Parent shamed
Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky are being parent-shamed after puling a birthday prank on their son. In an Instagram image, Elsa is seen shoving her son's face into a cake. "Happy 9th birthday to my two little men! Only one way to eat cake in this house and that's to have mum slam your head into it face first!!" Chris wrote alongside the pic. The "Thor" star then implied that his son said he preferred vanilla to chocolate. "Oh really son, what about now"?" Chris joked. In the image, the family can be seen laughing. Soon after, Chris and Elsa were criticized by several social media warriors. "Why do people think this is funny?" one person wrote. Another claimed, "It's so violent." A third added, "Why people smash their kids face in the cake is above my understanding but whatever." Many people came to Chris and Elsa's defense and even mocked the critics. "Those kids are gonna grow up able to take a joke not be [someone] who thinks having their head dipped in frosting is violent," someone commented. Chris and Elsa are parents to daughter India, 10, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 9.

'A gift from God'
All these years (and all these kids) later, Nick Cannon still thinks Mariah Carey is the "love of [his] life." The comedian, who recently welcomed his 12th child, married the hitmaker in 2008 but the two eventually split in 2016. "She's the coolest person I ever met," he tells The Shade Room in a new chat, adding that he grew up with posters of Mariah on his bedroom wall. "I get a lot of this delightful disposition from her. She's just always happy, always doing for others. No matter what's happening in life. I'm like, 'Wow, a person can really operate like that and don't allow negative energy into their space.'" He continued, "When I found out about how remarkable she was… that woman is not human. She's a gift from God." Although he's certainly been intimate with several women — as evidenced by the different mothers of his children — Nick said in July 2022 that he will never "have a love like I had with Mariah." "It was literally like a fairytale with Mariah so I would rather it just be that way. I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn't the same, I'd be like, 'Damn, I messed it up,'" he said on the Hottee Talk Show Podcast. "If I had the opportunity, if it could be the way it was, I'm there."

Phone incident fallout
Back in March 2022, Nick Lachey got angry with a paparazzi photographer, allegedly spewing profanity and attempting to snatch her phone through the window of her car. He's now feeling the repercussions. According to the Daily Mail, the 98 Degrees singer was ordered to complete 52 weeks of anger management classes and attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. "Until this day, Nick hasn't taken any responsibility. He's justified it. He thought this was done, but it's not done," photographer Jody Santos told the U.K.-based news organization. "A personal apology was declined, then a written apology was declined. No one from his team has reached out and asked, 'Are you ok?'" At the time of the incident, Nick was leaving a restaurant with his wife, Vanessa Lachey, when he saw Jody across the street snapping pictures of him from her car. He quickly directed a vulgar hand gesture at her before approaching the vehicle. "In all my years of photographing celebrities, no one has ever tried to hit me. I am just relieved that I rolled up my window as fast as I did, otherwise he would have knocked me out. No doubt about it," she alleged.
'Jealous' early days
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos appear to be in lockstep in their 27-year marriage, but that wasn't always the case, especially early on. In her new SiriusXM podcast Let's Talk Off Camera, Kelly said Mark was "insanely jealous" in the early days of marriage and recalled her husband once getting upset at a restaurant after an elderly waiter called the the daytime host a "princess." "I remember that. Look at age 25, I was pretty insane," Mark said. "But that jealousy thing definitely followed me for a while. I'm not jealous anymore." His admitted jealousy was a "character flaw." "It's ugly. As ugly as it feels to the person who has to be on the receiving end of it, it's such an ugly feeling inside. If this is any consolation, you know you're being crazy," he said. "The jealous person knows that this is wrong and it's ugly, but they can't help it." Kelly and Mark both acknowledge that those days are long gone and he's no longer jealous, which they're both grateful for. "My biggest complaint about you over the course of our marriage, and this is not recent because it definitely changed… but you used to be insanely jealous and that was a hard pill to swallow," Kelly said. "… It's very hard being married to somebody who is jealous."
No conservatorship… yet
Despite her psychotic episode on Sunday, March 19, Amanda Bynes' parents will not be angling for another conservatorship, according to a report. Still, her mom and dad — Lynn and Rick — are rightfully concerned and another conservatorship isn't completely off the table. According to report, Amanda was naked in the downtown Los Angeles streets in Sunday's early a.m. hours when she flagged down a car and called police herself. TMZ said the "Easy A" star's parents are taking solace in the fact that Amanda recognized she was in trouble. After being taken to a nearby police station, a mental health team felt a 72-hour psychiatric hold was necessary. The hold can be extended. Amanda was under a conservatorship for nearly a decade. In March 2022, the conservatorship was terminated after her parents and a judge deemed it unnecessary.
Money matters
Former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Braunwyn Windham-Burke is alleging that her estranged husband, Sean Burke, "emptied" their joint bank accounts when they split. "It's the reason I did file for divorce. When you're still legally married, there's not a lot to protect you," she told Page Six. "So Sean had emptied out our joint bank accounts unbeknownst to me." The impact of the alleged actions was felt immediately. "Literally, one day I woke up and I had no access to any of my cards or any money. And that was why I filed for divorce," she said. Sean, however, counters his ex's claim, arguing, "Any funds that were moved were used to pay family bills." Sean and Braunwyn share seven children, five of whom are minors. Braunwyn came out as a lesbian in December 2020. Soon after, she began dating women and filed for a separation. In October 2022, she filed for divorce. Still, Sean is her primary source of income. "As of right now, if he doesn't send me money — because legally he's not required to — then I can't buy food or groceries and my parents have been supporting me," she says. "He sends very little. I have five kids still at home that I'm taking care of and he doesn't send enough to cover groceries."
