Ever feel like you just can't relate to celebrities? Well, you're not alone! Join Wonderwall.com as we take a look at the October 2021 receipts that prove stars are nothing like us… Only in Hollyweird! Meghan Trainor and husband Daryl Sabara have proven that there's no such thing as too close when it comes to spending time with your spouse. The singer revealed on the Oct. 1 episode of the "Why Won't You Date Me? with Nicole Byer" podcast that she and her "Spy Kids" actor hubby's California home features side-by-side his-and-hers toilets — yes, you read that correctly! "We just got a new house, and we did construction," Meghan explained. "Nobody knows this, but in our bathroom, there was one toilet, and a lot of time in the middle of the night when we're with the baby, we've got to [urinate] at the same time. So I was like, 'Can we please have two toilets next to each other?'"

During an interview for Vogue's "73 Questions" video segment that hit the internet on Oct. 21, Adele was asked about her most prized possession. Her answer? A framed piece of music superstar Celine Dion's gum! "It's pretty amazing," Adele gushed. "James Corden, who's a friend of mine but also does 'Carpool Karaoke,' which I did, he did it with her and knew how much of a fan of hers I was. And so he made her spit her gum into a piece of paper and framed it for me." Laughing, she concluded, "And it's my proudest possession!" James later confirmed that it was "a true story," telling his "Late, Late Show" audience that he had to stop Celine from doing "the fold," i.e., folding over the paper she'd spit the gum into. "I said, 'I got it, I got it, I got it,'" he recalled, noting that when he asked his producer to hang onto it and keep it "super safe," she looked at him like he'd "lost his mind." James further revealed the framed gum was a birthday gift for Adele, explaining, "She's a difficult person to buy for. A candle doesn't cut it!"
We're sure anyone who's parented a teenager can confirm that locating them sometimes can be a difficult feat. While some moms and dads might resort to calling friends or sending text messages to confirm their kid's whereabouts, Kathy Hilton took a different route. The socialite and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star used to call a New York City tabloid newspaper to track down daughter Paris Hilton when she went out partying. "I used to call the city desk at the New York Post. I would call the city desk and say at 1 in the morning, 'Excuse me, hi, it's Kathy Hilton. Uh, do you by any chance know Paris, where she is right now?'" Kathy revealed on the SiriusXM's podcast "Lunch with Bruce," Page Six reported on Oct. 6. Kathy continued, "This is the way I lived for years… My husband [Rick Hilton] had to get up and work in the morning. So eventually he'd go to sleep. But I was up waiting all night."

In October 2021, TMZ reported that newly filed court documents revealed that Kim Kardashian West is keeping the $60 million family home in Hidden Hills, California, that she and estranged husband Kanye West both shared with their kids before she filed for divorce. Kim retained the house by buying out her ex for $23 million — $20 million for the property, and another $3 million for its contents. According to TMZ, Kanye signed over his rights and the transfer was recorded with Los Angeles County officials on Sept. 28. The rapper-designer, however, isn't exactly homeless: In September 2021, The Dirt reported that Ye paid $57.3 million for a concrete Tadao Ando-designed beachfront home in Malibu.
Cardi B and husband Offset love to spend money. On Oct. 11, the "Up" rapper celebrated her 29th birthday by throwing a dancehall-themed party attended by guests including Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Normani and Snoop Dogg. But the star-studded affair wasn't even the most extravagant part of Cardi's birthday festivities: Offset gifted his wife a seven-bedroom house in the Dominican Republic!
Leave it to Lady Gaga to make an outrageously unique fashion statement like this! On Oct. 12, the "House of Gucci" star took to Instagram to share a photo of herself on a private plane to Las Vegas dripping in money — literally. "Back to Vegas baby with Haus of Gaga," she captioned the snapshot in which she carried a hot pink Hermès Kelly bag (which has a retail price of approximately $22,500) and wore a boa crafted out of $100 bills!
It's bizarre to think that a 95-year-old woman could make headlines for using a walking stick, but that's exactly what happened when Queen Elizabeth II stepped out with a cane at a public event on Oct. 12 and again on Oct. 14. According to CNN, the monarch relied on the stick for "comfort." As for the last time she was seen with a walking aid? In 2003, after she underwent knee surgery.
