Kanye West denied he's bipolar — and claimed he has a neurological developmental disorder — in a newly released text message to Elon Musk.
The rapper asked his friend Ian Connor to share screenshots of a message he sent the Tesla founder: "When are we going to speak? You owe me nothing," the texts began.
He went on to take a veiled shot at Elon's social media platform, X, and made a bold claim about his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

In a purported text message to Elon Musk, Kanye West implies he isn't happy with the current state of their relationship.
"You never have to speak to me again, but if we do speak, the nature of the relationship has to change," Ye wrote before getting into his mental health diagnosis.
"I'm not bipolar. I have signs of autism from my [2002] car accident," he claimed.
Ye nearly died in the car crash, during which he broke his jaw. (He famously recorded his first single as a solo artist, "Through The Wire," while his jaw was still wired shut.)

Kanye West received a bipolar disorder diagnosis back in 2018. Years later, he claimed he was "mentally misdiagnosed."
"What should be obvious by now is that I was raised to stand for my truth regardless of the consequences," he tweeted in 2022. "So I will say this again: I was mentally misdiagnosed and nearly drugged out of my mind to make me a manageable, well-behaved celebrity."
Ye made those claims after his antisemitic tweets got him banned from Twitter.
When Elon Musk took over Twitter, he reinstated Ye's account, but the rapper has rarely used it since then.

Kanye West also took aim at the X platform and at Kim Kardashian in his new message to Elon Musk.
"You can't watch Kim keep my kids from me and not say anything publicly and then call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform," he wrote.
Kim and Kanye share four children: North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4.

It's unclear what prompted Kanye West's latest rant.
He spent most of the summer vacationing in Europe with his wife of 10 months, Bianca Censori.
In early October, the "Stronger" rapper was photographed at a soccer game in Italy with his 7-year-old son, Saint.
