We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time," they said.

"Zayn would love to continue to see Selena and see where things go. … He's always admired her and thinks she's an incredible person, inside and out," the source said, adding that although Zayn has been "focused on himself" in the years since he split from his former off-and-on love, model Gigi Hadid, he now "feels like he's ready to date again." Said the insider, "He's feeling optimistic about the possibility of things growing between him and Selena but isn't putting any pressure on the situation. He'd rather just let things progress organically and believes she feels the same."
Meanwhile, Page Six reported that, according to a source, Selena and Zayn previously "had a thing years ago" — circa 2012 when her best friend, Taylor Swift, dated his bandmate, Harry Styles. Around that time, Selena also copped to having a crush on Zayn.

On March 27 — after a fan went viral for claiming to have "all the proof" that Becky G's fiancé, Sebastian Lletget, cheated on her in February — the soccer star took to Instagram to publicly apologize to the singer-actress. In a lengthy statement, he cryptically alluded to some bad behavior on his part but stopped short of fessing up to cheating on his long-term love: "I know in my heart that I couldn't have achieved a lot of my personal and professional growth, let alone navigate the challenges in my life without the love and support of Becky by my side," he wrote, adding that he's "struggled with personal trauma and acute anxiety" compounded by "denial, pride and bad decisions."
Explained the FC Dallas midfielder, "Over the last several weeks, during a moment I regret deeply, a 10-minute lapse in judgment resulted in an extortion plot. Since this person did not get what they wanted, it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person I should never take for granted or put at risk. While this anonymous internet stalker — who I never met, unlike they claimed — had an ultimate goal that was not clear, for me, it has been a wake-up call. The loudest alarm of my life. I can't keep running from demons. I know that any actions made that put us here should have never happened to begin with. Pushing right up to the very boundaries of lines that should never be crossed only hurts me and the people I love most."
Continued the professional athlete, "This past week of chaos and pain has forced me to face the consequences of my actions, my fears and my lapses from the past." He added that he planned to enter "a mental wellness program to work on the parts of me that deeply need healing."
Sebastian concluded by addressing his fiancée directly, writing, "To Becky, you have been the light in my life, my strength, who has always shown me unconditional love. Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything. I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve."
Later that night, the former "Power Rangers" star posed on the red carpet at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards without Sebastian — or her massive engagement ring.

Our moms have been trying to hook us up for over a decade, so this is the best day ever for them, and us! It's just so much love and warmth," gushed the bride. The duo got engaged in October 2022.