On Oct. 7, Mindy Kaling took to Instagram to share a photo of 3-year-old daughter Kit watching rain fall in the backyard of their Los Angeles home while holding an umbrella. In the background, fans can see an epic wooden swing set, which People magazine reported retails for around $22,000! The Serendipity playset from CedarWorks includes two swings, a swinging seesaw, multiple clubhouses and a slide and is covered in sweet heart, star and bird designs. We only wish we could've had this set up growing up! Mindy previously tweeted about splurging for the expensive set, tweeting in 2019, "All I've ever wanted for my kid is to have 'the fun house.' Remember that one friend that had the coolest backyard and everyone wanted to hang out there all the time? Well, now I'm the cool parent with the cool backyard."
While normal parents rely on piano teachers for lessons for their kids, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl tapped one of the most famous musicians in the world to give daughter Harper her very first piano lesson. No big deal at all, right?! While on "The Graham Norton Show" on Oct. 1, Dave recalled how he had Paul and wife Nancy over for dinner, and before the Beatles songwriter and bassist left, he spotted a piano in the room and sat down to play. "My daughter Harper, who I think was 5 at the time, is watching Paul McCartney on the piano and she goes to the kitchen and gets a coffee cup, puts some change in it and puts it on top of the piano like it's a tip jar," said Dave. "They sat down together, and he was showing her what to play, and they wrote a song together." Wild!
Kim Kardashian West took to Instagram on Oct. 14 to share a series of photos in which she's sporting faux fur sunglasses — Balenciaga's Fluffy Cat sunglasses — which retail for a cool $1,150 a pair. Shelling out more than $1K for a pair of eccentric sunnies is totally normal… right?!
In the November 2021 issue of British Vogue, Adele — whose net worth is an estimated $177 million — claimed that she can't really afford the cost of living in London. Keep in mind, however, that the "Easy on Me" hitmaker has invested more than $30 million in Los Angeles real estate, purchasing three compounds in the city's Hidden Valley neighborhood in the last five years. Though we don't doubt that housing prices across the pond are quite colossal, we still wish we had the real estate profile she does!
What a casual splurge! On Oct. 14, MailOnline reported that soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo gifted his longtime love, model Georgina Rodriguez, with a very extravagant present that left her floored: a Louis Vuitton Malle Vendome jewelry trunk, which is worth about $205,000. "I'm speechless, Cristiano," Georgina wrote in an Instagram Story showcasing the new luxury piece. According to the outlet, the jewelry collection that Georgina will be storing in the incredible trunk is worth an estimated $3.5 million.
On Oct. 3, Page Six gave readers a video tour of "The Real Housewives of Potomac" star Gizelle Bryant's wildly luxurious closet located in the "West Wing" of her home — which she's deemed her "favorite part of [the] house." The pieces in her wardrobe range from casualwear to extravagant gowns that are organized based on color. It's also home to notable items she's worn while filming the hit reality series, as well as dozens of pairs of shoes and extensive jewelry and wig collections. The closet is so big, it also includes a dedicated glam area covered in a huge lighted mirror where Gizelle spends hours getting ready.
We love this kind of generosity. According to a Page Six report from Sept. 27, Kim Kardashian West donated $3,000 to the GoFundMe of mother-of-four Angelina Cantrell who was seeking help so she could stop her family from losing their home. Angelina revealed on her GoFundMe page that she'd lost her husband to COVID-19 and lost her own job as a result of the pandemic. The donations list shows that "Kim Kardashian West" gave $3,000 — but she did not intend for it to be made public. "Kim did donate. She meant to do it anonymously and she gave the full amount the mother was asking for when she posted it, which was $3,000," a source told Page Six.
Talk about receiving star treatment! On Sept. 27, Page Six reported that Drake was treated like total royalty in Miami when he shut down the famous Prime 112 steakhouse so he could dine privately. "Drake took over the restaurant's bar area, where he dined with friends. The entire bar area was shut down for him," a source told the outlet. "Everyone got a glimpse of the superstar as he casually ate his meal and relaxed before the show." The "Certified Lover Boy" rapper dropped by the hotspot before making a special appearance during fellow rapper J. Cole's sold-out concert at FTX Arena that same night.
