Katy Perry and Gayle King participated in a historic trip to space as part of Blue Origin's first all-female flight crew on Monday, April 14.
The pop star and the broadcast journalist were joined by film producer Kerianne Flynn, philanthropist Lauren Sanchez, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen for an eight-minute trip to the edge of space in a New Shepard rocket that launched from Blue Origin's base in West Texas. It was the first all-female trip to space since 1963.
