Free at last! On Nov. 12, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny officially terminated the conservatorship that controlled Britney Spears' life for nearly 14 years. The pop star can now manage her life as she sees fit. "Good God I love my fans so much it's crazy!!! I think I'm gonna cry the rest of the day!!!!" the pop star tweeted afterward. "Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen ????" She added the hashtag "freed Britney." This now marks the first time since 2008 that Britney will be able to control her personal and business decisions. Hordes of fans who championed the Free Britney movement gathered outside the courthouse as the monumental hearing was taking place. The ruling came a few hours after Britney and her fiancé, Sam Asghari, donned Free Britney T-shirts. "What's next for Britney, and this is the first time this could be said for about a decade, is up to one person: Britney," her lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, said after the hearing. Following the ruling, many celebrities took to social media to publicly celebrate Brit's newfound freedom.
