, will hold onto four vehicles and her jewelry, plus cash and bank accounts she maintained during the marriage. She's responsible for paying her own legal fees — which "amount to millions of dollars," according to TMZ's estimate — and she will not receive spousal support from Dre, per the terms of their agreement. Sources close to the former couple told TMZ that if Nicole had settled sooner, she likely would've scored a significantly larger payday from her ex.

"The Talk" co-host Amanda Kloots and "The Bachelorette" alum Michael Allio — who dropped out of Katie Thurston's season as it neared its conclusion in the summer of 2021 — sparked romance rumors when she took to Instagram on Dec. 27 to share a photo from a dinner date they shared at a restaurant in Canton, Ohio, over the holidays. It appears there's a new man in Rebel Wilson's life: The actress is spending time with Australian professional tennis player Matt Reid, and according to a source for the Australian tabloid the Herald Sun, the buzz in the tennis world is that they "could be more than just friends." The pair were snapped getting breakfast together at a café in Sydney on Christmas Eve — two weeks after they posed together on the red carpet at the 11th Annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards. According to Daily Mail Australia, it's possible the pair connected through her pal Brittany Hockley, who's dating another Australian tennis player: Jordan Thompson. Back in August, Brittany, who was a finalist on the sixth season of the Australian version of "The Bachelor" in 2018, even took to Instagram to share a photo of herself hanging out with Rebel and Matt during the U.S. Open. The recent rumors were true: On Dec. 28 — more than a decade after Maria Shriver first filed to divorce Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2011 following 25 years of marriage — the duo have officially ended their marriage in the eyes of the law. According to TMZ, "lack of motivation" and "a very complicated property settlement agreement" contributed to the drawn-out timeline. On Jan. 3, Tristan Thompson took to his Instagram Story to announce that a paternity test confirmed he's the father of Maralee Nichols' child. They conceived the baby boy in March during a fling amid the professional basketball player's off-and-on relationship with Khloe Kardashian. After insisting that he plans to "take full responsibility" for his new son, he publicly apologized to the reality TV star, writing, "Khloe, you don't deserve this. On Dec. 24, Page Six broke the news that Meghan King's whirlwind romance with President Joe Biden's nephew, Cuffe Biden Owens, had come to an end just two months after they tied the knot following a courtship of just three weeks. According to a source, the former "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star had "told friends they broke up." On Dec. 27, she took to her Instagram Story to confirm that the report was true: "I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating. This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I'm shocked and saddened by the way things turned out. I am moving forward with my [three] children as we privately process our pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams," she wrote. The following day, E! News reported that, according to a source, the sudden split "had to do with distance" between the St. Louis-based former reality TV star and the Los Angeles-based attorney. On Jan. 3, People magazine confirmed fans' recent suspicions that Bachelor Nation's Blake Horstmann is dating "Love Is Blind" alum Giannina Gibelli. "They're taking things slow. But [they] seem really happy together," said a source. The duo sparked romance rumors when they took to social media to share several photos and videos from what appeared to be similar locations. Said the source, "They are going to try and remain civil and friendly towards each other." TMZ later confirmed the professional football player quietly filed for divorce in June 2021. He and the Victoria's Secret model tied the knot in 2018 and later welcomed two daughters.

On Dec. 28, HGTV star Sabrina Soto took to Instagram to announce that she's engaged to chef Dean Sheremet, who was previously married to LeAnn Rimes. "I said absolutely," the bride-to-be captioned a slideshow of photos showing off her new engagement ring on the beach at Carmel-by-the-Sea in California. Dean captioned the same pics, "Happy birthday SABRINA! I can't wait to continue building our beautiful family. Atlas and I are lucky to have you. (She said absolutely)." He shares son Atlas with his ex-fiancée, filmmaker Vanessa Black, and he was also previously married to photographer Sarah Silver. Sabrina, meanwhile, has a daughter from a previous relationship. It's unclear how long they've been an item.

