Gwyneth Paltrow teases Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, more celebs in hilarious 'etiquette' video
When it comes to the holidays, Gwyneth Paltrow is definitely going for naughty over nice. The Goop maven unveiled a hilarious new video this week titled "Gwyneth's Guide to Holiday Etiquette," in which she offers party hosting tips ("Goop Glow powder makes a great cocktail mixer, just add a splash of vodka," says a voiceover as Gwyneth dumps the whole bottle in), marvels at the familiar fragrance of her infamous, personal body part-scented candle and sneaks a furtive bite of a croissant from behind a kitchen counter ("Go a bit mad, eat some bread!" says the voiceover, "Just don't let the paparazzi catch you!") Finally, Gwyneth lines up gift bags for her famous friends on a mantle, then drops … shall we say, "adult-themed" Goop goodies inside each one. While Kim Kardashian West and her new guy, Pete Davidson, get a wolverine claw like the one utilized by a couple on her recent Netflix series, "Sex, Love & Goop," Adele — who recently went public with her post-divorce romance with sports agent Rich Paul — gets a supplement that supports "healthy desire" in the name of "pursuing more pleasure, more often." Taylor Swift has a gift bag on the mantle, too, and while Gwyneth pauses in front of it with a red scarf — an infamous detail from her song, "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" — the actress opts to stick with her sexy gift theme, drops a decidedly less tame toy in Taylor's bag, then saunters off, Jake Gyllenhaal-style, having kept the cozy accessory herself.

Josh Duggar's family members react to guilty verdict
Former TLC Josh Duggar was found guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography on Dec. 9, after a 7-day trial in Arkansas. Over the course of the proceedings, a number of family members of the "19 Kids and Counting" alum were spotted in the courtroom, including Josh's wife, Anna, his father, Jim Bob, and siblings Jill, Justin, Jessa and Joy-Anna — some of whom have already commented publicly on the trial and verdict. Speaking to People, Josh's brother-in-law and Jill's husband, Derick Dillard, explained: "We just wanted to, among other things, see the facts for ourselves." (He and Jill later posted a lengthy statement on their family website thanking law enforcement and pledging to support Josh's wife, Anna, who's now raising seven kids alone.) Jim Bob and wife Michelle Duggar's niece, Amy, tweeted out her support for the verdict after it came down, writing, "May the juror's and Judge Brooks seek healing / counseling from all that was exposed to them. May the children grow up with real Godly men as father figures who will guide and protect them. May the people who were once in disbelief have their eyes opened for the first time." Josh's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, posted a statement about the "grievous" ordeal on their website, vowing they "will never stop praying for Joshua," who faces up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines on each of the two counts. He's expected to be sentenced early next year.

Britney Spears regains power to control her own finances
Britney Spears just marked another milestone in her post-conservatorship path to freedom. On Dec. 8, Judge Brenda Penny restored the 40-year-old singer's power to execute her own estate documents, something she has not been allowed to do herself for the 13-plus years since her father, Jamie Spears, set up her conservatorship. That arrangement was terminated Nov. 12. Now, Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, told Variety outside the Los Angeles courthouse, "she has the power to do whatever she wants to do." In November, accountant John Zabel was given some "administrative powers" regarding Britney's estate trust, according to Variety, This week, the judge also ruled that John's limited role should formally end on Jan. 19, the date of the next scheduled hearing. Britney's dad was reportedly on hand, via phone, for the hearing, while his lawyer attended in person. Per Insider's reporting, Jamie's lawyer requested to see "an unredacted version" of the proposed estate plan for Britney's finances. "Nobody besides John Zabel, Britney Spears, and the court should be able to see the estate plan," John's lawyer argued, noting that "In a normal situation, a normal person would never have to show their estate plan" to family. Proposals for the estate plans, along with Britney's parents' requests that her estate cover various fees they've incurred, are slated to be discussed in court in January. As of Dec. 8, Mathew's investigation into Jamie's alleged "abuses" of power over his daughter and her money was ongoing, as Jamie has reportedly failed to appear for two depositions and counting.

