Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late April 2021, starting with this duo… On April 19, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell were "on non-speaking terms" in the wake of reports that amid their reconciliation, she caught him getting close to another woman. Just four days later, however, they were seen together in the Los Angeles area. Over the course of the next few days, there were multiple sightings of the off-and-on duo in various parts of Southern California. According to an E! News source, Matt "initiated the visit" because he "felt horrible about what went down with him and Rachael recently and wanted to see her." She was reportedly "very skeptical" about giving the former star of "The Bachelor" another shot but ultimately "cares about Matt and wanted to hear what he had to say." Explained the insider, "They aren't back together, but [they] definitely still have feelings [for each other]. They are having a good time right now and everything feels back to normal between them." A few days after that, Matt told People magazine that he's "seen Rachael a handful of times" and is "not pursuing any relationships right now outside of that." Added the reality star, "I said I was going to focus on my relationship with her and that means focusing on it."

People magazine reported on April 21 that, according to a source, in the past, Scott Disick has "struggled" with and "been jealous" of Kourtney Kardashian's relationships with other men — but "he is struggling even more" now that Travis Barker is in the picture. "Before Travis, Kourtney's relationships were never serious. It was more like flings. With Travis, it's different," said the source. "Scott was pretty shocked when he found out that they are dating, and he can tell that they have moved very quickly. His kids love Travis, which is also hard for Scott. Kourtney and Travis are like a family with the kids. Scott is having a hard time with this situation." The insider added that the father of three "has many regrets" regarding his relationship with Kourtney. "He knows that he messed up their relationship and let her down. For a long time, he still hoped that they would end up back together," the source said. Meanwhile, Scott has been dating 19-year-old model Amelia Gray Hamlin since late 2020. Their relationship is reportedly "serious."

