But on April 10, Henry cleared it up when he posted a photo of himself playing chess with his new girlfriend on Instagram, captioning it, "This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess." The Superman actor's love is Hollywood studio executive Natalie Viscuso, who posted the same photo on her own Instagram account and captioned hers, "Just teaching my dear Henry how to play some chess…or…maybe he let me win? 🤷🏼♀️." On April 6, Bachelor Nation super-sleuth Reality Steve tweeted that Matt James and his ex-girlfriend, Rachael Kirkconnell, are "not over" and are "currently in New York together." Not long after that, an anonymous source submitted photos to Deux Moi that purportedly show the former couple enjoying a casually dressed outing in New York City. (See the photos here.) The following day, however, People magazine reported that, according to a source, the former star of "The Bachelor" and his controversial final-rose recipient "are just friends." Said the source, "They are not together. He supports her as a friend. He is not looking for a relationship." (That same day, Rachael was seen visiting Matt's NYC pad.) Then on April 8, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Rachael "wants to be in a serious relationship" with Matt and "reached out to [him] to see if he would be open to meeting with her," and although "they've been communicating this whole time," he "just wants to be friends" and is "hesitant to take her back." An E! News source echoed that Matt "has no intentions of dating [Rachael] in the future" and implied that only she was pushing for a reconciliation. But that wasn't the end of it…

On April 9, Reality Steve dropped another major bombshell: In a 30-minute Instagram Live, he revealed that Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell have been in constant communication since the "After the Final Rose" special aired. During their daily FaceTime chats, he told her he was in love with her and wanted to be with her. He then paid for her trip to NYC to visit him. But a few days before Rachael arrived in the Big Apple, Matt attempted to hook up with another woman from his past — professional horse rider Grace Amerling, whom he allegedly ghosted when he left for "The Bachelor" — during a trip to Miami. According to Steve, Matt reconnected with Grace immediately following his February split from Rachael but wasn't intimate with her during his Florida trip. Here's where the plot thickens: Rachael found out about Grace from Steve. The two women have since communicated and exchanged receipts proving Matt was playing them both. According to an Us Weekly source, Rachael now feels "very hurt" and "manipulated" because she and Matt were "talking about a future together" and she was "very hopeful that things were going to work out." The insider added that both Rachael and Grace have "dropped him" in the wake of the scandal. Still, a Matt-friendly source claimed he was "not looking for a romantic relationship with Rachael after he ended it with her" in February and "tried to make it clear to her that he just wants to be friends." Said the second source, "Matt is a caring and supportive person, so he wouldn't want to block her out of his life completely." The insider described the love triangle as "a big miscommunication" between Matt and Rachael because he allegedly told her a romantic relationship wasn't in the cards … which directly contradicts what Steve says Matt told her.
Us Weekly reported on April 7 that, according to a source, Ariana Grande and her fiancé, Dalton Gomez, hope to tie the knot sometime early this summer. "They have been looking at venues in a few different cities but are most likely choosing California," said the source, adding that the pair want their wedding to be a "very small and intimate affair" but that they won't wed "until it's safe" to host an event amid the coronavirus pandemic. The insider went on to say that the duo is "beyond obsessed with each other" and spend "almost all their time together." Said the source, "He loves to dote on her [and] he just makes her really happy. All of Ariana's friends and family love him for her."
Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers finally made their relationship Instagram official on April 5. The actress took to her Instagram Story to share a video of herself and her fiancé — whom she described as "super-sexy, super-attractive" — driving in a car while discussing his "Jeopardy!" hosting gig. The Green Bay Packers quarterback, meanwhile, shared an Instagram Live during which the actress — who frequently referred to him as "my love" — asked him "10 questions about life and 'Jeopardy!'" The following day, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, "While some might be perplexed of how compatible they are, it's obvious among those close to them that they're meant to be. They're a great match because they're both hardworking, career-focused, have a similar lifestyle and are down to earth. … [They're] excited for this next chapter of their lives. Aaron wouldn't have proposed if he wasn't 100 percent serious about Shailene being The One. They're a private couple and for the most part, they keep details of their relationship private."
A source told Page Six on April 5 that Pete Davidson and Phoebe Dynevor are dating but are "not too serious" yet due to the long-distance nature of their relationship: He's shooting "Saturday Night Live" in New York City while she gears up for the second season of "Bridgerton" in the U.K. "Pete must like her if he's flying off to quaint little English villages to hang out with her on set," said the source. Echoed an Us Weekly source, "Pete and Phoebe are still going strong despite not being able to physically spend time together. They keep in touch over text and FaceTime. Right now, they're just focused on work. … They're not looking to rush things." The source went on to say that Pete is "hoping to visit her for her upcoming birthday" on April 17. In the meantime, they're "seeing where their relationship goes" and "trying to make long distance work." Added the insider, "They're happy with each other. He makes her laugh. Pete is a good guy and definitely a charmer. He's easy-going and fun to be around."
