This year, the Met's 2024 Costume Institute benefit celebrated the opening of the "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" exhibit and featured the dress code "The Garden of Time," which Vogue editor Anna Wintour explained was inspired by J.G. Ballard's 1962 short story of the same name.
The ladies, however, weren't the only celebrities who had fun with the theme. Join us as we take a look at what our favorite guys wore to this year's Met gala and see who played along with the theme and delivered some memorable style…

Fashion designer Christian Cowan and music star Sam Smith made their red carpet debut as a couple — after a few years of quietly dating — in custom looks created by Christian.
"The tailored ensembles look toward old world tailoring, using distorted lapels and minimalist cuts to give the suits an austere feel. This is then juxtaposed with romantic real red roses, sourced from Cowan's and Smith's home country, England," the designer explained on Instagram. "The red roses were then dipped into solid sterling silver and 24 carat gold, before being used to skewer through the suiting as a functional closure. Lastly, Smith's look is finished with a chiffon skirt to balance traditional tailoring toward a gender neutral position and silk cravats reflecting each other's eye color."
