Take a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-March 2023, starting with this former couple…
On March 22, Sophia Culpo confirmed on TikTok that she and Braxton Berrios recently called it quits following two years of coupledom. "The single sisters," she wrote across a video of herself enjoying a spa day with big sis Aurora Culpo. For weeks now, there have been whispers online that the professional football player and the reality star had quietly parted ways. Although it's unclear when exactly they threw in the towel, multiple anonymous sources told Deux Moi that Braxton's alleged flirtation with TikTok star Alix Earle played a role in the split. According to one tipster, "Braxton broke up with Sophia after meeting Alix … [and] they are now hooking up."
Alix split from professional baseball player Tyler Wade in late 2022. On March 21, she hinted that she's seeing someone new when she took to TikTok to share a video of herself doing her makeup before a date. It's unclear if Braxton was the lucky guy, though he posted about visiting Miami, where Alix lives, on his Instagram Story on March 22. (He signed with the Miami Dolphins a few days earlier.)

During an interview with Page Six that debuted online on March 20, Braunwyn Windham-Burke alleged that she filed to divorce her estranged husband, Sean Burke, after she discovered that he'd "emptied" their joint bank accounts in late 2022: "Literally, one day I woke up and I had no access to any of my cards or any money. And that was why I filed for divorce," claimed the "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum, who initially planned to stay married to Sean after they separated in mid-2021 following her public revelation that she's a lesbian. (Sean, meanwhile, told Page Six that "any funds that were moved were used to pay family bills.")
The mother of seven went on to complain that she had "a pretty cushy thing going" while married to Sean but that her "life is hard" now. "If he doesn't send me money — because legally he's not required to — then I can't buy food or groceries," she said, alleging that Sean "sends very little" and that her parents have been financially supporting her and her five minor children. "He doesn't send enough to cover groceries," she claimed. "He'll be like, 'If they need food, I'll go get it.' … For 28 years, he was completely in control of everything. That was 100 percent him and I allowed that." She speculated that Sean is afraid he's going to lose her once she's in control of her own finances: "It's almost like he'd rather have me around asking [for money] — or in some cases, I've been begging for money — than to not have me at all," she said.
After years of living a life of luxury, the former reality star now has a new perspective on money: "So much of my life was about material things. Huge parties, expensive trips, shopping. I've lost all of that. When I walked away from my 20-plus-year marriage, I gave all of that up," she said, adding that she never thought she's be "so happy with so little." Continued Braunwyn, who entered into a non-legally-binding marriage with Jennifer Spinner on Valentine's Day, "I look at Jen and I see this future and I see the person next to me and it's all worth it and it's not the life that I thought I was going to have. It's so different but it's so beautiful."
The 45-year-old is now working for the first time in her life: "I never had to work before and now I do. And that's OK," she said. "Sean and I have been together since we were teenagers. I dropped out of college. I never worked. I stayed home and I raised seven kids and I was a full-time mom. … I have gone back to work. But just because I'm working to help take care of the kids doesn't mean that Sean shouldn't have to also."
She concluded by speculating that her ex is still bitter over their breakup: "Maybe not even consciously but I think there's a part of him that's like, 'You shouldn't be able to get away with what you just did. You just walked away from our family and marriage. You should be a little unhappy. Like, you need to suffer a little,'" she said.

On March 22, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are "on a break" but "still in contact" amid a rough patch in their relationship. "They are very hot and cold. … Their relationship is pretty volatile at the moment. They are currently off, but still texting each other," the source said, adding that the duo "have stalled wedding planning to work on their issues." They got engaged in early 2022 but have been on the outs since mid-February 2023.

