Bella Hadid proves she didn't skip Met Gala because of vax status
Twitter users who suggested Bella Hadid skipped September's New York Fashion Week and the 2021 Met Gala on Sept. 13 because she hasn't been vaccinated against COVID-19 got clarification on the supermodel's vaccine status from Bella herself on Sept. 15. (The annual benefit had strict requirements, in keeping with New York City's current COVID-19 safety rules for indoor events, that guests be vaxxed and masked to attend.) In an Instagram Story post captured by People magazine, a sweatshirt- and leggings-clad Bella can be seen getting the jab on Aug. 6, according to the date on the pic, which she captioned "for anyone concerned." Her post came after rapper Nicki Minaj made headlines for skipping the Met Gala and sharing vaccine misinformation on Twitter, where she shared that she hasn't yet been vaccinated because she wants to do more research on the shots. Nicki also revealed that she recently contracted COVID-19 shooting a video.

Beyonce and JAY-Z enjoy a jet ski date on their $4M-a-week superyacht vacay
Proving they're as "Crazy In Love" as ever, Beyonce and husband JAY-Z were spotted zooming around together on a Jet Ski off the coast of Antibes, France, this week during a European family vacation aboard what's rumored to be Jeff Bezos's insanely expensive superyacht. The power couple was all smiles as Jay took the helm of the speedy water toy while Bey sat back and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery on their mini-date on Sept. 14. Bey, who recently celebrated her 40th birthday, and Jay, 51, have been hosting loved ones including Kelly Rowland and her family, plus Bey's mom, Tina Knowles Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson, on the Flying Fox — a 450-foot-long, 67-foot-wide Lürssen superyacht some say is the world's most expensive yacht for charter. And by "expensive," we're talking $4 million a week to rent the massive boat, which features not one but two helipads, plus a huge and apparently unique swimming pool, along with sun decks, terraces and platforms galore, according to Forbes. The Flying Fox also comes with what RobbReport.com describes as a "sea lobby," or spa, complete with heated limestone floors, a sauna, a hammam, a jacuzzi and a relaxation room … not a bad alternative to this year's Met Gala.
Kendall Jenner 'wasn't shocked' about Kylie's baby news
Kylie Jenner's fans weren't the only ones predicting a second pregnancy announcement from the Kylie Cosmetics founder before she confirmed baby No. 2 was on the way. As Kendall Jenner told Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" this week, she figured it wouldn't be long before her sister and her on/off boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, welcomed a sibling for their 3-year-old daughter, Stormi. "She called me, and I answered the phone and she just had her little sonogram — a picture of her sonogram," Kendall recalled on the show. "I wasn't really shocked because I felt like it could happen someday soon, but I was excited," she continued. "It was very exciting. It's just a blessing." The 25-year-old model also revealed her boyfriend, NBA player Devin Booker, has "an amazing relationship" with her niece. "[Stormi] has the biggest crush on him, and I'm, like, jealous sometimes," Kendall said playfully. "I'm like, 'Stop.' I'm like, 'Can you guys not?'" Kylie and Travis confirmed they were expecting their second child together on social media on Sept. 7, weeks after multiple outlets reported the news.

Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan's Time 100 cover slammed as 'airbrushed,' 'creepy'
Prince Harry rang in his 37th birthday on Sept. 15, and while he was sent plenty of loving birthday wishes from the royal family, other social media users seemed more focused on his new Time 100 cover with Duchess Meghan. "Creepy," "CGI" and "airbrushed" were just some of the words used to describe the photo of the couple, who appear to have been highly edited in the snap. "The airbrush is doing some heavy lifting there," wrote one critic (via Page Six). "Is Harry wearing a rug? Or just overdone the air brushing?" asked another. "I thought this was a parody account with a clearly photoshopped creepy cover," said a third who blamed the magazine for having "fallen hard." The way the two are standing in the pic also confused viewers, one of whom tweeted, "Who approved this shot?! Is he standing? Is he sitting? Is he holding on to her shoulder so he doesn't fall? Why would you make such lovely looking people look like this?" Dubbed "icons" of 2021 by the publication, Harry and Meghan's tribute inside sees chef and nonprofit founder José Andrés describing the couple as having "compassion for the people they don't know" and "[taking] risks to help communities in need," by "offering mental health support to Black women and girls in the U.S., and feeding those affected by natural disasters in India and the Caribbean."

