It's the award season trifecta: When actors win all three of the most prestigious American acting trophies — the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Oscar. In honor of the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Feb. 28, 2021, Wonderwall.com is running down some of these triple threats, starting with Angelina Jolie. In 2000, Angelina took home the best supporting actress prize at all three award shows for her work in "Girl, Interrupted."

"Forrest Gump" was an instant classic, charming both film audiences and critics back in 1994. The next year, its star, Tom Hanks, took home the best actor trophy at the 52nd Annual Golden Globe Awards and the 67th Annual Academy Awards. He also had the distinguished honor of being the first best actor winner at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which held its very first ceremony in 1995.

Viola Davis received three hard-earned trophies in 2017 for her performance in "Fences." The South Carolina native took home the Academy Award, SAG Award and Golden Globe for best supporting actress.
Gary Oldman proved he was the best of the best in 2018 when he won the Academy Award, Golden Globe and SAG Award for best actor for his work as Winston Churchill in "Darkest Hour."
Allison Janney was another standout winner in 2018, taking home the best supporting actress Academy Award, SAG Award and Golden Globe for her performance as LaVona Golden in the black comedy biopic "I, Tonya."
