Steve — a retired police officer who lost his bid for governor of California in the 2021 recall election — proposed after just three months, telling People magazine in a statement, "I did ask Janis on December 20th if she would become Mrs. Steve Chavez Lodge, and she happily agreed. On Sept. 12, Britney Spears took to Instagram to announce that she and long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari are engaged. "I can't f****** believe it," she captioned a video of herself and her beau posing together while showing off her new engagement bling, which was designed by New York City-based jeweler Roman Malayev. (Sam also shared a photo of himself kissing the pop star as she showed off the simple yet elegant sparkler.) The fitness model-actor's manager confirmed the engagement news to People magazine, saying, "The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them."

Lindsay Lohan is engaged! The former child star took to Instagram on Nov. 28 to announce in a photo slideshow that she's planning to wed Bader Shammas. "My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love," she captioned a series of joyful photos with her man in which she's wearing her new engagement ring. People magazine reported that Bader is an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse in Dubai, where the actress has lived for the last seven years. The Independent reported that the couple have been together for two years.

Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend of more than two years, screenwriter Dylan Meyer, are engaged, the "Spencer" actress confirmed on "The Howard Stern Show" on Nov. 2. "We're marrying, we're totally gonna do it," K-Stew told Howard, as reported by People magazine. "I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. It was really cute, she did very well. We're marrying, it's happening." Kristen went on to explain, "I wasn't specific at all. It's not a given that I would be the one. You know what I mean? Travis conspired with Kardashian family florist Jeff Leatham, who set up thousands of red roses on the sand in the shape of a giant heart. "They had just got back from NYC [where Travis performed on 'Saturday Night Live'] and decided to do a day trip to Montecito. On Sept. 14, "Fast & Furious" franchise star Jordana Brewster announced her engagement to tech CEO Mason Morfit, whom she's been dating since the summer of 2020. "Orange Is the New Black" alum Taryn Manning accepted a marriage proposal from musician love Anne Cline during the singer-songwriter's performance at a bar and grill in Panama City, Florida, on June 11. TMZ posted a video of the moment Anne hopped off the stage and got down on one knee in front of the actress and slipped a ring on her finger. "It was the easiest YES I ever said!" Taryn told TMZ through her rep, who confirmed the engagement news. But it didn't last: In early October, news that they'd split had emerged.
Entertainer Frankie Grande popped the question to his boyfriend of two years, Hale Leon, on June 8, the couple told People magazine. Frankie — whose sister, pop star Ariana Grande, got married just a few weeks before he got engaged — brought Hale, whom he met at a line-dancing bar in 2019, to Dreamscape, an immersive virtual reality adventure venue in Los Angeles where they shared one of their first dates. "Teen Mom OG" star Cheyenne Floyd announced on Instagram on April 25 that she'd accepted a proposal from Zach Davis. "Speechless… We said Yessss! Today was perfect! I cannot put it into words yet but this is a moment I will cherish forever. Thank you @z.terrel I love youuuuuu!!" she captioned a slideshow capturing their engagement, which took place during a baby shower celebrating the impending birth of their first child together, a son. (Cheyenne also has a daughter, Ryder, from a previous relationship.) "She said yes! Put a ring on both of their fingers! I love you fiancé @cheynotshy today we celebrate a lifetime together!" Zach captioned a slideshow of his own. The off-and-on duo rekindled their romance in late 2020.
British model and reality TV star Katie Price, who used to go by the name Jordan, announced on Instagram on April 20 that she and her boyfriend of less than a year, Carl Woods, got engaged. "I said yes!" she captioned a photo of herself and her new fiancé showing off her new ring. She told OK! Julien Solomita revealed during an April 15 Twitch stream that he and fellow YouTube star Jenna Marbles got engaged after about eight years of being together. "A little while ago, I asked Jenna to marry me and she said yes, so we are engaged," he said, as reported by Just Jared.
On April 7 — after a year of courting — "Bringing Up Bates" star Katie Bates accepted a marriage proposal from boyfriend Travis Clark at The Reach Key West resort in Florida. On March 20, Italian singer-actor Benjamin Mascolo took to Instagram to announce that he and former Disney star Bella Thorne are engaged after two years together. "Jersey Shore" star Jenni "JWoww" Farley took to Instagram on March 9 to announce that she and off-and-on love Zack Clayton Carpinello got engaged "on the top of the Empire State Building" on her 35th birthday: Feb. 27. The wrestler wrote of the engagement on Instagram, "My always and forever. You made me the happiest I've ever been. I love you more than anything."
"RuPaul's Drag Race" judge Ross Mathews — who shot to fame as "Ross the Intern" on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" — announced on Instagram on Feb. 23 that he proposed to his boyfriend of about a year, Dr. Wellington García. "I am so proud to announce that after over a year together — navigating a pandemic, quarantine and opposite coasts — the smartest, funniest and kindest man I've ever met said, 'Yes!' Dr. García, I love you. A lifetime of adventure awaits," he captioned a photo of himself and his beau. Ross also opened up about the engagement on "The Drew Barrymore Show," on which he regularly appears: "About a year ago, I met somebody who just changed my life totally," he said. "He is an educator and he's hilarious and he's the smartest person I ever met. And, you know, Beyonce says, 'If you like it then you should've put a ring on it.' Well, I did. I did! … I can't even believe it, but yes, I am the happiest man. I met somebody so extraordinary." On Feb. 6 — while accepting his third NFL MVP award during the NFL Honors event — Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed that he "got engaged" in 2020. Two days later, People magazine confirmed that he popped the question to "Big Little Lies" star Shailene Woodley — to whom he was first romantically linked in the summer of 2020. On the Feb. 22 episode of "The Tonight Show," Shailene confirmed their engagement herself, explaining, "Everyone right now is freaking out over it and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while.'" On Jan. 1, Naturi Naughton announced on Instagram and via Essence that two days before Christmas 2020, she accepted a marriage proposal from her secret boyfriend of two years. Page Six later reported that her mystery man is a "Southern gentleman" who works in the music industry whom she met through "Power" co-star Omari Hardwick.
"One Tree Hill" alum Shantel VanSanten, who currently stars on "The Boys" and "For All Mankind," and actor Victor Webster announced on Instagram on Feb. 10 that they're engaged. The duo co-starred in the 2017 Hallmark Channel made-for-TV movie "Love Blossoms."
"Ladies of London" alum Caroline Stanbury announced on Instagram on Jan. 2 that she and former professional soccer player Sergio Carrallo got engaged while exploring the Himalayas in Nepal. The former Bravo star revealed her romance with the former Real Madrid player in July — less than seven months after she announced that she and her husband of 17 years, Cem Habib, were calling it quits.
Kate Bock announced on Instagram on Jan. 31 that she and her boyfriend of four years, professional basketball player Kevin Love, are engaged. According to Us Weekly, the athlete popped the question during dinner at Lilia in New York City, and the bride-to-be didn't see it coming: "I was completely surprised!" she gushed.
On Feb. 19 — after Kodak Black hinted on his Instagram Story that he and rapper Mellow Rackz had gotten engaged — his attorney confirmed the happy news to Complex. On Feb. 10, Adam Rippon announced on Instagram that he and his boyfriend of about three years, Jussi-Pekka Kajaala, got engaged in Finland late last year. The Olympian told People magazine that he and his beau popped the question simultaneously so they "both got to be the one who proposed!"
Donald Trump's youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, took to Instagram on Jan. 19 to announce that she's engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Michael Boulos. According to Page Six, he proposed in the Rose Garden at the White House over the weekend of Jan. 16.
