It's customary to leave between a 15 percent and 20 percent kickback on the bill for servers, but not everyone chooses to stay within those margins, especially when it comes to Hollywood's elite. Wonderwall.com breaks down the different types of celebrity tippers — from the super-generous to the downright insulting — starting with soccer star David Beckham. He earned good-tipper status when he reportedly shelled out $900 on a $100 tab at Joxer Daily's Pub in Culver City, California, after a night out with his LA Galaxy teammates. Britney Spears: Nonexistent tipper

Britney Spears really isn't that innocent. According to E! Online, the "Oops I Did it Again" singer once stiffed her server all together and walked right out after a meal at Los Angeles restaurant One Sunset. At least the pop star paid her $250 bill!

Johnny Depp: Good tipper

According to the higher-end 20 percent norm, Johnny Depp would have been golden if he'd left about $880 on a $4,400 check. But he decided to go way above the call of common courtesy by once leaving his Gibsons Steakhouse waiter, Mohammaed Sekhani, a whopping $4,000. That's close to a 100 percent tip! "Because he had visited us before he calls me 'Mo' and I know exactly the way he likes to be treated," the server told Radar Online. "He may be one of the most famous actors in the world but he is a very humble guy and a really cool dude." At the time, Johnny was in Chicago for the "Public Enemies" premiere and brought along his co-star Marion Cotillard.

Donnie Wahlberg: Good tipper

After a show in Maryland in June 2017, Donnie Wahlberg headed to a Waffle House for some early morning grub. After he was presented with a $62.75 bill, he left a $500 tip. Not a bad shift for the three employees who were there. That wasn't Donnie's only time pulling off a similar feat. In July 2017, he left a $2,000 tip on a $82.60 bill at, where else, Waffle House.

Kirsten Dunst: Nonexistent tipper

Kristen Dunst was called out on her nonexistent tipping status by Eliza Pharrell, an assistant manager at an exclusive New York City eatery. She told Fox News that the "Spider-Man" actress didn't even bother to leave the "smallest gratuity" on her $233 bill. Rude.

Usher: Bad tipper

Usher isn't into monetary compensation for his waiters. Instead, he allegedly leaves his autograph for a tip. Can't you just imagine him humming "Let it Burn" as he walks away from the table?! According to Business Insider, one waiter claimed that the music star even tries to get other people to pick up the bill completely. As if eight successful studio albums haven't earned him enough cash for a couple of fancy dinners! So Usher's real "Confessions" are that he's cheap?

Drew Barrymore: Good tipper

Here's yet another reason to love Drew Barrymore even more — she's the sweetest tipper. Just take it from fellow actress Ana Ortiz, who used to be a bartender in New York City before hitting it big on hit shows like "Ugly Betty." She claims that Drew gave her a 100 percent tip not once but twice.

Jeremy Piven: Bad tipper

After eight seasons, it makes sense that Jeremy Piven could sometimes act a lot like his pompous "Entourage" character Ari Gold in real life. But that's still not a great excuse for being a bad tipper. A decade ago, he was reportedly banned from the upscale sushi restaurant Nobu in Aspen after tipping his waiter with a signed DVD from the first season of the HBO show. To make matters worse, he had come in with a party of 12 friends and hadn't even bother to make a reservation. According to Business Insider, a perturbed employee apparently chucked the DVD at the actor, who mumbled "thanks for nothing" on his way out.

Jessica Simpson: Good tipper

Jessica Simpson must have really enjoyed her meal when she once dined at New York City's Lavo because she left her server a $300 tip on a $500 tab — that's 60 percent! On top of the generous gratuity, the singer-turned-fashion mogul included a sweet note for her waiter. "You were amazing and make this world a better place. Love, Jess," the kind message read. According to People, Jess had munched on veal parmigiana and fried Oreos and washed it all down with Macallan scotch. How could she not have been pleased?

