Muhammad Ali officially arrived on March 6, 1964. Before that, the boxer was known by his birth name: Cassius Clay.
Just two weeks before he changed his name, the boxing GOAT entered the ring for the final time as Cassius Clay.
Clay was a huge underdog when he stepped into the ring in Miami against then-World Heavyweight Champion Sonny Liston on Feb. 25, 1964. Boxing history was forever altered when Liston had enough and gave up before the seventh round began. It was the first time Clay won the World Heavyweight Championship.
"I'm the greatest!" he shouted from the ring, as documented in this image, adding, "I shook up the world."
