Former NFL cornerback Vontae Davis was found dead on April 1 at a Miami home belonging to his grandmother. He was 35. Officials have not released his cause of death, though foul play is not suspected.
A 10-year vet and two-time Pro Bowler, Vontae played for the Miami Dolphins, the Indianapolis Colts and the Buffalo Bills. In 2012, the Dolphins traded him to the Colts — a moment depicted on HBO's "Hard Knocks." In 2018, he famously retired at halftime after playing the first half of a game.
Following his untimely passing, several NFL players and football professionals took to social media to say goodbye.
