After the comedian, 57, overcame a terrifying health scare due to a stroke and the blonde beauty, 52, scaled back her work commitments in Hollywood, the two reunited at the Wednesday, January 15, premiere of the film Back in Action in Berlin, Germany.

Foxx looked better than ever as he rocked a black suit with striped detailing over a white button-down shirt and a black bow tie. The Ray actor was also accompanied by his daughter Anelise Bishop, 16.
Diaz — who had not walked a red carpet or starred in a film in five years — turned heads in a sheer black top with high-waisted jeans and a long matching coat. The Holiday star finished off the look with gold Jennifer Fisher jewelry.

During a recent interview with Empire, Diaz revealed Foxx was the only reason she agreed to take on another acting role after she left the industry to focus on her two kids, whom she shares with her husband, Benji Madden.
"I thought that if I was going to come back and do a movie, the only person I'd come back and do it with would be this guy," she gushed over her pal. "Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I was always saying, 'No. I'm not doing it, I've told you… What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!'"

While the A-listers were working on the project in April 2023, production was halted as Foxx suffered a medical complication and was rushed to the hospital.
"We didn't know anything," director Seth Gordon told Business Insider about the scary situation. "No details. But we simply wanted to make sure he was OK as best we could. We put that priority first."

In the funny man's 2024 Netflix special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…, he explained what went down behind-the-scenes during the turbulent time.
"April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for an Aspirin. I realized quickly that when you're in a medical emergency, your boys don't know what the f— to do," he candidly told the audience about the brain bleed that led to a stroke.

"Before I could get the Aspirin [clicks his fingers] I went out. I don't remember 20 days," Foxx added.
The father-of-two did not shy away from how close he was to death, but he did make a joke about it. "I saw the tunnel. I didn't see the light," he said. "S—, am I going to the wrong place in this mother—— Because I looked at the end of the tunnel, and I thought I saw the Devil like, 'C'mon.' Or is that Puffy [Sean Combs]?"
