'Rust' shooting update
Charges against Alec Baldwin in connection with the fatal shooting of "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins are being dropped, Deadline reported on Thursday (April 20). ABC News later reported the charges were already dismissed, citing two sources with knowledge of the change. Alec was hit with two counts of involuntary manslaughter after a gun he was holding while setting up a scene for the Western fired, killing Halyna on Oct. 21, 2021, on a set near Santa Fe, New Mexico. In a statement, Alec's attorneys Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro said, "We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident." Alec has long maintained he was told the gun was "cold," meaning it contained no ammunition, when it was handed to him that day. He's also said repeatedly that he did not pull the trigger.
The same day, Alec posted a photo on Instagram of himself embracing wife Hilaria Baldwin, captioning it, "I owe everything I have to this woman. (and to you, Luke)."
According to Deadline, charges against former "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed are expected to remain in play, allowing the prosecutors to continue work on the case. Both Alec and Hannah pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to Nick, the twins think it's "fun" right now, though he knows that could change. "At this point, they enjoy it," Nick said. "They have fun and they're the oldest. But who knows where that will go when 16 hits?" Nick went on to say the twins are now "having real conversations," some of which are "challenging," ahead of their 12th birthday. "Because, you know, their lives are far from normal. Their mom is one of the biggest entertainers to ever live and their dad is me," Nick explained. "They're so intelligent, they're so in tune with their own values. … One thing they do know is that dad f**** up. Dad makes mistakes." While the star doesn't consider his prolific baby-making to be one of those mistakes, he's not itching to expand his family again, either. "I'm good with my dozen," he said.

Alexa, for her part, just sounded happy to add Khloé to her circle, which now includes new husband Brennon Lemieux, thanks to her stint on Season 3 of the Netflix show. "Wait did we just become best friends?!? I feel so grateful to have met such an empowering woman," Alexa replied to her new pal. "Always learning how to spread love and positivity. Okurrrr🔥."

The video, posted by Matthew's wife, Camila Alves McConaughey, shows the stunning nonagenarian sharing a few words of advice about living a long and happy life.
"First thing is don't stress so much because stress will age you, really give you big wrinkles …," Mary tells the camera in the clip, which Camila captioned "91 yesterday!!!! Words of wisdom." "Also, eat proper, eat clean — not a bunch of sweets, not a bunch of carbohydrates … and also exercise! I do Pilates four times a week for an hour and it just energizes me," Mary continues. "Those are the three things: don't stress, eat clean, exercise. That's it, it works!" The inspiring clip ends with Camila thanking her mother-in-law for the great advice. Scarlett Johansson recalls 'cathartic' Bill Murray reunion after 'Lost in Translation'
More than 10 years after Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray made 2003's "Lost in Translation," a chance run-in between the stars some 10 years later allowed them to catch up and clear the air. That's according to Scarlett, who recently rehashed the unexpected reunion with her former co-star on this week's episode of Gwyneth Paltrow's "Goop" podcast. "I didn't see him for a decade or more. It was a long time. And then I walked into a bar with my ex-boyfriend from a long time ago … and there was only one person at the bar and it was Bill Murray. It was so weird," recalled Scarlett, 38, per People. "I walked in, and I saw him sitting there — nobody else there — and I was like, 'Oh my God.' I had to walk out. I was like, 'It's Bill! I haven't seen him in so long.' "The actress has previously admitted the movie was "a hard shoot" for her, telling Howard Stern in 2017 that she often felt isolated on the set. Bill, who's faced accusations of bullying for years and, more recently, of sexual misconduct, "had a lot of, like, ups and downs, and he had a lot of energy, and he was really, like, kind of always on," she said at the time. Their age difference — she was 17 and he was in his early 50s when they began filming — didn't help matters.
"It was such a weird moment. It was like a dream," Scarlett told Gwyneth, reflecting on her reunion with Bill. "And then I went in there and he was also surprised. Actually, it was kind of therapeutic. We sort of talked through that time," she continued. "I think it was hard for him too because he had a lot of stuff going on with his family and his marriage. And it was like he was also not totally knowing what we were doing out there in Tokyo over those weeks. It was, I think, his way of coping was being really sort of manic in this way. I don't know, we had a cathartic experience in that weird bar."
Andy Cohen defends Mark Consuelos amid first week on 'Live'
As Kelly Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos settles into his new role as her co-host on "Live" this week, news outlets including Page Six have reported the audience is responding with "mixed reviews," citing negative Twitter posts about the revamped show. Andy Cohen thinks that's not only unfair, it's also "lazy" reporting. "I have a bone to pick with the New York Post," Andy said on his SiriusXM show, "Andy Cohen Live," on Wednesday (April 19), according to Entertainment Tonight. "Mark and Kelly had their premiere the other day. The New York Post writes an article saying the response to the show was bad, and they quote 10 or 7 or 5 negative tweets about the show. This is a national show that gets, I think, like 5 million viewers a day. It's the No. 1 morning show," Andy argued. "So, the Post decides to lazily report that, 'Oh, people hate it' based on six troll-y tweets. There are probably 16 troll-y tweets about this particular broadcast right now. There's not a show that you could write about that you couldn't say, 'Well, guess what? People on Twitter hated it.'" Taking issue with the tweets being "reported as news," Andy added that while ratings aren't in yet, Kelly and Mark's "Live" premiere "probably got their highest ratings in a long time."
As of Thursday, imdb.com's (admittedly less-than-scientific) user ratings for the new show were hovering around 2.8 out of five stars. Mark, a frequent guest host on "Live," took over for Kelly's previous co-host, Ryan Seacrest, making his debut on Monday. Kelly and Mark's critics on social media have said, among other things, that they focus too much on their home life on the show and that Kelly interrupts Mark more than necessary.
Sarah Ferguson reacts to seeming coronation snub
The Duchess of York is A-OK with being left off the guest list for King Charles III's upcoming coronation. "I'm not [going], it's a state occasion, and being divorced I don't think you can have it both ways," Sarah Ferguson said on ITV's "Good Morning Britain" on Thursday (April 20), referencing her split from Charles' brother, Prince Andrew. "I am divorced and I'm really loving being divorced to my ex-husband, not from him but to him, it's important to differentiate," Sarah said, according to the Daily Mail. Despite skipping the "state occasion," Sarah said she'll "be there" to support the royal family, privately. "That's a lovely feeling to be part of, it really is — and as I said, you can't have it both ways."
Sarah also praised the coronation as being a "moment" that underscores "the unity of family," adding that "Charles and Camilla are doing an exceptional job at unifying the family." The duchess is expected to attend the coronation concert one day after the May 6 coronation at Westminster Abbey.
