The dress
Princess Eugenie wore a stunning off-white wedding dress by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, founders of the Britain-based label Peter Pilotto. It featured a fitted bodice and full pleated skirt with a neckline that folds around the shoulders to a low back that drapes into a flowing full length train. According to the palace, "The low back feature on the dress was at the specific request of Princess Eugenie who had surgery aged 12 to correct scoliosis." The dress' fabric, a jacquard of silk, cotton and viscose blend, was unique and full of meaning. The designers crafted it to include symbols that are meaningful to Princess Eugenie as motifs: "The symbols are a Thistle for Scotland acknowledging the couple's fondness for Balmoral, a Shamrock for Ireland as a nod to the Bride's Ferguson family, the York Rose and ivy representing the couple's home [at Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace]," the palace explained. Her big surprise? No veil! Keep reading to see the look from every angle…

Her surgery scar
Per her request, the palace revealed, the back of Princess Eugenie of York's wedding dress was designed to reveal her scoliosis surgery scar — she underwent the procedure at age 12.

The tiara and jewelry
Princess Eugenie wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara on her wedding day — a stunning accessory lent to her by her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The piece — which is made of brilliant and rose-cut diamonds pavé set in platinum, with six emeralds on either side — was made by Boucheron in 1919 "in the fashionable 'kokoshnik' style popularized in the Russian Imperial Court," the palace explained, and bequeathed by its original owner, Mrs. Greville, to Queen Elizabeth in 1942. Eugenie also wore diamond and emerald drop earrings — a wedding gift from Jack.
The bride's second gown
For the evening wedding reception at her parents' home, Royal Lodge, Princess Eugenie — seen here with her new husband, Jack Brooksbank, ahead of the dinner in one of four official wedding photos released by the palace — changed into a gorgeous pintucked plissé dress cut on the bias that was crafted by American fashion designer Zac Posen. "Mr. Posen was inspired by the beauty of Windsor and the surrounding countryside. The choice of colour reflects the blush of an English rose. Mr. Posen took his inspiration from the White Rose of York," the palace explained in a statement, adding that "The White Rose of York is subtlety embroidered on both the shoulder and back which hold together the cape. The silk for the gown comes from Biddle Sawyer Silk." Though it can't be seen in this official photo from the evening reception, Eugenie accessorized with a wheat-ear hair slide that belongs to her grandmother the queen, who inherited the piece from Queen Victoria.

The wedding cake
London-based cake designer Sophie Cabot — a former costume designer — created Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's decadent autumn-themed red velvet and chocolate wedding cake. The masterpiece was made up of three tiers of red velvet cake and two tiers of chocolate sponge cake covered with buttercream and white icing. The confection was decorated with sugar-paste foliage including ivy, acorns, berries and flowers. Get a close-up look next…
A closer look at the cake
Here's a closer look at the hand-crafted details on Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding cake, which was created by cake designer Sophie Cabot using up to 400 eggs, at least 53 packs of unsalted butter, 33 pounds of organic self-rising flour and 44 pounds of sugar as well as vanilla essence, vanilla bean paste and red food coloring.
The bouquet
"The wedding bouquet, created by floral designer Rob Van Helden's sister, Patrice Van Helden Oakes, consists of Lily of the Valley, Stephanotis pips, hints of baby blue thistles, white spray roses and trailing ivy," the palace announced. According to a royal custom started by Queen Victoria's eldest daughter on her own wedding day, it also included sprigs of myrtle, which came from Osbourne House.
The flowers
Floral designer Rob Van Helden created the rich, vibrant autumnal displays that decorated St. George's Chapel for Princess Eugenie's wedding. According to the palace, they were "created using foliage and flowering branches, sourced locally from Windsor Great Park, combined with roses, spray roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and berries" and also included Liquid Amber trees.
The bride's arrival wheels
Princess Eugenie of York traveled to St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle accompanied by her father, the Duke of York, in a 1977 Rolls Royce Phantom VI. The beautiful vehicle — the same one that Duchess Kate rode in on her way to Westminster Abbey when she married Prince William in 2011 — was presented to Queen Elizabeth II in 1978 for her Silver Jubilee by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
The getaway car
Following their lunchtime wedding reception, Princess Eugenie and new husband Jack Brooksbank — with an assist from maid of honor Princess Beatrice — left Windsor Castle in a beautiful Aston Martin DB10 that was originally made for the James Bond film "Spectre." They headed to the York family home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, to prepare for their evening wedding reception — a black-tie affair hosted by the bride's divorced parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.
