Bill Burr had a tiff with Howie Mandel after the podcast host invited Burr's alleged half-brother Billy Corgan on during an episode of "Howie Mandel Does Stuff."
Burr and Corgan share striking similarities, but the stand-up comedian wasn't ready to discuss his familial dynamic publicly.

Burr quickly lost his cool once the Smashing Pumpkins guitarist walked into his interview.
"You're an a——," Burr told Mandel.
Corgan was shocked, as he believed Mandel informed Burr of his scheduled arrival.
"He told me you were cool with me coming," Corgan explained. "I thought it would be a good surprise."

Before Corgan could make himself comfortable, Burr was initially hopeful that Mandel wouldn't air their interaction.
"Can this be edited out?" Burr asked.
"All right, f— it, I'll do it," Burr said before asking the artist, "Did you ever think the fact that I never told that story … that maybe you shouldn't?"

Last year, Corgan spoke with Mandel about his dad, William, having another child, alluded to Burr being his long-lost sibling.
Corgan's stepmother told him that Burr "might be one of the children that your father sired in his days being a traveling musician."

Burr revealed that Corgan's confession brought attention to his paternity.
"You know how many emails and c— I got?" Burr said of the revelation.
Even though Burr didn't want his personal life discussed on the audio program, he celebrated Corgan's success in the music industry.
"Listen, you've done well for yourself, I'm happy for you, but I just would prefer if you just kinda didn't go around telling these f—— stories." the Old Dads Star noted. "Like, why did you feel the need to do that?"
While defending his actions, the wrestling promoter shared that the Deal or No Deal host thought discussing their complex history would do well on his podcast.
"The first thing he said to me was, 'Here comes Bill Burr.' And I go, 'Do you know that story somehow?' And he said, 'What story?' And so I told him privately that story and he said, 'Oh you've got to say this on the air,'" Corgan said in reference to Mandel.
"He's bringing you in here, not because he's trying to heal the bulls— that we went through growing up," Burr told Corgan. "What was supposed to happen? Are we going to go play catch? We're both in our 50s."
Burr later slammed his rumored father.
"He was a piece of s—. He had two kids this close together, and he gave them the same f—— name? He thinks it's different because he's Billy and I'm Bill. That's how he told the difference," Burr stated.
"It's not that I don't like him, it reminds me of all of that s—," he added.