On Dec. 29, "The Help" and "Fruitvale Station" actress Ahna O'Reilly revealed on Instagram that she secretly married TV producer Dave Andron in December 2020. "Married favorite person a year ago. On Dec. 23, Vicki Gunvalson's ex-fiancé, Steve Lodge, took to Instagram to officially debut his girlfriend of a few months: 37-year-old Orange County-based third-grade teacher Janis Carlson. On Jan. 3, the 63-year-old aspiring politician released a statement announcing they're engaged: "I did ask Janis on December 20th if she would become Mrs. Steve Chavez Lodge, and she happily agreed. We will be married in April 2022. We are both very excited, incredibly happy, totally in love and look forward to our life together," he said. In mid-October — a few weeks after Vicki confirmed that she and Steve had called it quits — the "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum accused him of cheating on her with his new love. During an interview with E! News that debuted online on Jan. 4, Vicki Gunvalson said of her newly engaged ex-fiancé, Steve Lodge, "Only a narcissist would move out of my home in September and be engaged in December. At this point I can only thank God for tearing me away from the lies, the mind games, manipulations, being used, and I am finally set free to heal. … It's important to remember that I'm only mourning the person I thought he was, not the cruel manipulator he really is, and that is what gives me peace. I now see this as a blessing because if he did this now, God only knows what he would've done years down the line if I would've stayed with him. … I'm not an evil person so I won't wish him anything bad, I can only wish for him what he deserves in life… whatever that may be." On the Jan. 5 episode of Us Weekly's "Getting Real with the Housewives" podcast, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" newbie Noella Bergener revealed that she's seeing someone new amid her messy split from estranged husband James Berenger. "There's somebody that I have known for years. He knew me married and knew my husband. That's not weird at all, but we just have a lot of love and respect for each other," she said. "He was one of those that just constantly checked in on me. Like, the moment James left, just like, 'How are you? Did you need anything? Do the kids need anything?'" Their relationship took a turn about a month ago. "It's just slow. It's very, very fresh. So who knows. At the end of the day, I have an amazing friend, but right now, we're friends who kiss," she said. She added to Us Weekly of her ongoing divorce, "At this point, we have a settlement, we both have ironed out all the details, like, it's ready to go, we just need to sign. According to People magazine, ABC News chief medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton got engaged to her boyfriend of a year — TV producer Tom Werner, who's nearly two decades her senior — on New Year's Eve as they waited for a cab ride to dinner at The Fulton by Jean-Georges, where they had their first date. "From the moment they met they were soulmates," said a source, adding that the pair hope to tie the knot later this year. "Even if it was just the two of them [at the wedding] it wouldn't matter. They are so in love." On Jan. 3, the doctor, author and TV personality took to Instagram to share a photo with her new fiancé: "I said YES! to Tom Werner," she wrote in the caption.

On Dec. 31, The Sun reported that basketball star Ben Simmons — who previously romanced Kendall Jenner for about a year in 2018 and 2019 — is engaged to British TV and radio host Maya Jama following a courtship of around seven months. He reportedly popped the question in New Jersey over the holidays with a ring purchased from Jewelers' Row in Philadelphia, where he's signed to the 76ers. "Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her," said a source, noting that "they're both thrilled" to take their relationship to the next level. In the Winter 2022 issue of Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott's Drew + Jonathan Reveal magazine, which hits newsstands on Jan. 7, Jonathan reveals that he and his girlfriend of more than two years, Zooey Deschanel, secretly bought their first property together — a 1938 Georgian-style home in the Los Angeles area — in June 2020 less than a year into their relationship. In an excerpt that debuted online on Dec. 27, the "Property Brothers" star writes that their "dream home" became "the largest residential renovation" of his career. "As a couple undertaking a massive renovation project, if the most you're disagreeing on is sink placement and recessed lighting, you're probably doing well," he writes, adding that he hopes the home will turn out "as close to [Zooey's] vision as possible" because he knows that "like her, it will be beautiful, eclectic and wonderfully unique." An attorney in their divorce case told Us Weekly in a statement, "I can confirm that Scottie and Larsa Pippen are now divorced. … All issues were resolved amicably. The parties are now focusing [on] successfully co-parenting their remaining minor children."
