He's an actor whose parents are both Hollywood stars: His mother met his father — an Oscar-winning director — when she starred in one of the filmmaker's most lauded action-adventure movie franchises.
Now he's an actor himself: He's seen here at the London premiere of "Masters of the Air," in which he has a role, on Jan. 22, 2024.
He credits his folks' Hollywood careers with influencing his own ambitions. "I started off in theater in California, at a small little theater in Venice Beach, and then I just got the bug right away," he told People magazine. "I think I was about 15, and I was lucky enough to have parents who made a living off doing it, and so that was inspiring."
"I was [like], 'Oh, this is something that's possible,'" he added. "And then I went to drama school after high school and I wanted to study theater, and then I stayed in theater in New York for a while before transitioning over to film and TV."
While he shares a love of military history with his director dad, his mom was his acting role model. "She is an incredible actor and she's made an incredible career for herself and just watching her growing up, living by example, did the trick for me," he said.
