Ariel Winter shows off her bikini bod in sexy holiday shoot
Dangerous curves alert! Ariel Winter staged a mini photo-shoot while she and her boyfriend, Levi Meaden, were hanging out on a beach over the holiday weekend. "Happy #MemorialDay 🌊," she wrote alongside one of multiple racy pics that showed the actress posing in a blue bikini. While some followers slammed Ariel for invoking a day intended to honor the nation's armed forces while posting photos of herself, she did follow the bikini posts with a shout-out to vets. "Could not be more grateful to all of the men and women who risk their lives to protect ours and our freedom," she wrote. "We are all forever indebted to your service. Thank you." The "Modern Family" star has been on a campaign of sorts to shut down haters online — especially when they take aim at her clothing choices or her body. "Why do I have to be like everyone else?" she asked after getting heat for wearing a sexy gold mini-dress to a promotional event for her show. "Why can't people just let other people feel good about themselves and do what they want?"she continued. "… As long as you feel good about yourself, that what matters. I know I did. Don't let anyone ever stifle who you are and how you express yourself. Rant over."

Were Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara the cutest new couple at Cannes?
The Cannes Film Festival deigns to honor cute new Hollywood couples with prestigious awards, so we'll take it upon ourselves to name Joaquin Phoenix and his girlfriend Rooney Mara 2017's top contenders in the adorable lovebirds category. According to Vulture, Joaquin showed up near the end of the festival and was spotted out late with Rooney, who appeared to have gone to Cannes just to support her guy, the night before the awards. He was "nuzzling Rooney's neck as they headed home around 2 a.m.," according to the website, which noted that he was likely still beat from the travel and late hang when it came time to find out whether he'd won. When he snagged the Best Actor prize for "You Were Never Really Here," Vulture reports he seemed a little confused and asked Rooney, "am I supposed to go up there?" not having really understood the French that was being spoken from the stage. "Before I came here, I told my girlfriend it was going to be a really good experience because I was going to get crushed and that would be really humbling," he later said at a press conference. "I thought it would be great to know what it's like to be unanimously disliked. That was my expectation coming here, so this is, um, better." Joaquin and Rooney reportedly fell for one another on the set of "Mary Magdalene." In February, a source told the New York Post the two are "madly in love." After Joaquin's win, a spy told People (via Celebitchy)they looked like "a totally natural, easy couple" as they held hands while making their way to their car.

Jessica Chastain finds the depiction of women in film 'disturbing'
As a festival jury member at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Jessica Chastain couldn't help but notice a problematic disconnect between the female characters who appeared in the movies she saw and the women she knows in so-called "real life." "This is the first time I've watched 20 films in 10 days, and I love movies and the one thing I really took away from this experience is how the world views women," she said at a press conference over the weekend, according to Vulture. "It was quite disturbing to me, to be honest. There are some exceptions, I will say. For the most part, I was surprised by the representation of female characters on screen in these films. I do hope that when we include more female storytellers, we will have more of the women that I recognize in my day-to-day life. Ones that are proactive, that have their own agencies. They just don't react to the men around them. They have their own point-of-view."
Kendall Jenner 'just wants to move on' from Pepsi ad
Kendall Jenner's controversial Pepsi ad was pulled almost immediately after being criticized for making light of the Black Lives Matter movement, among other things. But Kendall probably still wishes she'd never shot it to begin with. "She totally understood at the end of the day, and she felt really awful for it," Kim Kardashian West told Andy Cohen this week on "Watch What Happens Live" (via Us Weekly) "She just wants to move on from it," Kim added. "I didn't see it until it had already gotten the attention, and so you obviously have a different perspective when everyone's just saying something. I think I was traveling, and I landed when I saw all this stuff come up. … I think anytime someone does anything, they don't have bad intentions of doing it a certain way, especially because Kendall is so sensitive. She would never mean for anyone to perceive anything in a negative way."

Maci Bookout worries her ex won't get help for his addiction
Is Maci Bookout's ex Ryan Edwards on the verge of an overdose? In this week's edition of "Teen Mom: OG," Maci admits she worries he won't get help for his substance abuse problem. "What I'm saying is that everyone else around him is too afraid of what it will look like more than his health … it's all denial. They all know," Maci says during a scene from a trip to Puerto Rico with her castmates (via E! News). "Honestly, the hardest thing is for me to see Ryan not love himself because he is a person worth loving. He deserves to love himself," she adds. "People forget that," Amber Portwood warns Maci. "You are so in love with the drugs that you feel if you wake up in the morning without them you want to die. So, should I die?