Olivia Wilde is 'happier' than she's 'ever been' amid Harry Styles romance
It's been nearly a year since Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles wrapped shooting "Don't Worry Darling," which reportedly brought them together, off-screen, after Olivia cast Harry as one of its stars. Since then, we've seen a steady stream of photos of the two looking very much in love and heard whispers about private matters like the timeline of their romance or their 10-year age difference. Despite all that, they've managed to avoid commenting publicly on their relationship. Given a chance to do so in Vogue's January 2022 cover story, Olivia, 37, explains that being as "happy" as she is right now is enough. "It's obviously really tempting to correct a false narrative," she tells Vogue when asked if she'd like to address what the magazine calls "the furor" of speculation about the couple. "But I think what you realize is that when you're really happy, it doesn't matter what strangers think about you. All that matters to you is what's real, and what you love and who you love. … In the past 10 years, as a society, we have placed so much more value on the opinion of strangers rather than the people closest to us." Olivia adds: "I'm happier than I've ever been. And I'm healthier than I've ever been, and it's just wonderful to feel that." The psychological thriller, "Don't Worry Darling," Olivia's second major directorial outing, hits theaters in September 2022.

'Sex and the City' stylist Patricia Field 'would love' to work with Kim Cattrall again
Kim Cattrall made it clear she wanted no part of the "Sex and the City" reboot, "And Just Like That …," but at least one of her former "SATC" associates is all for the idea of a Samantha Jones spinoff. Fans started clamoring for a Samantha-focused spinoff long before "And Just Like That …" debuted on HBO Max on Dec. 9. Page Six recently checked in with famed designer Patricia Field — known for the bright, outre designs she brought to "SATC" throughout its six seasons — for her take on the Samantha spinoff idea. "I would love to do a show with her," Patricia gushed. Still, her love for Kim doesn't mean she harbors ill will towards Kim's nemesis, Sarah Jessica Parker. "She knew my vibe. She understood the tutu," Patricia explained. "She was great to work with because she loved fashion … [We were] two peas in a pod."
Travis Scott says he's on 'an emotional roller coster' after Astroworld tragedy
Travis Scott says he's still "trying to wrap my head around" what happened at last month's Astroworld Festival in Houston, where a crowd surge left 10 people dead and hundreds injured. In a nearly hour-long conversation with Charlamagne Tha God that was published on YouTube on Dec. 9, Travis, who continued performing through the end of his set time as chaos broke out, said that between the concert lights and pyrotechnics, his monitor and mic, his band and all the people, he couldn't necessarily tell what was happening in the crowd. When he did see signs of potential danger unfold, he said, "I stopped it a couple times to just make sure everybody was OK." Said Travis, "You can only help what you can see… Whenever somebody tell you to stop, you just stop." Since the festival, the Houston native said he's been enduring an "emotional roller coaster," telling the radio host, "It gets so hard, because I always feel connected with my fans… It really hurts. It hurts the community, it hurts the city." As he faces at least 140 lawsuits (per CNN), Travis says, "You wish you could kind of just hold everyone, kind of just heal them, talk to them, have conversations. It really just hurts, man," he said. "You do these shows, honestly, for people to have the best experience. Just to think that something like this happened, you're just trying to figure out … the bottom solution of what's going on, and just try to ensure people's safety."
Lady Gaga to receive second pre-Oscars award for 'House of Gucci'
With just two months left to go before the 2022 Oscar nominees are announced, critics are coming out in force for Lady Gaga's turn as the scorned (and murderous) Patrizia Reggiani in "House of Gucci." EW reports Lady G's set to be honored with the Icon Award at the upcoming Palm Springs International Film Festival. Previous winners of the same award have included Meryl Streep, Robert Duvall and Glenn Close. Combined with Gaga's Best Actress win at last week's New York Film Critics Circle awards, EW suggests the singer-turned-actor could be poised to snag Oscar gold on March 27. Oscar nominations are set to be announced Feb. 8.
Ben Affleck's movie with ex, Ana de Armas may not see the light of day
We may never get to see the sparks fly onscreen between Ben Affleck and his now ex-girlfriend, Ana de Armas. The former couple met on the set of "Deep Water," which suffered release delays due to COVID-19 and more before landing a Jan. 14, 2022, release date. Now, the film's been yanked entirely from Disney's 20th Century Studios' theatrical release roster, according to People. The film stars Ben and Ana as a couple who forge ahead with their broken marriage only because they've agreed she can stray, as long as she stays married. Soon, though, the husband can't take the jealousy and the boyfriends begin to die off. "Their physical chemistry was so intense on set. It's all anyone could talk about," one industry insider told People around the time Ben and Ana were dating in real life. "They had great chemistry right from the start," said another source. "Ben always seemed very relaxed and happy around Ana, but at the time there were no signs of romance. He was very focused on making a fantastic movie." No word yet on whether "Deep Water" will be released at some point in the future.
