She Was Arrested
While chatting with Cooper, Keough revealed that she had a run-in with the law during her teenage years.
"I was arrested once," the Zola star said.
However, when Cooper asked if Keough viewed her mugshot, she made a surprising confession.
"I never saw it," Keough noted.
Michael Jackson as a Stepfather
From 1994 until 1996, Keough's mother, Lisa Marie Presley, was married to Michael Jackson. However, Keough's dynamic with the "King of Pop" might surprise some.
"Our life wasn't crazier because that was already there," she shared. "That already existed, like the press and the crazy, the paparazzi and, you know, all that, but her life, I think when she saw Michael's life, there were things that he had that she didn't have."
"She didn't have a plane at the time or, you know, things like that, and so she then was like, 'Oh, I should have a plane and I should have this and that,' and so our life in that way kind of got bigger because before that, she was with my dad and their life was very simple," Keough explained.
Michael Jackson Rumors
Before marrying Presley, Jackson had been accused of abusing children, and the rumors of him being a pedophile followed him throughout his career. Despite the public scandal surrounding Jackson's friendships with young boys, Keough wasn't fully aware of the legal battle at the time.
"We didn't know anything," she told Cooper when asked about the claims. "We didn't know about any allegations. We didn't know. We had no awareness of that."
Nepo Besties
Since Keough and fellow "nepo baby" Zoë Kravitz have a close friendship, the two women chatted on the phone while filming the podcast episode.
"You're like, 'Actually,' and you're incredibly loyal and you're funny," Kravitz said when asked to describe Keough. "You're funny as h— and you're honest."
Reddit as a Coping Mechanism
As Keugh grieves her mom, who died in 2023, she's been relying on one social media platform.
"I would go on Reddit. I would literally go on forums, just because it was such an isolating experience, and read people's experiences and blogs," Keough admitted.
"I DM'ed with people on Instagram who DM'ed me who had also lost their siblings and talk to them and be like, 'Did you feel this way?' because it was so lonely. Anyone who had experienced it I would literally talk to," she continued.
Addiction Struggles
The Presley family continues to grapple with the loss of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie and Benjamin Keough. Over the years, Lisa Marie and Benjamin's struggles with substance abuse played out in the public eye.
"I've had a lot of family members who have had addiction issues that I will and won't say on air 'cause it's their personal, you know, story, but more than just my mother," Riley divulged.
