Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in early February 2022, starting with this duo… On Feb. 9, Sarah Palin and Ron Duguay were snapped walking hand-in-hand in New York City on their way to her court appearance concerning her defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. The PDA confirmed late-January reports that the former governor of Alaska and the New York Rangers hockey legend are more than "buddies," as the onetime "The Masked Singer" competitor previously claimed. The Daily Beast reported on Feb. 11 that Ron said on steps of the Manhattan federal courthouse that day, "We're friends. I'm here to support her." But when the outlet asked him via text the same day, "Are you dating Sarah Palin?" he responded with, "Hi. Yes."

On Feb. 8 — a day after Kanye West was seen spending time with Kim Kardashian look-alike Chaney Jones in Los Angeles (right) — Page Six reported that, according to a source, he and Julia Fox are in an "open relationship." Explained the source, "Their bond transcends typical norms because they're evolved beings who just want each other to be happy. There is no jealousy or bad vibes." According to a second Page Six source, Ye is "openly seeing" Chaney, while Julia is "talking to" a mystery man near her home base on the East Coast. Curiously, the "Uncut Gems" actress said on the Feb. 9 episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast that she's "always been so jealous and so possessive" in previous relationships. "I don't want to be like that in the future," she said. She later revealed that while she and the rapper have never specifically discussed their relationship status, they use labels: "I call him my boyfriend, and he calls me his girlfriend," she said, adding that their relationship has been "organic" and "natural." Gushed Julia of her beau, "He wants me to be the best version of myself — like, that is always the conversation, always. Like, how am I gonna … live up to my full potential, which I think is amazing." As for Kanye's public war of words with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian… "I'm sure there's still some residual feelings, and that's normal — it's human. I also know that he's with me now. And that's all that matters," Julia said. On Feb. 14, however, her rep released a statement to Page Six announcing that she and Ye "remain good friends and collaborators" but are "no longer together" romantically.

In early February, Ramona Singer was seen spending time with "Real Housewives" lothario Harry Dubin in Palm Beach, Florida. The duo first sparked romance rumors back in 2018 when they were snapped smooching in New York City. (See a photo here.) But Harry told Page Six on Feb. 9 that he's actually seeing someone else: Turkish designer Ajda Sabuncu. "I have a serious girlfriend," he said, adding that he's "seen Ramona" because "Palm Beach is small." Ramona also insisted to Page Six that she and Harry are just friends, telling the New York Post's gossip column, "Harry has a girlfriend. I have been in his company with her and friends." Harry was previously married to Aviva Drescher and dated Sonja Morgan off and on for years. He was also romantically linked to Luann de Lesseps at one point.

On Feb. 8, Adele attended the 42nd BRIT Awards in London rocking what appeared to be a massive engagement ring. The sizable bling sparked rumors that she and her boyfriend, sports agent Rich Paul, are engaged — in spite of recent reports that he's not "the settling-down type" and that their relationship is "volatile." An anonymous source told Deux Moi of the superstar singer, "[She] is indeed engaged! She and her fiancé aren't rushing wedding planning, but they do intend to have kids sometime soon." She was still wearing the ring when she sat down for an interview on "The Graham Norton Show" on Feb. 10, and though she neither confirmed nor denied an engagement, the truth seemed clear. "If I was, would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn't?" she teased, as reported by MailOnline. She also hinted at baby plans while speaking about her canceled Las Vegas residency, which she insisted will be rescheduled. "It is absolutely 100% happening this year. It has to happen this year because I've got plans for next year," she said. "Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby?" She also hinted at her desire to expand her family — she shares son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki — "It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children."