The church
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank married at the historic St. George's Chapel, which was designed in the English Perpendicular Gothic style and built in the 14th century by King Edward IV, on the grounds of Windsor Castle. Eugenie's cousin Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle there in May 2018, and her uncle Prince Edward (Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's youngest son) wed Sophie Rhys-Jones there in 1999. The chapel is also where King Henry VIII is buried — and where Queen Elizabeth will someday be laid to rest.
The castle
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding and reception venues are both located on the grounds of ancient Windsor Castle — the queen's weekend home in the English county of Berkshire — which was originally built in the 11th century. Military bandsmen are seen here marching on the castle's parade grounds after the nuptials with both the chapel and the castle itself rising up in the background.
The mother of the bride
Sarah Ferguson — better known as Fergie or the Duchess of York — looked happy and beautiful on daughter Princess Eugenie's wedding day wearing a green dress by local Windsor company Emma Louise Design, which she accessorized with a vintage Manolo Blahnik bag. (The bag was carried by Susan Barrantes at Fergie's wedding to Prince Andrew in 1986, the palace noted.) Fergie (seen arriving here with eldest daughter Princess Beatrice) praises her ex-husband whenever she's asked about him. "He is the finest man in my life and he's got an essence of gold. He's a nugget of goodness," she told Australian radio DJs Kyle and Jackie O in 2016. As for their unusual living arrangements — they both live in his residence, Royal Lodge, in Windsor — she said, "we're very happy with the way things are… I think the great thing is that we absolutely are the most extraordinary example of a unified family."
The father of the bride
Prince Andrew, Duke of York, walked daughter Princess Eugenie down the aisle on her wedding day. Though he and Eugenie's mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, divorced in 1996 a decade after their wedding, they've remained incredibly close (curiously, they still live in the same home more than two decades after their split, albeit a very large one). "I just see it as illogical not to be a friend at the end of the day, regardless of what your set of circumstances are," he told the British media in 2014. "It's meant a whole heap to the family."
The maid of honor
Princess Eugenie asked her big sister, Princess Beatrice of York, to be her maid of honor. Beatrice wore a blue dress by Ralph and Russo and a hat by Sarah Cant on her little sister's wedding day.
The best man
The couple's bridal party was full of familiar faces — and a few that are new to royal scrutiny. Jack Brooksbank's brother, Thomas Brooksbank (left), served as best man.
The rings
Jack Brooksbank, the European manager for Casamigos Tequila (yes, George Clooney's brand), gave Eugenie a unique engagement ring: a large pinkish-orange oval padparadscha sapphire surrounded by diamonds, which is strikingly similar in appearance to the ring featuring Burmese ruby surrounded by diamonds that the bride's father, Prince Andrew, gave to her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York. On their wedding day, Jack slipped a simple gold wedding band on Eugenie's finger during the ceremony.
The kiss!
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank shared their first kiss as husband and wife on the steps outside the west door of St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle following their royal wedding.
The bridesmaids
Princess Eugenie's young bridesmaids are all royal cousins except one — and she's the daughter of famous parents! Attending the bride were Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, 3; Savannah Philips, 7, and Isla Phillips, 6 (the daughters of Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, and his wife, Autumn); Mia Tindall, 4 (the daughter of Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, and her husband, Mike); Maud Windsor, 5 (Eugenie's goddaughter and the daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor, the only son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and his wife); and Theodora Williams, 6 (the daughter of pop star Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field, a TV host and judge on Britain's "The X Factor").
The page boys
Just two little men served as page boys at Princess Eugenie's wedding: His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, 5 (pictured with his sister), and Louis de Givenchy, 6 (the son of banker Olivier De Givenchy and wife Zoe). The pageboys, along with the bridesmaids, wore outfits designed by Amaia Arrieta of Amaia Kids. The design incorporates the Mark Bradford artwork included in the Order of Service, the palace explained.
The special attendants
Princess Eugenie made the unusual choice of tapping two more relatives to serve as special attendants at her wedding. Cousins Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, 14 (pictured here in blue, helping the little ones), and James, Viscount Severn, 10 (not pictured) — both the children of Eugenie's uncle Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex — were also in the bridal party.
The carriage ride
After their wedding ceremony, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank ascended into a the Scottish State Coach and took a short procession around the town of Windsor following a route that began at St. George's Chapel and ended at Windsor Castle. Shorter than the route taken by her cousin Prince Harry and his bride, Duchess Meghan, in May 2018, royals experts say it was similar to the carriage ride her uncle Prince Edward and his bride, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, took around Windsor following their nuptials in 1999. The beautiful coach was pulled by four Windsor Grey horses: Plymouth, Milford Haven, Tyrone and Storm. The two outriders? Horses Claudia and Sir Basil.
