Financial matter
Danny Trejo is filing for bankruptcy, but he hasn't fallen on hard times. The "Con-Air" star told TMZ that he owes about $2 million in taxes to the government, claiming he mistakenly claimed deductions over the years that caught up with him. Danny is set to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which is basically being done to reorganize his assets to help deal with the debt. Since Danny is filing for personal bankruptcy, his many businesses — including Trejo's Tacos, his record label and his coffee/donut shops — will not be affected. The actor is hoping to be debt free next year.

No apologies
Olivia Wilde remains unapologetic after praising A$AP Rocky. On Sunday, the actress posted a video of the rapper cheering on his pregnant girlfriend during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Olivia reposted the video, writing, "If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge." Fans immediately ripped her, feeling as though she was shooting her shot at Rocky. Amid the backlash, Olivia attempted to clarify. "For anyone who got it twisted," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "It's hot to respect your partner. Especially when your partner just did thaaaaaat." The "thaaaaaat" that Olivia was referring to was Rihanna's 13-minute Halftime performance.

Hollywood savior
Did Maverick get a makeover? Tom Cruise debuted a new look this week at an Oscars luncheon. While mingling with fellow celebrities in a midnight blue three-piece suit, the "Mission: Impossible" actor sported a deep tan and large, shaggy hair, a departure from his usual look. His new look wasn't the only thing that had people talking. A video from the luncheon has gone viral in which Steven Spielberg tells Tom how impactful "Top Gun: Maverick" was. "You saved Hollywood's a** and you might have saved theatrical distribution," the legendary director told Tom. "Seriously, 'Maverick' might have saved the entire theatrical industry." King Tom.

Retirement chatter
Cate Blanchett might hang up her acting shoes. In the chat with Vanity Fair, the two-time Oscar winner said she often thinks about retiring early. "It's not occasional – it's continual," Cate, 53, said. In fact, she thinks about stepping away from acting on a "daily or weekly basis." The "Tar" star adds, "It's a love affair, isn't it? So you do fall in and out of love with it, and you have to be seduced back into it." Just weeks ago while appearing on The Sunday Project, she again said the tug of retirement was real. "I think it was because 'Tár' was such a physical role, the echoes of it are still with me and I think I'm like a lot of audience members, I need time to process it," she said.
Video fallout
Only kindness in the building. Last month, Hailey Bieber posted a TikTok video in which she mouthed the words: "I'm not saying she deserved it, but God's timing is always right." The since-deleted video came out around the same time Selena Gomez was body-shamed after being photographed in a bikini. A Selena fan resurfaced the video, "Is she for real? Did she really?" @ellenacuario said in her video. "I'm not really an avid follower of the situation but isn't Hailey the one that like, begged Selena to tell off her fans for bullying her? I mean, Hailey's a b****." Selena saw the comment and seemed to agree that the video is about her. Still, she's not letting the meanness hit home. "It's ok! I don't let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone! x," the singer commented on the video (via Page Six.) For her part, Hailey has denied that the video was done with anyone in mind. "I never comment on this type of thing but we were just having a girls night and did a random tik tok sound for fun. It's not directed at anyone," she said.
Online flirting (again)
Tristan Thompson has returned to his old playbook. The former NBA star is back to subtly flirting with Khloe Kardashian — this after she posted a series of steamy bikini pictures. Multiple media outlets said Tristan, who shares two children with Khloe, "liked" the images. The former Cleveland Cavalier, who has a sketchy track record of fidelity with the reality TV star, has often used social media to flirt with his ex over the years. Khloe and Tristan have had an on-and-off relationship since 2016. Rumors of late (and cryptic social media posts) suggest that the duo is back on, but she recently declared her single status during a Twitter Q&A. "Who has time for a man lol I have a 6-month-old baby and True and I are sickly codependent on one another. Ha! I secretly love it," she wrote. "No but for real … No man right now … He's in my prayers too ha!"