Back in January, there were unsubstantiated rumors circulating online that Kim Kardashian and Van Jones had taken their relationship to the next level amid her split from Kanye West. On April 25, those rumors remerged thanks to Page Six's Cindy Adams, who cryptically wrote in her gossip column, "A new burble's coming out of the Kim Kardashian klub. Throats are clearing after whispering the name Van Jones." She added that the CNN contributor, who's been friends with the reality star for years, "knows folk who'll quickly shut their tongues if his name is even breathed in connection" with hers. "I will not wait while everybody tells me I don't know what I'm talking about," she concluded on the subject. While her analysis should certainly be taken with a hefty grain of salt, it's worth noting that Page Six did, in fact, break the news that divorce was "imminent" for Kim and Kanye earlier this year. Is it possible she's on to something? Not according to multiple Radar sources. One insider said Van "is aware of the rumors and is flattered" and "loving all the attention and buzz," but that ultimately, Kim "just isn't his type." Echoed a second Radar source, "He has enormous respect for Kim and what she has done to reform the criminal justice system, but he doesn't want to be part of her circus of reality TV crews and social media. Van takes himself very seriously." Said a third source, "He is a total media snob and is more interested in The New York Times than E! and Bravo. He likes Kim but has zero interest in becoming part of her tabloid world. Plus, he knows that anyone that dates Kim also has to date her entire family. It's a hard pass from Van." Yet another insider said that the mother of three "likes" Van because he's "smart and stable," "has his own money and fame" and "is a good man," but she's "focused on herself" and not on "getting a man" right now.
Did Tristan Thompson cheat on Khloe Kardashian… AGAIN?! On the April 22 episode of the "No Jumper" podcast, Instagram model Sydney Chase (see her here) claimed she hooked up with the Boston Celtics power forward amid his rekindled romance with Khloe Kardashian. "He told me he was not in a relationship anymore," she said, adding that they "hung out multiple times" and "went out together." Recalled Sydney, "I literally said, 'Are you single?' … And then I found out that he was not single and I cut him off." A few days later, Sydney doubled down on her previous claims, alleging that she "did have past relations" with Tristan, who sparked engagement rumors with Khloe earlier this year. "We first met [in] November — Nov. 11 to be exact. That's when everything started. And then the last time we had contact — besides when he messaged me after finding out about the [podcast] interview — was the day after his daughter's birthday party. He'd just got back home [to Los Angeles] from Boston." Tristan and Khloe's daughter, True, turned 3 on April 12. The pair have weathered multiple cheating scandals over the years.
According to multiple media outlets, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez dined together in Los Angeles on April 23 — more than a week after they released a joint statement announcing that they're ending the romantic aspect of their relationship in the wake of a cheating scandal. "There still seemed to be love and respect there," said a Page Six source, though an "Entertainment Tonight" spy claimed "the dinner did not appear to be a romantic situation." An E! News source, meanwhile, alleged that the former professional baseball player traveled to L.A. specifically to see the singer-actress. "He doesn't want to give up on their relationship and is willing to do whatever he has to do. He spent two nights with her trying to work things out," said the source. "He keeps trying to show her how serious he is and how much he loves her. But she still feels that their issues can't be resolved and that they should move on. He headed back to Miami alone on Saturday morning. He doesn't want to give up, but she is adamant about moving on." Echoed an Us Weekly source, "A-Rod will not give up on his and J.Lo's relationship. He is willing to do anything to make it work. … [She] still doesn't trust [him] all the way. She's very skeptical, but she heard him out because she still has a lot of love for him." The insider added that she's "not convinced yet" to take him back, but he's "determined to win her back." According to a second Us Weekly source, Jennifer "was always aware of the rumors" Alex was cheating or "messaging other girls," which "played a part in why the engagement ended." Added the insider, "She wants someone who's fully invested in her and someone she can trust when her partner is not around."
In her divorce filing, Jana Krama confirmed recent reports that her estranged husband, Mike Caussin, cheated again. E! News reported on April 26 that in legal documents, the "One Tree Hill" alum cites "inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences and adultery" as the reasons for their split. She lists their date of separation as April 20. The paperwork also reveals the pair signed a post-nuptial agreement. Jana is reportedly asking for joint custody of the two kids she shares with Mike and for him to pay alimony and to cover the cost of her legal fees. According to multiple E! News sources, the breakup came as a shock to the former couple's inner circle because they've been working so hard on their relationship in recent years. An Us Weekly source echoed that Jana thought "everything was fine" in her marriage until she "uncovered a recent infidelity" that served as the "final straw." According to the source, after the singer-actress underwent breast augmentation surgery earlier this year, Mike had been "helping take care of her" and their children — which made the infidelity all the more shocking. "She didn't know behind the scenes that he was continuously lying and cheating on her," said the insider, adding that the pair "went to couple's counseling every week" and were "actively working on their relationship" ahead of the split. Still, Mike's behavior "was the exact pattern that's happened numerous times" in the past. A second Us Weekly source said that the mother of two is "pretty heartbroken and distraught" and has said that their relationship is "over for good" this time. "She wouldn't have filed for divorce if she wasn't serious about it," said the second source, adding that Jana thought the marriage (her third) "would be her last" and that although she put in "lot of effort to make it work," she realized "she was doing all she could [but that] his past ways have come back to bite again." Other Us Weekly sources noted that Mike has moved out of the home he and Jana share and that they have yet to determine what will become of their joint business ventures. "It's her goal that it will be an amicable divorce considering all that Jana has been through in the marriage," said one insider, noting that their kids are her priority and that she's leaning on friends amid the split.
On April 23, an Us Weekly source shed some light on what went wrong between Zac Efron and Vanessa Valladares: "Zac is about to start a busy year of filming and wanted to make a clean break now," said the source, noting that the actor is scheduled to shoot "Firestarter" in Canada for two months. Vanessa moved in with Zac — who's been living in Australia — while they were a couple, but according to the insider, he plans on giving up the home they shared once he heads to Canada. (She wouldn't be able to visit him there due to travel restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic — meaning she would have his Australia home to herself while he's abroad.) "Zac is secretly relieved about this turn of events as he feels she would be a distraction to him during the filming of the intense drama. … He felt it was best to end this now," said the source, adding that the "High School Musical" alum's friends told him "he was getting in too deep and spending too much time" with the aspiring model. Zac is also set to shoot back-to-back projects after "Firestarter."
Us Weekly reported on April 28 that, according to a source, Katie Holmes and her boyfriend, Emilio Vitolo Jr., "both have a lot of commitments piling up" and "agreed to give each other space." Earlier in the month, there were reports that the pair's hot-and-heavy romance had started cooling.
On April 27, The Sun reported that, according to a source, Rita Ora and Taika Waititi — who directed several Marvel movies and won an Oscar for writing "Jojo Rabbit," in which he also starred — have "been a couple since early March but kept things low key." Added the source, "All their friends know about the relationship — they're really into each other." The duo first sparked romance rumors earlier in the month when they were seen stepping off a private jet in Sydney with Matt Damon, Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky. (Taika is directing "Thor: Love and Thunder," in which Chris stars and Matt is set to appear in a small role.) Two days later, Rita took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos including a shot of herself hanging out with another "Thor" star, Tessa Thompson, and a snap of herself embracing a man who appeared to be Taika. Then on April 25, an anonymous source told Deux Moi that Rita and Taika were "all over each other" and "legit making out the entire night" during a recent night out at a bar in Sydney.
Paris Jackson and Cara Delevingne sparked a fresh round of rumors about the nature of their relationship with their flirty behavior on April 25. The two women, who've been linked off and on since 2017, showed off their new matching tattoos (red roses on their forearms) on their Instagram Stories before attending an Academy Awards afterparty together. Paris also shared an image of a painting of herself and Cara embracing in their party duds.

