Bethenny Frankel sues Jason Hoppy for custody of their daughter

Bethenny Frankel is taking Jason Hoppy, back to court again. The Skinnygirl founder reopened her divorce case this month in the hopes of getting full custody of their daughter, Bryn, whom they previously agreed to coparent, according to the New York Post. The impetus appears to have been Jason's January arrest on stalking and harassment charges after he allegedly threatened to "destroy" Bethenny in a confrontation at their daughter's school. Bethenny later said he had also sent her threatening messages. He denies those claims but later took a plea deal in the case. Bethenny and Jason's custody battle over the 7-year-old appeared to be over back in 2014 when they reached a settlement in their divorce.

Liev Schreiber steps out with former beauty queen Taylor Niesen

Did Liev Schreiber have someone special to celebrate his latest Golden Globe nomination with this year? The "Ray Donovan" star reportedly stepped out with Taylor Niesen, a former beauty queen who was named Miss South Dakota in 2012, on Friday, Dec. 8. A snitch told the New York Post Liev, 50, and the 20-something model, shared fries and some conversation at "The Losers Lounge Tribute to Burt Bacharach" at Joe's Pub in New York City over the weekend. "They seemed tentative with each other and not all over each other," said the onlooker. The pair reportedly left together after the show's intermission. Liev split from his partner of 11 years, Naomi Watts in 2016. On Monday, Dec. 11, he snagged his fifth consecutive Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Drama TV Series.

Paris Hilton, self-proclaimed inventor of the selfie and "groundbreaking" celebrity "pioneer," recently took advantage of an opportunity to toss her onetime pal Lindsay Lohan under the bus. In a new interview MTV Australia, the reporter asks Paris about her Nov. 27 Instagram post celebrating the 11-year anniversary of "the first coming of The Holy Trinity," aka Paris, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan hitting the town together. "It was just Brit and I out, and then she just like chased us to the car and got in," Paris clarified. "She wasn't invited." The reporter replied by asking , "At what point do you say to Lindsay, 'Sorry babe,'" to which Paris jumped in to finish the thought with, "You're not on the list." Lindsay has repeatedly stood up for Paris over the years, which could explain some of the comments on MTV's Twitter post that featured the interview. "That's funny," wrote one user. "I seem to remember Paris having her publicist bring Lindsay to the car and announce to the paparazzi she arrived 😴👋 …" Another simply replied, "Pfft still mad at lilo? Get over it girl."

Is Lady Gaga following in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's vino-loving footsteps with a new alcoholic venture? Reps for the singer have filed paperwork to secure the names Joanne Trattoria Vino Blanco and Joanne Trattoria Vino Rosso, according to TheBlast. As Food & Wine points out, there's plenty of work to be done between the trademark process and the actual production of marketable booze, but Lady G could be celebrating her Joanne tour with a collection of wine named after her parents' New York City restaurant Joanne Trattoria. She could also be planning to release "private label house wines" for the Upper West Side Italian joint.

Chris Brown did not give his daughter a pet monkey — he got it for himself

Last week, social media users lashed out against Chris Brown after he posted a photo of his 3-year-old daughter Royalty holding a tiny capuchin monkey, an animal many said belongs in the wild rather than in the arms of a child. Seems animal rights activists can take some solace in the fact that the monkey was not a gift to Royalty. Sources tell TMZ Chris got the pet as some kind of homage to his idol Michael Jackson, who had lots of exotic animals at his Neverland Ranch. The monkey is apparently named Fiji and Royalty is only allowed to play with it when she's at her dad's house … although it's probably fair to say the jury's still out on whether monkeys make good pets for pop stars.

