There's a new man in Paulina Porizkova's life.
The beauty, 56, has quietly been dating Oscar-winning writer Aaron Sorkin, 59, Page Six reported — and they're set to make their red carpet debut at the Academy Awards on Sunday, April 25, where he's nominated for best original screenplay for his "The Trial of the Chicago 7" script.
The Czech model and the Oscar-winning screenwriter — who took home the best adapted screenplay prize for his "The Social Network" script in 2011 — have been seeing each other for a few months, a source told the New York Post's gossip column. Porizkova has been hinting about a new relationship, showing herself in full-blown date-night prep on social media earlier this week, where she shared an Instagram selfie wearing a face mask, shower cap and glasses.
"Date night! Lucky the man that gets this full glory," she captioned the shot.
Going public with a new man is new territory for Porizkova. At 19, she started seeing Ric Ocasek, the lead singer of The Cars, and the two were married for 30 years. Ocasak passed away suddenly in 2019, while he and Porizkova were still married, but separated. She discovered after his death that he'd omitted her from his will, explaining that they were in the process of divorcing, and even if he should die before the divorce was final, she was not to be entitled to any of his fortune, as he believed she had "abandoned" him.
Earlier this year, Porizkova revealed that she was so cash poor following Ocasek's death that she relied on friends to help her buy groceries.
"I got two mortgaged houses and the pension, but no way to pay for anything," she told Page Six. "So obviously things had to be sold, but until they got sold, I had nothing to live on. I literally went through a year of asking my friends to buy us groceries. It was not a good position to be in."