New titles? Nope — and here's why
Unlike her famous cousins Prince Harry (who became the Duke of Sussex) and Prince William (who became the Duke of Cambridge), Princess Eugenie, 28, did not receive a new title on her wedding day. Nor was her groom, Jack Brooksbank, 32, gifted with a royal title, which royals experts say would have been unusual since there's no precedent for it. Britain's patriarchy dictates that women can take the title of their husbands, but men can't take the title of their wives, which means that if Eugenie chooses, she can either be known simply as Mrs. Brooksbank or she can combine her names and be styled as HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank, reports Town & Country.
The lunchtime reception venue
Queen Elizabeth II hosted a lunchtime wedding reception for her granddaughter, Princess Eugenie, in three of Windsor Castle's state apartments: the Grand Reception Room, the Waterloo Chamber (pictured) and the Grand Reception Room.
The food
Guests at the standing lunchtime reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II — here, Princess Eugenie is seen leaving the bash at Windsor Castle — were treated to finger foods like bites of beef in Yorkshire pudding and Scotch eggs, People magazine reported, as well as risotto and hors d'oeuvres such as smoked venison rolls, The Telegraph added. Guest also were reportedly served Pol Roger champagne.
The evening reception venue
The bride's father, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, hosted his younger daughter's evening wedding dinner and reception at his nearby home, Royal Lodge, in Great Windsor Park. Though he and Sarah, Duchess of York, divorced in 1996, Fergie also lives there when she's in Britain. They erected a huge tent on the lush grounds for the celebration that went well into the wee hours of the next morning.
The day-after party
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank kept the party going, hosting yet another epic bash — this time with a funfair and festival theme — the day after their wedding on the grounds of her father's property in Great Windsor Park. There were rides including a ferris wheel and an old-fashioned carousel (guest Hayley Bloomingdale shared the photo seen here on her Instagram Story) as well as games like a coconut shy plus food stalls and, of course, more cocktails. Pop star and wedding guest Ellie Goulding, who also performed at Prince William and Duchess Kate's 2011 wedding party, also took the stage at Eugenie's second-day bash, Metro reported.
The wedding singer
Famed Italian opera tenor Andrea Bocelli sang two pieces at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's royal wedding on Oct. 12, 2018. Musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra — Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew, is its patron — also performed during the service. And James Vivian, the director of music for St. George's Chapel, wrote descants for two hymns that were sung during the service.
The other wedding singer
Reports revealed that wedding guest Robbie Williams, the British pop star whose daughter Teddy served as one of Princess Eugenie's bridesmaids, jumped on stage during Princess Eugenie's evening wedding reception at Royal Lodge and performed "Angels" and more greatest hits. MailOnline reported that guests kept the party going with Casamigos margaritas (groom Jack Brooksbank works for George Clooney's tequila brand) and soaked up the booze with snacks from a gourmet pizza truck brought in for the party.
An unusual reading
Princess Eugenie's maid of honor, sister Princess Beatrice, gave a reading during the wedding service — a passage from the American novel "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald — which was hailed as an inspired yet unusual choice.
The clergy
The Archbishop of York — The Most Reverend and Right Honorourable John Sentamu — wrote a personal prayer for Princess Eugenie's wedding service. The Dean of Windsor — The Right Reverend David Conner (pictured) — officiated as the royal and Jack Brooksbank made their wedding vows. He also gave an address at the wedding.
The royal guests
Royal family members Queen ELizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Prince William, Duchess Kate, Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan, Princess Anne, Sarah, Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice, Peter Phillips, Autumn Phillips, Mike Tindall, Zara Tindall, and Lady Louise attended Princess Eugenie's wedding at St. George's Chapel in Windsor on Oct. 12, 2018.
The royal guests: Proud grandparents
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip — who, due to his ailing health, reportedly decided on the morning of the wedding if he would attend or not — arrived 10 minutes before the ceremony began.
The royal guests: Cousin William
Duchess Kate and husband Prince William arrived for the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on Oct. 12, 2018.
The royal guests: Cousin Harry
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan arrived for the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on Oct. 12, 2018.
Notably missing: Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall
Though Prince Charles attended his niece's wedding, his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, skipped the nuptials. The official reason? She had a long-standing official visit already planned to see the children at Carthy primary school near the queen's Balmoral estate in Scotland. Royal gossips, however, speculated that her absence is a clear snub. Camilla, the Daily Mail reported, doesn't have a great relationship with Prince Andrew or his ex wife, Fergie, and wanted to avoid having to spend time with them.