On April 6, "Entertainment Tonight" confirmed recent rumors that Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge are an item. "They have been friends for years and Elliot is also close with Sofia's brother, Miles," said a source. "It's very nice for Sofia to date someone who her family approves of and likes. … Sofia and Elliot are happy together and having fun."
In other Matt James news… Back in March — after "The Bachelor" producers mysteriously cut Heather Martin from the "Women Tell All" special — there were rumors that she'd quietly started seeing Matt following the disappointing conclusion of his season. (Heather unexpectedly showed up midway through season 25 to compete for his heart, but he quickly sent her packing.) Other "evidence" she and Matt were dating? They both visited San Clemente, California, at the same time in early March. On the April 5 episode of Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti's "Almost Famous" podcast, however, Heather made it clear that she's "not dating Matt." The blonde beauty, who previously competed for Colton Underwood's heart on season 23 of "The Bachelor," also said that she hasn't seen Matt since the show wrapped.
On April 1, Deux Moi reported that, according to an anonymous source, Luann de Lesseps' boyfriend, Garth Wakeford, was seeing another woman — a "college bombshell" and "Sag Harbor socialite" named Jacqueline — "on the side." The following day, however, the "Real Housewives of New York City" star told Page Six that the personal trainer can't be cheating on her … because they "stopped dating before the holidays." Added the reality star of her ex, "I only wish him well." As for his alleged side chick, Garth told the New York Post's gossip column, "We have no relationship. She came to my exercise class once. We follow each other on Instagram and that is it." Also on April 2, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Luann has already "moved on" from Garth. "She met a guy when she was on vacation recently in Tulum. She was spotted having fun with her new mystery man in Mexico, and she's completely smitten by him," said the source.
In other "Housewives" news… Us Weekly reported on April 5 that, as their marital issues continue airing on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga are still going strong. "At the end of the day, they're like Bonnie and Clyde — they're a package deal and have to be together to be for the show," said a source. "They do love each other immensely, but they're finally just sharing with viewers that they have issues they have to work through. … They're not a perfect couple." Continued the insider, "They got married when they were in their early 20s and it's obvious that they've both changed. He's certainly not thrilled about all of her 'extracurricular activities' and spending a lot of time working on her store Envy. He'd prefer her cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids. He takes the traditional approach when it comes to marriage and expects her to be the average housewife."
Multiple media outlets reported on April 6 that Larsa Pippen's controversial romance with Malik Beasley recently came to an end. According to a Page Six source, the duo spent Valentine's Day together and are "still in communication," though they're no longer a couple. Said an Us Weekly source, "Larsa decided to distance herself from the drama. He was going through a lot and the timing wasn't right. … Many people assumed [their relationship] was serious when in fact it was not." The professional basketball player has been duking it out with his estranged wife, model Montana Yao, in the press and in divorce court since he suddenly started seeing Larsa late last year.
On April 1, Deux Moi reported that, according to an anonymous source, The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart and DJ Chantel Jeffries "broke up a few weeks ago." Two days later, his rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly: "They broke up a month ago. It was an amicable breakup, and they remain friends," said the rep. The duo, who were first linked in early 2020, confirmed they were dating over the summer.
Did they finally take their relationship to the next level? Janelle Monae was snapped packing on the PDA with her longtime friend and Wondaland Arts Society collaborator Nate Wonder aboard a yacht off the coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on April 6. (See photos here.) That same day, the singer-actress gushed about her rumored beau on Instagram in honor of his birthday, calling him her "favorite planet" in the caption of a slideshow of photos of them together.
Dove Cameron's "LazyBaby" music video, which dropped on April 1, ends with the singer-actress passionately kissing singer-songwriter Alexander 23. The PDA sparked rumors the pair are an item — which they've yet to address. During an interview with Nylon that debuted online the following day, the "Descendants" franchise star implied that her late-2020 split from longtime love Thomas Doherty inspired the new track. "I went through a really bad breakup that was completely out of nowhere, so hard for my brain to even reconcile. I was not handling it well," she said, adding that although "LazyBaby" is "about the end of a relationship," she "didn't want it to be a breakup song" but rather "a breakthrough song." Dove went on to say that the track "is not a commentary" on her ex. She even played the song for him "and he loves it," she said. "We're good friends. We love each other forever. There's a lot in the song that is not actually directly about him," she noted. A few days later, she told "Access" that "LazyBaby" is "definitely a commentary on my breakup in some ways but it's also an amalgamation of a bunch of other people's breakups." She then said of Thomas, "We both care about each other so much still. We're still friends. I still love the living daylights out of him." She refused to publicly address what went wrong between them and promised to be more private about her love life moving forward … which doesn't really explain the Alexander 23 music video PDA, does it?! Thomas, meanwhile, was snapped packing on the PDA with Yasmin Wijnaldum in late March.
