Doggone winner
Tim McGraw has a dog in the fight… an award winning dog, actually. On Tuesday, May 9, the Grammy winner announced on Instagram that his Bracco Italiano dog Lepshi won "best of breed" at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. The Associated Press said Tim's 6-year-old pooch was eliminated in the semi-finals, but made the judge's "initial cuts in his group." "So proud of Lepshi!! He's always been a winner in our eyes!" Tim wrote alongside a photo of his top dog with a ribbon. "Lepshi won best of breed today for the Bracco Italiano, the first year for the breed at Westminster."

Desperate to save marriage
On the heels of his wife filing for divorce, Kevin Costner is living his "worst nightmare." "He is apparently still trying to save his marriage," a source told Us Weekly. "Kevin loves his wife and children so this has been very hard on him. He is saying that this is his worst nightmare and he would do anything for his family." Christine Baumgartner filed for the divorce from the "Yellowstone" star on May 1 after nearly 19 years of marriage. Kevin is said to be "deeply saddened," the source said, as previous reports claimed he never saw it coming. "Everyone thought Kevin and his wife were super happy, so it's all surprising," Us' insider said. "He truly loves her and is trying to get her back. He's been blindsided by this."

Rethinking his revisit
Chalk this one up to a "bad idea." As "The O.C." celebrates its 20th anniversary, Ben McKenzie has been taking a trip down memory lane with his 7-year-old daughter, Frances, by his side. Unfortunately for him, he forgot some of the racing content of the show, which isn't necessarily suitable for kids. "I haven't been working in the last couple years because I've been doing this stupid book thing, and so they [the kids] think that their mom is cool because she's in movies, but they're not aware of my work," he said, referencing his wife, Morena Baccarin. In speaking to Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke's rewatch podcast, "Welcome to the O.C., B******," Ben said, "So I let Frances watch 'The O.C.' at 7 years old … bad idea, bad idea. She of course loves it, like absolutely loves it. I had to cut it off after two episodes because I was like, 'Oh my god I forgot about the smoking.' I remembered the drinking. And there's cocaine." Still, his daughter can't wait to keep watching, which he jokes is "terrible parenting." The actor added, "I feel like 'Gotham' would've been a better move than 'The O.C.' in a weird way, even though there's people dying left and right."

Arrested for a cause
Susan Sarandon was arrested and taken into custody outside the New York Capitol for protesting in support of fair wages for restaurant workers. Former New York lieutenant governor candidate Ana Maria Archila was also among the eight arrested. WNYT-TV reported that the Oscar-winning actress was booked into jail, issued an appearance ticket and released. An online video shows Susan being escorted off the premises in handcuffs. Nonprofit One Fair Wage reports that New York is about to increase the state's minimum wage to $17 an hour, but tipped workers are excluded from the legislation, which mainly affects restaurant employees. Susan and her fellow protesters believe the legislation should include tipped restaurant workers.
Theft victim
Lily Collins was the victim of a theft recently, as some of her most valuable jewelry, including her wedding band and engagement ring, was stolen. The "Emily in Paris" actress was getting pampered at the The West Hollywood EDITION hotel over the weekend, but she was sure to secure her belongings before heading into the spa, TMZ reported. However, after returning to her locker, all of Lily's belongings were gone. As the theft included jewelry and electronics, it's been classified as "over $10,000." Interestingly, there was no sign of forced entry where Lily stored her belongings, TMZ said. No arrests have been made, but police are looking at the building's security footage for leads.
Cardio queen
Mindy Kaling has transformed her body over the past few years, and she's now revealing her secret: hiking and running… and a lot of it. "I'm feeling really confident in my body these days, which is not something that I've been able to say for my whole life, unfortunately. I feel great," she told People magazine. "I know people are really interested in my body and the changes in my body, and I think it's flattering and sometimes it's just a little much, so I don't try to tune it in too much. The truth is that I spend so much time and energy trying to be healthy." In addition to weight lifting with a trainer and eating in moderation, the "Mindy Project" star does 20 miles of either running or hiking every week. "It's really a big commitment," the mother of two said. "It's hard with two kids that I wake up really early and I fit it in — and I basically live in workout clothes so I can get it in, get an extra mile in."
Uncomfortable living quarters
Although their marriage has fallen off the edge, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are still living under the same roof. Legal docs obtained by TMZ indicate that Kim and Kroy both continue to live in their Georgia mansion with their four young kids. How long this living arrangement will last remains to be seen, but there is suspicion the "Don't Be Tardy" stars will try to maintain normalcy for the kids. However, things seem to be getting nastier. On May 8, TMZ reported that the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum filed for divorce because their marriage is "irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation." She listed April 30 as their date of separation and asked the court for spousal support and sole physical custody with visitation for Kroy. In Kroy's divorce petition, he's asked for sole legal and physical custody as well as for possession of their Alpharetta, Georgia, home — which went into foreclosure in February — and for Kim to vacate the property. He also wants her to maintain all financial documents including income records, tax records, expense records and more, which TMZ reported suggests a deep conflict over who's responsible for their financial problems.