The two-time Oscar nominee and the Mumford & Sons frontman, who were childhood friends, tied the knot in 2012 and have since welcomed two children.
Despite recent rumblings that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have reconciled romantically, E! News reported on April 23 that, according to a source, the former couple are still just "good friends" who have a "great co-parenting relationship" for the sake of their daughter, Stormi Webster. Echoed a second source, "Kylie and Travis have a good thing going right now. Kylie wants Stormi to have both parents around and values the family time they have." Meanwhile, Travis sparked rumors he's seeing someone new when he was spied hanging out in the vicinity of a gorgeous mystery woman at a nightclub in Los Angeles on April 25. Hollywood Life reported that, according to a spy, although they purportedly took pains to avoid being photographed together, it was clear the beauty was following the rapper around.
Still going strong! On April 24, Brandi Redmond posted about her husband, Bryan Redmond, on social media for the first time since he was seemingly caught cheating in mid-March. After indicating she and her hubby were out on a "date night," the "Real Housewives of Dallas" star said, "Happy. Happy life, happy wife." They've yet to address the video that purportedly shows Bryan kissing another woman at a nightclub.

Earlier this month, Dale Moss declined to comment on whether or not he and Clare Crawley are engaged again after briefly splitting earlier this year amid reports he was unfaithful. On April 26, however, the former star of "The Bachelorette" took to her Instagram Story to share (and then quickly delete) a video of herself drinking a juice box with her engagement bling on full display, indicating the engagement is back on. But that doesn't mean they're planning to tie the knot anytime soon. Explained an Us Weekly source, "Clare has been wearing her engagement ring but she's not ready to make a big announcement about her engagement being back on. They aren't rushing into marriage. They both are focused on work projects and want to make sure they're in a good place career-wise before they can make a serious commitment. … [She's] still trying to keep her relationship with Dale private. They both aren't really going around telling everyone what's going on with them. Right now, they still have their homes on opposite coasts. They're making it a point to meet up when they can because they love being together."
On April 26, "Entertainment Tonight" reported that, according to a source, although Kendall Jenner "is usually super private, much more so than her sisters" when it comes to her love life, "she's really happy with her relationship" with her boyfriend of a year, Devin Booker, "and doesn't care who knows." Echoed a People magazine source, "This is the happiest Kendall has ever been in a relationship. She and Devin started out slowly but have dated for about a year now." The insider added that while the model "is very private about their relationship," it's "obvious" that she and the professional basketball player "have something special going on."
According to Page Six, "The Real Housewives of Miami" alum Marysol Patton married her boyfriend of about a year, Steve McNamara, in Tulum, Mexico, on April 22. "They snuck off and did it just like that," said a source, adding that the pair "have been stuck like glue since they met." The duo, who were never formally engaged, reportedly exchanged vows in a traditional Mayan ceremony involving rituals led by a shaman — a tribute to the bride's late mother, Elsa Patton, who died in 2019. Marysol later confirmed her happy news on Instagram, captioning a video with her new hubby, "Just Married."

As congratulatory messages started pouring in, Lauren took to the comments section to clear things up: "I love you so much and appreciate all the 'congrats'! This *bridesmaids* dress is really living above its potential," she wrote. Replied Chris, "Wow you attend one wedding together…do one chicken dance and you're hitched! Congrats Christine and Kevin on a beautiful wedding and the start of a wonderful life together. I do love this bridesmaid though."

It wasn't the right time. Who knows what the future holds, but it just wasn't the right time," she said, adding that she's "been on a few dates" since the breakup. (Back in October 2020, the reality star was linked to professional basketball player Michael Porter Jr.) Now she's focused on finding a husband. "As a 25 year old, I would love to, one, find my husband. Like, wow, that is my No. 1 [goal]. I'm so sorry — I'm just being honest," she said. "I would love to meet him this year — just meet him. We don't have to be, like, engaged or anything. I'd like to be engaged. That'd be cool. I don't want to date very long. I don't want to be engaged very long. Honey, she's trying to get married. "Just the two of us, on an island off of Florida. No makeup, no manicure, no ring photos. It was very simple and beautiful." During an interview with Page Six that debuted online on April 23, Wayne Brady opened up about his relationship with his ex-wife, Mandie Taketa, and her boyfriend or nearly a decade, Jason Fordham. The trio made headlines last year when the multi-hyphenate revealed they were all quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic. "It was weird that it was considered unusual," he said of their living arrangement. "That's just our family. And we aren't like that because we put our daughter first. We are like that because Mandie, my ex, is also my best friend and she's my production partner. We have a company together, we work together, we love each other, we are a family. … I love Jason. He's a member of our family, so we have something that is out of the ordinary, but it's a shame that it is out of the ordinary because it would be great if we could have more relationships built out of years of trust and love, and you can move on if you need to move on." He added that after he and Mandie divorced in 2007, they agreed it was better for their daughter "to see that we're actually friends, that we have each other's back." Jason and Mandie connected while he was working as a backup dancer on Wayne's residency in Las Vegas, which she directed. "[Mandie and I] weren't together, but yeah, it was hard because I'm human," Wayne admitted. "But because I'm also human, I learned from it."
