Joe Biden unfollows Chrissy Teigen on Twitter — and she is elated
Chrissy Teigen can "flourish" again on Twitter as her authentic self. That's thanks to President Joe Biden, who unfollowed the cookbook author and television personality, per her request, almost exactly one month after he included her in the first dozen Twitter accounts he followed via @POTUS on Inauguration Day. For Chrissy — who campaigned for Joe with her husband, John Legend — it sounds like the pressure was too much. "I have tweeted a handful of times since my treasured @POTUS following," she posted on Tuesday, Feb. 23, the implication being she'd muzzled herself since Jan. 20. "In order for me to flourish as me, I must ask you to please lord unfollow me. I love you!!! It's not you it's me!!!!" He did as she asked and her next tweet was largely unprintable, except for the end, which read, "… I am FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!" Chrissy had an infamously fraught relationship with Donald Trump on Twitter .. before he unfollowed her.

Halle Berry reveals her first kiss was with a girl
Long before she set her sights on her current beau, musician Van Hunt, a school-aged Halle Berry experienced her first kiss. As she told her pal, Lindsay Flores, in an episode of "Bad & Booshy" last week on Instagram, the smooch was a trial run, of sorts. "My first kiss was a girl," Halle, 54, shared in the clip. "I had this boyfriend named LaShawn Boyd and I wanted to French kiss him. But I didn't know how to French kiss, so I got my best girlfriend at the time to show me how to French kiss, so I could French kiss him," she dished over drinks with Lindsay. "So she came over to my house and kissed me for like 30 minutes," Halle continued. "Literally showed me how to French kiss a boy. And then the next night, I went and French kissed LaShawn Boyd." Naturally, Lindsay wanted to know whose kiss was better. Said Halle: "LaShawn Boyd." Halle started dropping hints last year that she had a new man in her life. She revealed who the lucky guy was with an Instagram post that included a photo of Halle wearing a Van Hunt T-shirt. "Now ya know," she teased in the caption. In September, People quoted a source as saying the couple's relationship "seems serious." Judging from photos she's shared since, that's still the case.

George Clooney jokes his new hobbies are doing laundry, dishes all day because his twins are 'slobs'
When he's not busy cutting his own hair with a Flowbee or sewing his wife, Amal Clooney, and their 3-year-old twins' clothing, George Clooney has apparently been giving the couple's son, Alexander, the occasional trim. That's where his barber skills stop, though. As the actor and producer recently told W, Amal's made it clear George better keep his shears (and hair vacuums) away from the locks of their daughter, Ella. "We haven't cut [my daughter's hair], it's down to here, it looks gorgeous," George explained. "I don't mess with her hair. I would get in trouble if I did. My wife would kill me." Asked if he's taken up any new hobbies during the coronavirus pandemic, George joked: "I'll tell you what I've taken on as a hobby — two or three loads of laundry a day." He added, "Dishes all f—— day because these kids are all slobs. Apparently you have to wash them every once in a while." The star recently announced plans to produce a docuseries about the sex abuse scandal at Ohio State University's athletic department, based on John Wertheim's 2020 feature for Sports Illustrated.
Drew Barrymore opens up about her time in a psychiatric ward at age 13
Drew Barrymore celebrated her 46th birthday on her eponymous show on Monday, Feb. 22, and was moved to tears by an adorable poem her daughters, Olive and Frankie wrote in honor of their mom. That same day, the former child star reflected on her relationship with her own mother, Jaid Barrymore, during an appearance on "The Howard Stern Show." Things between Drew and Jaid, now 74, were a little less rosy than they seem to be for Drew and her girls. But as Drew said on the show, "It's hard to grow up in front of people." That's just what Drew did after becoming famous for her role in 1980's "E.T.: the Extra-Terrestrial." Memorable performances in 1984's "Firestarter" and "Irreconcilable Differences" followed, as did Drew's discovery of drugs and alcohol, which she was hooked on by age 12. At 13, she told Howard, Drew was so "out of control" her mother sent her away to a psychiatric ward for a year and a half. "You couldn't mess around in there. If you did, you'd get thrown either in the padded room or get put in stretcher restraints and tied up," she recalled. After six or eight months, though, she said the treatment she was getting began to help. Looking back, she sees the experience as a positive, "because it cooled me out," she said. Now that she's a mom herself, Drew said she and Jaid have been able to repair aspects of their relationship — and Drew's forgiven her for the psych ward. "I think [my mom] created a monster and she didn't know what to do with the monster. This was her last gasp, and I really was out of control, and I forgive her for making this choice. She probably felt she had nowhere to turn," Drew explained. "I'm really glad there is healing there. I feel goodness toward my mom. I feel empathy and understanding." Today, she added, they have healthy "boundaries and distance," as well as "respect" for one another.
Why Spike Lee's determined to educate people about the COVID-19 vaccines
When it comes to the COVID-19 vaccine, Spike Lee is on a mission to educate. In a new interview with BET, the "5 Bloods" director — whose son and daughter, Jackson and Satchel Lee, are set to make history as the first Black siblings named Golden Globe Ambassadors — explains how the response to something he shared on Twitter inspired him to work towards ensuring fans really know the truth about the vaccines. "Recently I posted a picture of an African-American nurse who was selected to be one of the first people in this country to receive the vaccine," he recalls. Rather than celebrate the nurse's vaccination, Spike got negative feedback from the Black Twitter community. "This was the time where I felt, I had to educate people," he continues. "I know about the Tuskegee experiment. I know about the history of medicine where we are used as guinea pigs. I also know that this 'rona is wiping out Blacks and brown people in this country at a higher rate than anybody. I know that a large majority of first responders are Black and brown people," Spike says. "When it's time for me to take the vaccine, I will take it. I will videotape it, take a picture of it and get it out because I do believe that we need to take the vaccine to save us," he adds. "I am taking the vaccine to protect my wife, children, siblings, and co-workers. This is not a hoax."