During a wide-ranging interview for the cover of the April 2023 issue of Vanity Fair, Gisele Bundchen side-stepped questions about the nature of her relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor and rumored boyfriend, Joaquim Valente: "I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I'm divorced, I'm sure that [the public is] going to try to attach me to anything," she said, adding that the MMA fighter and his two brothers "have become great friends." Added Gisele of Joaquim in particular, "He's a person that I admire and that I trust." She then said that recent reports she's dating Elle Macpherson's ex-husband, Jeffrey Soffer, are "absurd" and "ridiculous." Said Gisele of the billionaire, who's friends with her ex-husband, Tom Brady, "I have zero relationship with him in any way. … He's Tom's friend, not my friend. … I wouldn't be with his friend. I wouldn't be with this guy."
She also addressed her late 2022 split from the NFL superstar, noting that his decision to un-retire from professional football was just part of "a much bigger puzzle." The implosion of their marriage was "not so black and white," she insisted, adding that claims his career contributed to their split were "very hurtful" and "the craziest thing" she'd ever heard. "[A divorce] takes years to happen," she said. "Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart. … When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make. That doesn't mean you don't love the person. It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? It's a dance. It's a balance. … When you love someone, you don't put them in a jail and say, 'You have to live this life.' You set them free to be who they are, and if you want to fly the same direction, then that's amazing."

On March 21, "Entertainment Tonight" confirmed recent speculation that Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin are engaged. "[They] are engaged. They have been showing off her ring to people and are so happy. They're always very in love with one another and by each other's sides, but they're even happier than usual. They can't wait to start this new chapter together," a source said. The former Disney Channel star and the model first raised questions about their relationship status when the model was seen wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring at the 2023 Mammoth Film Festival in early March.

On the March 19 episode of her "Intimate Knowledge" podcast, Meghan King revealed that, sometime within the last few months, she reconnected with a man from her past: Will Roos. They've been off and on for three years, she said, noting that this is the third time they've dated and that Will was upset when she married President Joe Biden's nephew, attorney Cuffe Biden Owens, in 2021 — the same year she and Will dated for the second time. "We're not totally together, but we are totally together. I'm totally committed to him. I think he is to me. I don't know — that's not the point. The point is that it's working for now, and I'm happy with the space that I'm in," said the "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum. "I think after three years on and off of doing this, I don't know, it's gotta mean something, right?" she concluded of her long-distance love.

On March 17, TMZ broke the news that Ben Savage quietly married his love of several years, Tessa Angermeier, in a ceremony officiated by his brother, "The Wonder Years" alum Ben Savage, in mid-February — about a month after he first implied on Instagram that they'd gotten engaged. Although the "Boy Meets World" alum has yet to publicly acknowledge the marriage, a wedding guest took to Instagram on Feb. 19 to share a since-deleted slideshow of wedding photos along with the caption, "Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Savage, we couldn't be happier for you [guys]." Tessa also indicated that they'd made things official when she adopted Ben's last name on her private Instagram account.

According to the New York Post, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 92, got engaged to former San Francisco police chaplain Ann Lesley Smith, 66, in New York City on March 17. "I was very nervous. I dreaded falling in love — but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I'm happy," said the Australian-American billionaire, who's been married four times before. Said the bride-to-be, who was previously married to country music star Chester Smith, "For us both it's a gift from God. … I'm a widow 14 years. Like Rupert, my husband was a businessman. Worked for local papers, developed radio and TV stations and helped promote Univision. So I speak Rupert's language. We share the same beliefs. In perspective, it's not my first rodeo. Getting near 70 means being in the last half. I waited for the right time. Friends are happy for me." Echoed the businessman, "We're both looking forward to spending the second half of our lives together." The couple met in September 2022 — a month after Rupert finalized his divorce from his fourth wife, supermodel Jerry Hall — during a party at his Moraga Estate vineyard in Los Angeles. We're just trying to get through these next few steps and trying to make amends, hear everybody out — I know a lot of people are angry. So I think [the goal is] just getting through these next few steps and seeing where it goes. We're not putting a label on anything — just kind of taking a break for now," she said. She also insisted that Tom Schwartz didn't know about her affair with Sandoval and that she "genuinely had an interest" in him before she and Sandoval took their relationship to the next level while he was still in a long-term relationship with Ariana Madix. "There was a genuine curiosity there," she said, adding that her flirtation with Schwartz "wasn't a cover-up" for her relationship with Sandoval, as has been widely speculated.

"Tamar, I'm here forever because I don't see my life without you," the attorney said while popping the question. On March 17, Tamar took to Instagram to indicate that she and JR are still going strong: "We are blessed and drama free.
