Diddy says he pays Sting $5K a day for sampling 'Every Breath You Take'
Sean "Diddy" Combs weighed in on a Twitter thread this week to clarify just how much money he still forks over to Sting on a daily basis after sampling the classic Police song "Every Breath You Take" on Diddy's 1997 hit, "I'll Be Missing You." According to Diddy, that sample still costs him $5,000 a day. He tweeted the figure after spotting a resurfaced "Breakfast Club" interview that showed Charlamgne Tha God asking Sting if it's true Diddy pays him $2,000 a day for having used the sample without permission. Sting says "yes … for the rest of his life," but clarifies that the rapper and producer did get permission after recording the track — just not before — and that the two are "very good friends now."
Diddy's response? "Nope," he wrote in the thread. "5K a day. Love to my brother @officialsting!" According to Variety, most of that cash is now likely going to Universal Music Publishing, which reportedly bought most, if not all, of Sting's song catalog for "around $350 million" in 2022.

Fans react to Martha Stewart's latest stunning selfie
Martha Stewart stunned her Instagram followers again this week with yet another seemingly ageless selfie to rival that thirst trap she shared from her pool a few years back. On Wednesday (April 5), the 81-year-old lifestyle guru hopped on the 'Gram to show off her newly coiffed 'do after weather issues in Chicago left her without any way to get to the Windy City for a planned speaking engagement. "Chicago O'Hara [sic] was closed mid morning to all flights because of very bad weather," Martha wrote in part. Noting that it was "the very first time in my career that I missed a contracted appearance," Martha said she "used the newly found time to get a manicure pedicure by Luda and a haircut by the maestro himself @johnbarrettnyc." Calling the new look "refreshing and lovely," Martha thanked her hair stylist and posted pics of the results from the salon. "Looking fabulous Ms Martha," one impressed Insta user wrote in the comments. "Making the best of it and giving us all a gift in the process," another agreed. Asked "how are you looking this amazing?" by a third fan, Martha replied to say she eats "very well" and does lots of Pilates and horseback riding. While detractors called out the millionaire for seemingly using "fillers," others complimented her regardless of what she may have had done. "Now, she has good doctors 🔥," one person wrote.
After sharing a similarly stunning selfie moment in January, Martha said she's never had a facelift, crediting her great skin to regular facials and Pilates and a "mostly dry January." The response at the time was a mix of praise and criticism. Snapped one user: "No one in their right mind thinks this is a real 80 year old face or you got it from pilates." (In fact, Martha was 81 in January. She turns 82 on Aug. 3.)

Steven Tyler responds to sexual assault lawsuit, says relationship with teen was consensual
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has filed a seven-page response to allegations he sexually assaulted a minor beginning in the 1970s when she was 16. According to Insider, the singer denied the woman's claims in a March 28 filing, telling the court their relationship was consensual. In her lawsuit, Julia Misley alleged Steven began sexually assaulting her after she met him at a concert when she was a teenager. She says he continued to do so and even had her parents make him her guardian so she could join him on tour, allowing him to leave the state of California without risking arrest. Julia also claims the star forced to have an abortion when she was 17 in the lawsuit, which cites anecdotes about their relationship that Steven included in his memoir. While her claims would normally fall outside the statute of limitations, Julia reportedly filed suit under California's Child Victims Act, which gives accusers a longer "lookback window" for allegations such as Julia's. In the response, Steven's lawyers claimed Julia consented to the physical aspects of her relationship with the singer, listing 23 additional defenses against her claims. Among them, was a claim Steven's guardianship over Julia gave him "immunity or qualified immunity" against her allegations, a defense Julia's lawyers slammed as "potentially dangerous." Steven reportedly wants the lawsuit dismissed and is asking a judge to force Julia to cover Steven's legal fees.
Khloe Kardashian shares new details about son's name
Khloe Kardashian is finally sharing some name details about her baby boy. The mother of two stopped by "The Jennifer Hudson Show" this week, where she was asked if she'd settled on a name for the 8-month-old son she shares with her ex, Tristan Thompson. "Yes, he's named, but I haven't announced it yet," she said, according to TooFab. "He was delivered via surrogate, or the stork, I like to say, and at first, I did not know what I was going to name him. I wanted to meet him and feel him out a little bit, and so at first he didn't have a name," Khloe explained. Though she confirmed the little guy's name begins with a "T" — a la his daddy, Tristan, and big sister, True — Khloe said she's "been waiting for the [Season 3] premiere of our show," Hulu's "The Kardashians," to reveal it. "I didn't know it was going to be this far out," she added, joking, "So now, if my daughter outs me, I'm s******." In the meantime, Khloe was happy to dish on her newest addition's size — "he's a little chunk," she said with a smile — and demeanor. "He is a quiet baby. He's a happy baby, which is amazing," she gushed. "My daughter was the same, so I've been lucky twice."
Despite rumors to the contrary, it seems she and Tristan are not back together, by the way. According to Khloe, she's happily "single." "The Kardashians" returns to Hulu for its third season on May 25.
Brad Pitt let elderly neighbor live rent-free on his LA property for years
Brad Pitt recently sold his 1.9-acre estate in Los Angeles for a reported $40 million, but in the years that he owned the property, he allowed an elderly neighbor to live on it, rent-free. That's according to Elvira — aka Cassandra Peterson — who sold Brad the estate in 1994 and went on to buy a new place right next door. "I think there were like 22 houses houses that were contiguous to the edge of the property. And every time they came up he bought one," she recalled in a recent interview with People. She says one of those properties belonged to a man in his early nineties. "[Brad] was very, very kind to the husband," Cassandra explained. "His wife passed away and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died," Cassandra explained. "It was kind of funny because John lived to be 105," she added. "I imagine Brad was thinking well, you know, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now."
Cassandra, meanwhile, apparently found a different kind of perk in living next door to the star — namely, the view. She recalled noticing Brad when he was getting ready to film "Fight Club" and she was out walking her dogs. "I go past Brad's garage and he's in there wearing only sweatpants. He's got on boxing gloves and he is punching a bag. I swear I almost fainted," she admitted. "I remember he goes, 'Hey, how are you?' and I'm like, 'Huh?' I couldn't talk. I was turning red. I felt like I was fainting. He's just so stunningly, stunningly handsome — and nice, to top it off."
Sherri Shepherd plans to get breast reduction surgery
"The View" alum Sherri Shepherd says she plans to have a breast reduction this summer once her talk show wraps up for the season. "I think I'm getting a little reduction because my back is starting to hurt," she told Entertainment Tonight in New York City at Variety's Power of Women Luncheon on Tuesday (April 4). Her surgery plans come after a pin on the chest of her dress popped open, revealing much more than her stylist, Willie, expected when she was on the air last week. "Coming out, you know, on daytime [TV], sometimes it's too much," she said of the challenge of finding the right styles for her figure. As for the pin Willie tried to use to keep her ensemble family-friendly last week, she joked, "I keep telling him, 'It's heavy. They're going to pull it forward!'" After its successful debut in 2022, "Sherri" was renewed in January for two more seasons, per The Hollywood Reporter.