Is John Boyega dating "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star Maggie Carrie? The duo, who follow each other on social media, sparked romance rumors when they took to Instagram on March 29 to share photos of themselves vacationing in what appeared to be the same tropical location. (See what "Star Wars" actor's posted here and what the reality star's posted here.)
Rosalia and Playboi Carti sparked romance rumors when they stepped out together for dinner in Santa Monica, California, on April 1. Although they managed to avoid being photographed together, the duo left celeb hotspot Giorgio Baldi in the same car. In late 2020, Iggy Azalea accused the rapper of cheating on her throughout her pregnancy with their son, Onyx.
No April Fool's Day joke here! On April 1, "Sharknado" franchise actress Jena Sims announced on Instagram that she and professional golfer Brooks Koepka are engaged. "Forever is no joke," she captioned a slideshow of photos depicting the proposal. The athlete, meanwhile, indicated on his Instagram Story that he popped the question on March 3. The duo met in 2015 but didn't start dating until two years later.
"Counting On" star Jedidiah Duggar and Katey Nakatsu tied the knot in Arkansas on April 3 — just seven weeks after they got engaged on Valentine's Day. "For a long time I have prayed for my future spouse, not knowing who that person would be. God answered my prayers far beyond what I could have ever imagined in Katey! We have enjoyed quietly developing our relationship over the past year and every moment together has been amazing! I'm so grateful God brought Katey into my life and excited to share with you all that today she became my wife! Katey, the thought of sharing the rest of my life with you makes me the happiest man in the world! I love you so much!! #happilyeverafter," Jed captioned a wedding photo.
"Dance Moms" alum Kendall Vertes is dating TikTok star Caden Woodall. He made their relationship Instagram official on April 1, captioning a slideshow of photos including several shots of the dancer, "My pursuit of happiness." Two days later, Kendall captioned a slideshow of photos including a selfie with her beau, "Living in a dream."
In other "Dance Moms" alumna news… During an interview with People magazine that debuted online on April 7, JoJo Siwa revealed that she met her girlfriend, Kylie Prew, on a cruise ship. The twosome developed a friendship before things turned romantic in late 2020. "I told her my whole spiel that I tell everyone when they ask me my life story," JoJo recalled. "She goes, 'I could have Googled that. I want to know your life story. You just told me about your career. I want to know about you.' And I was like, 'No one's ever asked me that before.'" Their relationship inspired JoJo to come out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community in early 2021. "She never cares what the internet said about us," JoJo said of Kylie. "It's nice to have somebody in my life like that." She went on to label herself as pansexual, though she also joked that she's "Ky-sexual" because of her girlfriend. "My human is my human," she added.
Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, took to Instagram on March 31 to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. "In 10 years of marriage, we've been through so much Lu… The good things in life have been better with you, and you've helped lift me through some of the hardest times imaginable. You're my way better half, my hero and the light of my life. While there's a lot more I feel and so much more I want to say, I'll save that for you. I love you Kid. Happy Anniversary," the singer captioned an old photo with his missus. The mother of three, meanwhile, captioned a compilation video, "The love of my life, my partner, my best lover, my best friend. We were able to overcome together all the battles that were presented to us along the way with admirable strength, respect and so much deep love. I thank God because I know he wanted it that way!! For many more laughs, scooter nights, tips, songs, stories, nights, tickles, and the list goes on and on… I'll stop here and tell you the rest in private!!!! I love uuuuu!!"
On April 7, Us Weekly broke the news that Steve Howey and Sarah Shahi quietly finalized their divorce back on Jan. 29. The "Shameless" star and the "Person of Interest" alum will reportedly share joint legal and physical custody of their three children. Neither party will pay child support to the other, and they'll each hold on to their personal property, though he was ordered to fork over $305,000 in February to equalize their division of assets. Steve is walking away from the marriage with a $1.8 million home in the Los Angeles area, a Harley Davidson motorcycle and "100 percent of his residuals, pension plans, retirement plans and accounts," according to Us Weekly. The actress, meanwhile, is holding on to "50 percent interest in an L.A. property and 100 percent of her residuals and her retirement accounts." Sarah filed to legally end the marriage in May 2020.
Demi Lovato takes aim at her ex-fiancé, Max Ehrich, in her new song "15 Minutes," which dropped on April 2. In the track's official description on Apple Music, she said simply, "Crickets. Is that an answer?" Here's a sampling of some of the lyrics: "Changed your colors so fast / Tried to turn my friends into friends of the past / Always puttin' you first, could've been your future / But you didn't even care about me like that / 'Cause you were looking for 15 minutes, yeah / And now you got 15 minutes, yeah / Pack your stuff, you can come and get it, yeah / Ain't goodbye but it's good riddance."
