Tom Delonge feels vindicated. Back in 2015, the guitarist quit blink-182 to investigate and research aliens. At the time, many thought the rocker had, well, fallen off his rocker, particularly given his band's popularity. On July 26, three former military officials told Congress that the government knows much more about UFOs than it's telling the public. In fact, one official said, the government is in possession of "nonhuman" biological matter. He added that he is "absolutely" certain that the federal government is in possession of UFOs.
After the hearing, Tom shared a message on Instagram that read "Tom Was Right." "The UFO Hearings today made history. I am so proud of the three witnesses today that blew the lid off the UFO secrecy that has been intact for decades," Tom wrote. The officials-turned-alien whistleblowers are "heroes," Tom added.
David Fravor, a retired U.S. Navy commander, even mentioned Tom and his research company, To The Stars, in the hearing. "[To The Stars] was this organization that pressed the issue with leading industry experts and USG officials, worked with Leslie Keane, Ralph Blumenthal and Helene Cooper to publish the articles in The New York Times in December 2017 admitting the USG was looking at UAPs and removed the stigma of the UFO topic, which led to us being here today," the military commander told elected officials. "Those articles opened a door for the government and the public that cannot be closed. It has led to an interest from our elected officials who are not focused on 'little green men' but on figuring out what these craft are, where are they from, the technology they possess, and how do they operate."

Notes on a scandal
Joe Rogan believes there's a bit of hypocrisy regarding the controversy surrounding Jason Aldean's "Try That in a Small Town" music video and song. Some have labeled the song racist and claimed that the video has a pro-lynching message. The popular podcaster believes other genres of music have gotten away with "wild" messages for years without anyone batting an eye. "I'm not saying ['Small Town'] is the greatest song the world has ever known, but the level of outrage coming from people that are upset about that song is so strange when there are hundreds of rap songs out there that are infinitely worse," he said. The former "Fear Factor" host noted that some of those questionable rap song are still "enjoyable."
"There's wild rock songs, there's a lot of wild s***," he added. Joe also said he feels the song doesn't have any kind of racial element: "There's nothing racial about the lyrics," he said, seemingly ignoring the imagery in the song's corresponding music video.

Dog dilemma
It's seemed so far that Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello's split is quite amicable, but there's a chance that a four-legged member of their family could complicate things and turn them ugly: "They still have a few issues to figure out, like custody of their dog, Bubbles," a source told Us Weekly in a July 27 report, adding that "Sofia hopes they can move forward in a calm, fair fashion."
Amid rampant speculation about the state of their union, the superstars announced in early July that they were throwing in the towel. Friends said the two simply lived different lives. There was also speculation that Joe's sobriety was an issue for them. "She would rather go out with friends and he would rather stay home, so they wouldn't spend a lot of time together. They've been living separate lives for about a year now, so it was time to call things off," a source told Us.
No love lost
Ariana Madix is still holding a grudge against her ex, Tom Sandoval: She's reportedly refusing to shoot new "Vanderpump Rules" scenes with him. "She's just not interested in talking [to Toom]," TMZ reported, adding that the former couple hasn't shared a scene together since they started shooting season 11 in late June. After nine years together, Tom notoriously cheated on Ariana with co-star Rachel Leviss. They called it quits after the affair came to light earlier this year. The new TMZ report claims Tom and Ariana are communicating through other people, but they haven't spoken since they shot the "Vanderpump Rules" season 10 reunion special in the spring. They were reportedly in the same building in mid-July but steered clear of each other.
'Days' of disgust
For nine weeks, investigators looked into on-set misconduct allegations against longtime "Days of our Lives" director and co-executive producer Albert Alarron. Lisa Rinna, who starred on the soap opera between 1992 and 1995, understands why: She claims to have seen inappropriate behavior running rampant from executives on the show. "Well, this took a long time… the last time I went over there and did that week on Peacock I couldn't believe the work environment," Lisa said in a now-expired Instagram Story, according to Entertainment Weekly.
In 2021, Lisa returned to the role of Billie Reed on Peacock's "Day of Our Lives: Beyond Salem." Of the set, Lisa said, "It was disgusting, I was shocked. I let many people know, Albert included, and they didn't do a thing until now, it seems." She added, "I was afraid for the young actors who had to continue to work there. I went to the producer, I even spoke with Sony HR. I wonder where the union is in this and how was this left unchecked?" Deadline reported that the investigation into Albert has wrapped. "After a two-month investigation, the independent investigator produced a report with its findings. Based on those findings, Corday Productions has taken a series of actions designed to ensure a safe and respectful work environment," a vague statement said.
Supportive owner
Ryan Reynolds is showing his support for one of Wrexham AFC's star players following a devastating injury. While participating in a preseason match against Manchester United, Paul Mullin punctured a lung while attempting to score. Mullin, who was often featured on FX's "Welcome To Wrexham," needed an oxygen tank to leave the field. "Paul Mullin puts his last drop of blood into everything he does. The entire @Wrexham_AFC community is pulling for a speedy recovery," Ryan tweeted. The "Deadpool" actor co-owns the Wales-based team with "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" star Rob McElhenney. In a separate message, Ryan questioned whether the somewhat meaningless game was worth it: "Massive thanks to @manchesterunited for the incredible opportunity to play against a legendary Premier league side," Ryan said. "But Jesus…. not worth losing Paul Mullin. … Brutal. @wrexham_afc."