Tiger Woods: Nonexistent tipper

Tiger Woods has built a half-billion-dollar empire on his golfing career, but he can't even bother to shell out a couple of bucks for a tip. According to the New York Post, he put a former lady friend in a super-awkward position by refusing to leave any gratuity while they were hanging out in Las Vegas. She allegedly had to leave all of the tips herself wherever they went. Granted, there are claims that he never carries any cash with him, but isn't that what credit cards are for?

Bill Murray: Good tipper

According to one bartender's story via Thrillist, Bill Murray not only gave the guy a 120 percent tip on a $60 tab, but he then actually got behind the bar to give him some tips for juicing lemons. The "Groundhog Day" actor allegedly advised him to roll the lemons around before slicing them for prime juicing. And Bill's tipping tales get even better: Chau Le, a waitress at a Philadelphia restaurant, revealed that Bill tipped her well and asked if she wanted anything from the army-navy store where he was headed after his meal. Within the hour, the camouflage pants she asked for were delivered to the eatery.

Madonna: Bad tipper

There is more than one account of Madonna's horrible tipping habits. Way back when she was still married to Guy Ritchie, the pair reportedly left a 4.5 percent tip for a waiter at a London restaurant — a measly $18 for a $400 meal, which is well under London's 10 to 15 percent gratuity standard. Thrillist recounts another instance where the Material Girl walked out of New York City restaurant Babbo having left her server diddly-squat.

Charlize Theron: Good tipper

Charlize Theron won her good-tipper crown when she gave a Pinkberry employee a $100 bill to cover her $3.75 order. According to People, she forgot to bring cash to pay for her sweet treat, so she came back later with the funds and added in the extra $96.25 for good measure. How considerate!

Sean Penn: Nonexistent tipper

Sean Penn seems to be just as bad at tipping as his ex Madonna. The actor left his waiter feeling scorned after he reportedly failed to leave even a dime in gratuity on a $450 check he rang up at a New Orleans restaurant. The server called him a "cheapskate" when recounting the incident to Bitter Waitress.

Charlie Sheen: Good tipper

Charlie Sheen might have a bad reputation thanks to all of his public meltdowns, arrests, stints in rehab and scandalous baby mama drama. But he's actually a decent tipper. He reportedly doled out 200 buckaroos to every member of the staff who worked his daughter Cassandra Jade Estevez's sweet sixteen bash.

Rachael Ray: Bad tipper

Rachael Ray has no shame in her short-change tipping game. In fact, she proudly boasts about leaving 10 percent gratuities as a budgeting tip on her Food Network show "$40 a Day." It's one thing to be a bad tipper yourself, but don't go spreading the bad-bill mojo to everyone else!

Russell Crowe: Good tipper

While visiting a pub in Britain's South Wales, Russell Crowe left a £600 tip on a pint of beer, which currently converts to around $750. But he didn't stop there! The "Gladiator" actor also grabbed a guitar and decided to perform for the bar too.

Bill Cosby: Bad tipper

When Bill Cosby isn't busy fighting sexual assault charges in court these days, he's apparently out there leaving bad tips. A server told Bitter Waitress that the star of "The Cosby Show" star once left behind a miserable 0.08 percent gratuity — 3 bucks on a $375 bill. In another tips-gone-wrong scenario, he allegedly forked over six big bags to a hotel bellhop along with a 50-cent thank you.

Drew Carey: Good tipper

Drew Carey is used to giving out huge cash prizes as the host of "The Price is Right," and the generosity seems to have seeped into his everyday life as well. After eating his way to a $250 bill at Arnie Morton Steakhouse in Los Angeles, he left the server $400 –that's a 160 percent gratuity in case you were wondering. According to the New York Post, Drew was also spotted handing the bartender a $100 tip for every beer he ordered at a CBS party at STK in New York City.

Barbra Streisand: Bad tipper

Say it isn't so! Babs is a no-go… when it comes to tipping! We bet waiters don't think it's all that funny when "Funny Girl" actress Barbra Streisand skimps on gratuity. According to The Frisky, she once left just $10 on a $450 bill. A 2.2 percent tip is downright insulting! She's also apparently built a reputation amongst waiters for being demanding.