Stars team up for new Global Citizen COVID-19 campaign
Celebs including Billie Eilish, Usher, the Jonas Brothers, Idris Elba and Miley Cyrus announced this week they're supporting a new campaign from Global Citizen to "end COVID-19 and kickstart a global recovery." The anti-poverty advocacy organization unveiled its "Recovery Plan for the World" on Tuesday, Feb. 23, along with some help from stars like Billie. "A year ago, I was three shows into my world tour when, because of COVID-19, we had to cancel everything for the safety of my fans and crew. And now a year later, the pandemic is still raging across the globe … and I'm still at home like most of you," the singer said in an appeal for fans to support Global Citizen's efforts (via People). "We must take action to get everyone access to COVID-19 vaccines as quickly as possible," she continued. "I want to ask ALL of my fans to join me and take action in support of this campaign. We need to call on government leaders, corporations and philanthropists to make commitments so the world can recover from the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic." In addition to working towards ending the spread of COVID-19, the Recovery Plan aims to, "curb the hunger crisis, resume learning everywhere, protect the planet [and] advance equity for all," according to the group's website. The first of two major fundraising events for the initiative is a "global broadcast" set for May, with a focus on ensuring equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines.
Shailene Woodley breaks her silence on Aaron Rodgers engagement
Following Aaron Rodgers' super-casual "I got engaged" comment at the NFL Honors ceremony earlier this month, the Green Bay Packers quarterback's fiancee, Shailene Woodley, has finally addressed the pair's exciting news. "Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while,'" the "Big Little Lies" star told Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" this week. "He's, first of all, a wonderful, incredible human being," she gushed. "But I never thought I'd be engaged to someone who throws balls for a living." She really wasn't kidding, either. Shailene, 29, has apparently never been to a football game. "But he's really so good at it," she said through laughter of the NFL's 2020 MVP. "When we met, I knew he was a football guy but I never knew what kind of a football guy he was … I am still constantly learning." Aaron, 37, has qualities his bride-to-be seems to find more appealing, anyway. "Because I don't know him as the football guy!" she explained, after telling Jimmy they first met during the pandemic. "I know him as like, the nerd who wants to host 'Jeopardy!' That's the guy I know. He just happens to also be very good at sports." Aaron — who will, in fact, appear as a guest host on "Jeopardy!" — also quickly won over someone very close to Shailene's heart. "When I first met him … my dog pulled me aside and was like, 'If you don't date this dude, I will disown you as my mother because the three feet I run with you when you throw a ball is nothing compared to the marathon I'm able to run with him,'" she quipped.
Tiger Woods undergoes surgery for 'multiple leg injuries' as celebrities send support following car crash
Tiger Woods was hospitalized and in "moderate to critical condition" on Tuesday, Feb. 23, after being removed from the scene of a single-car accident in Los Angeles via the "jaws of life," according to multiple news outlets. As new details about the golf star's injuries emerged, Tiger's famous friends and fans sent love and support his way on social media. "Praying for TW right now," posted four-time World Cup alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn, who dated Tiger between 2013 and 2015. The accident reportedly took place in Los Angeles. As of 1 p.m. PT, Tiger, 45, was in surgery, having suffered "multiple leg injuries," his agent told CNN.
Cardi B opens up to Mariah Carey about her lifelong shyness, getting cosmetic surgery after being bullied and more
In a world filled with people ready to deny the nips, tucks and implants they've had, Cardi B is unapologetic about the cosmetic surgery she got when she'd made enough money to afford it after years of being bullied over her looks. Ultimately, she says the tweaks helped her move past the insecurities she developed as a child. Speaking to Mariah Carey for Interview magazine's new issue, Cardi described the taunting she was subjected to by boys in her neighborhood growing up. "And it would make me feel so ugly and undeveloped," she recalled. Asked if she feels vindicated having become so successful she can afford to make her body whatever she wants it to be, she says, "I feel so vindicated," explaining that once she "had enough money" to augment her chest after working in a strip club, all her insecurities about that part of her body "were gone." She was bullied for other things, too, she recalls, including her hair. But as time went on and she faced "trouble at home," and "got kicked out," she says she became focused on making "enough money to rent a room," even though she knew her parents would be upset if they knew how she was supporting herself. "When I first entered the strip club, I was really shy. I felt really uncomfortable. I felt very ashamed," she says. "There were times when I was crying, like, 'Oh my gosh, if my mom or my dad found out, they'd be so humiliated.'" Today, Cardi admits she still battles shyness, especially around other celebs, including Mariah. "A lot of celebrities invite me to places, but I'm really shy. We're doing this over the phone, but if it was in person, I wouldn't be able to look you in the eyes. That's how nervous I get around celebrities," the rapper says. She also has trouble reconciling the difference between rules about loyalty when she was a kid and the way the entertainment business works when it comes to friendship and trust. "You've got to understand that your business friends are not going to treat you like your real friends," she explains. "It's hard for me to put that in my head because growing up, loyalty was really big. But celebrities aren't like that, and that's something that you have to find out on your own."
Clive Davis diagnosed with Bell's Palsy
Music industry icon Clive Davis has been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, his rep confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday, Feb. 23. As a result, he plans to reschedule the second of two virtual Grammy Awards galas he has in the works, in lieu of his usual in-person party, which was canceled because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. "He is being treated with antibiotics and steroids and is expected to recover within six to eight weeks," spokesperson Sean Cassidy told the outlet. "He is in good spirits and looks forward to doing the second half of his pre-Grammy gala in May." Though the condition causes paralysis of the face, Clive, 88, is reportedly still able to speak.
