Mod Sun's ring
After more than a year as a couple, musician Mod Sun asked Avril Lavigne to be his wife in Paris in March 2022. He proposed with a stunning heart-shaped diamond ring from XIV Karats from Beverly Hills. "It has the words 'Hi Icon' engraved in it, which were the first words he ever said to me. And it has Mod + Avril on the inside," Avril told People magazine. "He knew from the very beginning I wanted a heart-shaped diamond because on the day we met, we had matching heart-shaped paved rings on. We've worn them every day since, so it's only fitting to have a heart-shaped engagement ring. I love it so much." But it wasn't meant to be: The couple split and ended their engagement in February 2023.

In January 2022, she and new love Machine Gun Kelly announced their engagement to the world. Machine Gun Kelly's ring
Machine Gun Kelly proposed to Megan Fox on Jan. 11, 2022, with a unique diamond and emerald ring following a year and a half of dating. "'yes, in this life and every life' beneath the same branches we fell in love under, i brought her back to ask her to marry me. i know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022," the music star captioned a video debuting her ring on Instagram. Days later, MGK shared more details about the piece with Vogue. "It's a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment," he explained, adding that he intentionally wanted thorns incorporated into the design. "The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it's together, it's held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? … The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts… " he said, though it's unclear if he was joking. "Love is pain!"

The Harry Winston sparkler was estimated to be worth $2.5 million at the time. They were set to exchange vows in 2020 but canceled their wedding plans twice amid the coronavirus pandemic. In March 2021, they reportedly called it quits following reports Alex behaved inappropriately with "Southern Charm" star Madison LeCroy, though a day later, J.Lo and A-Rod insisted it was just a rough patch and that they remained together. But less than a month later, they confirmed it was over for good and that they're "better as friends," though neither commented on who would end up with her ring that's worth an estimated $1.8 million.
_

In a previous post in her newsletter, J.Lo — who married Ben in July 2022 in Las Vegas then had a bigger wedding for family and friends in August — shared that green has been a significant color during special moments in her life. "I always say the color green is my lucky color. Maybe you can remember a certain green dress," she wrote, a reference to the plunging green Versace gown she wore to the 2000 Grammys. "I've realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green. It may be a coincidence, maybe not. But as I took a better look, I realized there are no coincidences."

"[She] started complaining how heavy her 24-carat ring was and that her finger hurt," a source told Us Weekly at the time, so her fiancé "got her a more manageable diamond-less platinum Cartier band for everyday wear." The couple ended their engagement in November 2005.
Chris Zylka's ring
Actor Chris Zylka of "The Leftovers" fame proposed to Paris Hilton in Aspen, Colorado, over the 2017 holidays with a ginormous 20-carat pear-shaped diamond ring from Greene & Co. worth $2 million. She added that the ring "has like, 15 diamonds going around and then inside it has a 'P' with a sapphire." Paris and Carter wed on Nov. 11, 2021.