Celebs urge fans in Alabama to vote for Doug Jones

The Alabama Senate Race finally comes to an end Tuesday, Dec. 12, and celebs are urging fans and followers to vote for Doug Jones, the Democrat opposing Roy Moore, an alleged pedophile who recently suggested the last time America was great was during slavery and referred to Native and Asian Americans as "reds" and "yellows." "Alabamians, tomorrow is a big day," Ellen DeGeneres tweeted on Monday, Dec. 11 (via the Daily News). " If you believe all people are equal, whether they're gay, straight, black, white, male or female, I hope you'll get out tomorrow and vote for Doug Jones. #AlabamaSenateRace Ellen." Alyssa Milano posted a similar sentiment: "ALABAMA! Tomorrow you get the opportunity to vote for a good man. Thank you Doug Jones and Louise Jones. You are a beautiful reflection of the hope of Alabama. #GOTV4Doug #RightSideOfHistory Alyssa," she wrote. Mark Ruffalo, meanwhile tweeted about Alabama's "history or standing up for justice," asking followers to, "Pls be a leader in our country on Tuesday" and vote against Roy Moore. "Portlandia's" Carrie Brownstein chimed in on the race on Tuesday, after the Republican candidate and his wife faced widespread criticism for using the old "we have very close friends who are Jews" and shouting out their one Jewish lawyer as proof they are not bigots. Tweeted Carrie: "Happy Hanukkah from me and one of Roy Moore's attorneys!"

Is Prince's unreleased music in danger of being destroyed by wildfires?

A judge has basically warned Prince's family and the representatives of his estate not to bug the court with trivial matters that could be solved with some easy mediation. According to TheBlast, Prince's heirs tried to get the late music icon's unreleased music relocated to protect it from the wildfires in California. Reps for the estate at Comerica Bank & Trust hit back at the request by saying in court documents, "before reaching the Hollywood Facility [where the music is held], the fire would need to pass through the UCLA campus, all of Beverly Hills, and several miles of commercial areas in West Hollywood." The estate urged the judge not to have the music moved and accused the family of not conducting "a basic Google search" to determine the exact location of the facility. The judge ruled in favor of the estate, writing, "The Court strongly condemns bringing this matter before the Court without adequate discussion between the parties and will sanction a party for doing so in the future."

50 Cent smashes a $1,000 mixer during performance

Oops. 50 Cent's attempt at some mid-set acrobatics in Miami ended up smashing $1,000 worth of DJ equipment. The rapper was performing at Ora nightclub when he "jumped from the speaker to a VIP table and to the top of the DJ booth," according to the New York Post. The move landed him "right on the mixer," said a clubgoer. Fiffy reportedly offered to pay for the cost of the mixer but the set was apparently so well-received the club owner didn't mind. "The broken mixer was worth every penny," said Ryan Van Milligen. "He's welcome to come back and jump on our DJ equipment anytime. He literally brought down the house — no pun intended!"

Brittany Snow sued over 2016 car accident

Brittany Snow could be headed to court for a car accident she was involved in last summer. TMZ reports Jose Erazo Gomez has filed suit against the actress for allegedly failing to stop while driving behind him. Jose says her car rear-ended him and that he's suffered injuries including "shock and injury to his nervous system" and a torn disc in his neck. Although Brittany was reportedly driving when the collision occured, Jose is suing the star's mother, as well. Brittany has not commented on the suit.

Derick Dillard accused of using GoFundMe money for date night with his wife

Maybe it's time for Derick Dillard to give up on social media. The former TLC star, who was fired for making transphobic comments about Jazz Jennings, got an online earful when he posted a photo on Instagram that showed him "enjoying a date night" of dinner and desert with his wife, Jill Dillard, and their baby over the weekend. Commenters quickly jumped on Derick to ask where the money for dinner came from, given his recent campaign to raise $10,000 for "various missions opportunities." "Did y'all pay for that with your GoFundMe money?" asked one user (via InTouchWeekly). Another asked, "Are you sure you should be eating out? A homosexual may have made the sundae or own the restaurant." Derick did not reply to the comments. In his GoFundMe request, he said he planned to spend the money on projects that would allow him to "fulfill my specific calling to ministry this year, including trips for Gospel-advancement and humanitarian work in Northwest Arkansas, North America, and abroad."
