Take a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-May 2023, starting with this pair…On May 22 — after Lauren Sanchez was snapped wearing what appeared to be a massive diamond engagement ring — DailyMail.com broke the news that the Emmy-winning journalist recently accepted a marriage proposal from Jeff Bezos. The Amazon billionaire reportedly popped the question with a 20-carat bauble worth an estimated $2.5M to $3.5M as he cruised around the Mediterranean aboard his brand new $500M superyacht with the former "So You Think You Can Dance" host and "Good Day LA" anchor. The duo went public with their romance in 2019 following an alleged affair.

During an interview with Graham Bensinger that debuted on YouTube on May 10, Dolph Lundgren defended the "severe" 40-year age gap between himself and his fiancée of two years, Emma Krokdal: "I feel like Emma is very mature for her age, for sure. She's had an interesting life. She came over here from a small town in Norway. She was married here and she went through a difficult divorce and went through a lot of stuff that most young people her age don't have to deal with. So she's quite mature and at the same time, I think I'm quite youthful," the 65-year-old action star said, adding that he's "been with people that are twice [Emma's] age [who are] less mature" than the 25-year-old personal trainer.
The "Rocky IV" alum went on to compare his future missus to Albert Einstein, pointing out that the Nobel Prize-winning theoretical physicist was in his mid-20s when he first developed the theory of relativity: "They don't have as much life experience, but it doesn't mean you can't relate to them," Dolph said, according to People magazine.
The Swedish actor previously claimed that the coronavirus pandemic disrupted his plans to marry Emma, whom he describes as "an angel that was sent down to help me."

On May 23 — after multiple media outlets reported that Tom Sandoval is dating a Texas-based influencer named Karlee Hale in the wake of his breakup from "Vanderpump Rules" co-star Raquel Leviss following backlash to their lengthy affair — a rep for the embattled reality star told TMZ that Tom and Karlee are just friends.
Tom's rep also shut down a rumor that he had "a fling" with "90 Day Fiancé" alum Darcey Silva sometime a decade ago: "[He] absolutely did not have an affair with Darcey," Tom's rep told Us Weekly on May 23 after Darcey's daughter claimed in a since-deleted TikTok video that her mother told her "she had a fling with Tom Sandoval 10 years ago."

On May 26, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was spotted hanging out with actress Hailee Steinfeld in New York City after it was reported that the NFL player had split with his longtime girlfriend. On May 18, The Sun reported that Harry Styles is dating former Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel. "Harry is one of the world's biggest music superstars so it's not surprising supermodels are lining up to date him. He's got history with Victoria's Secret models and has been linked to six others who have all walked in their fashion shows. Candice is one of Victoria's Secret's most successful Angels and Harry would be a lucky man if he managed to woo her," a source said. (Over the years, the pop star has been linked to Victoria's Secret models Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Sara Sampaio, Georgia Fowler, Camille Rowe and Nadine Leopold.) Deux Moi's sources have claimed since mid-April that Harry and Candice are an item.
Like Harry's last girlfriend, actress-director Olivia WIlde, Candice is also a single mother: She has two young children with ex Hermann Nicoli, a Brazilian model.

During an interview with British Vogue that debuted online on May 18, Miley Cyrus revealed that she met her boyfriend of nearly two years, drummer Maxx Morando, after they "got put on a blind date" in the summer of 2021. "It was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, 'The worst that can happen is I leave,'" she recalled. The pop star didn't specify who set them up.

On May 22, TMZ reported that in new legal documents filed in their increasingly nasty divorce, Kroy Kiermann alleges that his estranged wife, Kim Zolciak, has a problem with online gambling. The former professional football player claims that the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum's "very troubling behavior" has interfered with her ability to care for their four minor children, and he's asking the court to order her to undergo a mental evaluation. He also alleges that her "compulsion" — which he believes may be the result of an undiagnosed mental health issue like depression, anxiety or ADHD — played a role in their major financial troubles.

On May 19, People magazine reported that, according to a source, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are still working on their relationship after weathering a rough patch earlier this year: "They are slowly working on reconciling but he's totally in the dog house still. … He has a lot of proving himself to do, and he doesn't want to give her up. … He's doing whatever he can to get her back, and she's making him work for it. It's still an unhealthy dynamic though, and their friends just don't see this lasting," the source said, adding that wedding planning "remains halted."
A few days later, a second People source said that the duo — who got engaged in early 2022 — "were wedding planning, but not anymore" and "don't have a wedding date" because "Megan still seems hesitant" about marrying the actor-musician. "She has just put so much time into their relationship. It's hard for her to let go," the source said.

On May 23, Sarah Shahi took to her Instagram Story to wish her "Sex/Life" co-star and real-life love Adam Demos a happy 38th birthday: "Best looking 83-year-old I've ever laid my eyes upon," she wrote across a photo of the Australian actor holding up his birthday balloons — a 3-shaped balloon and an 8-shaped balloon — backwards. A few days later, Dylan took to Instagram to share a montage video featuring highlights from their nuptials. "My sweet side," he wrote in the caption. They got engaged in November 2022.

Prince Ludwig of Bavaria — the great-grandson of King Ludwig III, the last King of Bavaria — married doctoral student Sophie-Alexandra Evekink at the Theatiner Church in Munich, Germany, on May 20.