Kanye West and ex-wife Kim Kardashian spent the bulk of early February publicly feuding over their four children — specifically eldest child North West and her use of TikTok. After the rapper wrote on Instagram that his daughter was "put on TikTok against my will," the reality star responded by releasing a statement on her Instagram Story: "Kanye's constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media are actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create. As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness. Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye's obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all. From the beginning I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way. I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately, and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably," she wrote. Kanye then accused Kim of kidnapping their younger daughter, Chicago, on her birthday and of making him take a drug test to see his kids. He later alleged, "Kim accused me of putting a hit out on her." But Kim kept things positive during an interview with Vogue that debuted online on Feb. 9: "You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be 'Your dad's the best.' Make sure you are your co-parent's biggest cheerleader, no matter what you're personally going through," she said. She also opened up about why she ultimately walked away from their marriage: "For so long, I did what made other people happy. And I think in the last two years I decided I'm going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it's important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I've chosen myself. I think it's okay to choose you. My 40s are about being Team Me," she said. After the interview hit the Internet, Kanye took to Instagram to share a collage of pictures from Vogue's accompanying photo shoot, along with the caption, "God please bring our family back together."

Meanwhile, during an interview with "PEOPLE (The TV Show!)" that debuted online on Feb. 7, Pete Davidson publicly referred to Kim Kardashian as his girlfriend for the very first time. "Most of my daily life is getting into cars and showing up to a set. Or if I'm off [work], I just either hang with my friends or chill with my girlfriend inside. So I don't do much," he said of life in the spotlight. The "Saturday Night Live" star and the mother of four have been going strong since late last year.

On Feb. 7, People magazine reported that, according to a source, Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers are working on their relationship and "slowly figuring things out as a couple." Said the source, "Elizabeth's priority has always been her children and their well-being. The past year hasn't been easy, but she and Armie have always had love for each other." Said a second People source, "Elizabeth has always loved him. … He is really the love of her life. They obviously had a lot of issues, but Armie's rehab stay showed that he was committed to big changes. They get along and enjoy hanging out with the kids." An E! News source, however, insisted that Armie and Elizabeth "are in communication" and "making co-parenting work" but "are not back together." Echoed a second E! source, "They are co-parenting and that's the extent of their relationship." Agreed an Us Weekly source, "Elizabeth and Armie have been working together on their co-parenting relationship. They are not back together, there is nothing romantic going on between them." The duo, who share two children, announced in July 2020 that they were going their separate ways following a decade of marriage — Elizabeth even filed for divorce. Then, in early 2021, several women accused Armie of sexual violence. (He and Elizabeth were still married during the alleged affairs.) He then spent the bulk of 2021 seeking treatment for "drug, alcohol and sex issues" while simultaneously romancing other women.

During an interview with Rolling Stone that debuted online on Feb. 7, Jennifer Lopez said she sees forever with her back-on boyfriend, Ben Affleck: "I don't think we would have got back together if we thought that was where it was headed," she said of potentially calling it quits a second time. "We feel like what we found again is so much more important, and how we protect that and how we live our lives — what to share, what not to share — is the balance that we have now, the benefit of experience and the wisdom that we gained over the years." She also said of their first go-around, "It's funny because Ben and I were together, and we were so in love. It was one of the happiest times of my life. But also, there was this other thing happening where we were being criticized, and it really destroyed our relationship from the inside out, because we were just too young to understand at that time what were really the most important things in life." Later, on the Feb. 9 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," J.Lo said that the reconciliation came as a surprise to both her and Ben: "I don't think anybody was more surprised than us," she said. "You never could imagine something like that could happen. It's a beautiful thing."

The duo got engaged in early 2019 and, according to the rumor mill, were planning to exchange vows in Japan before the pandemic derailed their wedding plans.

At the time, she was pregnant with their fourth child, son Christian, and they'd just moved to New Jersey. "[Bill] was not around. He was working a lot, and he was really feeling himself for a bit — he was making money," she said, adding that she saw the "first red flag" when she found a credit card receipt for VIP bottle service at a nightclub. "Then I saw a text message in his phone and I confronted him with it, and he admitted it," she said, adding that she felt vulnerable because she was a "stay-at-home mom" with "no income" of her own at the time. "I was like, 'OK, do you want a divorce?' He was like, 'No.' I was like, 'Do you love her?' He said, 'No!' I said, 'Is it over?' He said, 'It's been over.'" Jennifer said she "got angry" and "threw things" at Bill while confronting him. The following day, Christian arrived. "Once the baby came and we were having our moments, I was just like, 'I want to make it work if he wants to make it work.' And we never f****** spoke about it again," she said.