Angelina Jolie meets with White House officials, Capitol Hill staff
Angelina Jolie was back in activist mode on Sept. 15 as she met with White House officials in Washington, D.C., as part of her push for the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. According to CNN, the actress, mother and United Nations Special Envoy also spoke in the White House press room during the second day of her visit to the nation's capital. "It's a health crisis, what is happening," she said. "And it's going to be solved if we look at it as health and families and invest. … And there is the harm within the families, especially for the children and getting the care early, and the prevention." Angelina also told reporters she had "good, bipartisan meetings" on Capitol Hill. CNN reports the bill, which passed in the House but has yet to be voted on in the Senate, would help earmark funding to "prevent and combat sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking and deliver assistance to victims."
Caitlyn Jenner, more celebs react to Gavin Newsom's recall election win
Californians voted to keep Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in office on Sept. 14 in a recall election that many Republicans hoped might pass the seat over to conservative talk radio host Larry Elder. Caitlyn Jenner, who announced her candidacy for governor in April, told reporters it was a "shame" Gavin would keep his seat. "I can't believe that this many people actually voted to keep him in office," she said, according to People. The outlet reported Caitlyn earned 1.1 percent — or about 55,000 votes — while the incumbent notched 5.8 million, making him the clear winner. But Caitlyn wasn't the only star who sounded off on election the results as returns came in. Alyssa Milano tweeted that she was pleased to see Gavin stay in office, posting, "Congrats to Governor Gavin Newsom and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom on their HUGE election win. THIS is the 'radical change' we need: keeping unqualified Trump clones out of office, no matter who supports them." Maria Shriver — whose then-husband Arnold Schwarzenegger became governor of California in 2003 after a recall election ousted Democrat Gray Davis — urged voters to unite and look to the future, posting, "Congratulations to Governor @GavinNewsom and First Partner Newsom. Glad this is behind California. Now let's move forward together." Other celebs, meanwhile, voiced concern about the state holding recall elections at all, with Questlove pointing to "all the tax money wasted on this farce of a recall" and asking, "this gonna keep happening and happening?" Added Elijah Wood: "Oh, and now can we just put this 'recall' notion to bed forever?"
Allison Mack reports to prison early following Nxivm sex cult conviction
"Smallville" actress turned sex cult "slave master" Allison Mack has reported to federal prison two weeks ahead of schedule to begin serving a three-year sentence for her role in Keith Raniere's Nxivm, People reported on Sept. 15. According to online documents viewed by the outlet, the former TV star — who allegedly branded some members of the cult and blackmailed them into having sex with its leader, among other "duties" — was in custody by the beginning of the week, despite plans to arrive at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, Calif., on Sept. 29. Allison, 39, faced a maximum of more than 17 years for her crimes; because she helped investigators dismantle the cult — and possibly because of her statements of remorse and regret, her sentence was drastically reduced. She's slated to do her time at the same institution where Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were incarcerated following their convictions in the college admissions scandal. Allison is one of six leaders involved with Nxivm who were accused of sex trafficking, forced labor, racketeering, wire fraud and more.
Conor McGregor invites Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox to his next fight after VMAs dustup
Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor is sticking with his story about an altercation with Machine Gun Kelly that was photographed at the 2021 MTV VMAs. As of Sept. 15, that story is that nothing happened between the two — despite photos and video that show Conor taking a swing at the rapper and singer as he lunges for him. During a chat with Adam Glyn for his "Adam's Apple" series this week (via Page Six), Conor acted as if nothing had gone down then invited MGK and his girlfriend, Megan Fox, to his next fight. "It's all good. Come to the next fight. They're more than [welcome]. Come watch me perform any time," he told the camera man. "Everyone is more than welcome to come to my fights and come to the shows." Adding that there's "no beef" between him and MGK, Conor said, "I don't even know the guy," before changing the subject. "Megan's been at the fights [for] years," he explained. "So I know Megan. I don't know the guy. There's no problem. Come to the fights. No problem."
