Jeremy Renner is still ailing from a New Year's Day snowplow accident that left him in critical condition, and he's facing a long road to recovery. On Jan. 16, a source told Radar Online that "it's much worse than anyone knows. Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there," noting that "the right side of Jeremy's chest was crushed, and his upper torso had collapsed. He also had a bad head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury." A second source told the webloid that "word is the damage to Jeremy's chest was so substantial it had to be reconstructed in surgery," claiming that friends have said it could be two years before he's, as Radar put it, "back in fighting shape."
Sister Kym Renner has remained positive, telling People magazine days earlier on Jan. 10 that Jeremy is doing better than expected at this point. "If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn't mess around. He is crushing all the progress goals. We couldn't feel more positive about the road ahead." On Jan. 1, the Marvel actor was run over by a 14,000-pound snowcat, which is used for plowing and grooming snow. He suffered "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries," according to a statement from his rep, and underwent emergency surgery.

No more delays. Todd and Julie Chrisley's request for bail was denied on Jan. 10, meaning they will have to report to prison on Jan. 17. The "Chrisley Knows Best" stars had filed an emergency motion to delay their reporting dates by three weeks. In June 2022, the couple was found guilty of 12 counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy. Todd was later sentenced to 12 years in prison; Julie was sentenced to seven years behind bars. Us Weekly reported that the duo hoped to avoid prison while they appeal their sentences.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child daughter of Elvis Presley, died on Jan. 12 following a cardiac arrest. TMZ reported that she was found unresponsive in her Calabasas, California, home by a housekeeper and that her first ex-husband, musician Danny Keough — who reportedly lived with the music scion following the 2020 death of their son, Benjamin — performed CPR on her until medics arrived. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where, TMZ further reported, she was placed on life support and in an induced coma before she ultimately passed away hours later. Mother Priscilla Presley confirmed news of her death, saying in a statement, "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers." Lisa and Priscilla had just attended the Golden Globes two days earlier on Jan. 10 where they watched Austin Butler win for his titular performance in the film "Elvis."

In a chat with late night host Stephen Colbert on Jan. 10, Prince Harry claimed that the U.K. media put a "dangerous spin" on what he's said about his military experience and urged people to read his words in context. In his memoir, "Spare," the royal, who spent 10 years in the British army, claimed he killed 25 Taliban members during his second tour of Afghanistan and called the insurgents "chess pieces taken off a board." Upon seeing the headlines, Taliban commander Molavi Agha Gol told DailyMail.com that Harry's a "big mouth loser" who "fled to his grandmother's palace." Taliban leader Anas Haqqani tweeted, "Mr. Harry! The ones you killed were not chess pieces, they were humans; they had families who were waiting for their return. Among the killers of Afghans, not many have your decency to reveal their conscience and confess to their war crimes. The truth is what you've said; Our innocent people were chess pieces to your soldiers, military and political leaders. Still, you were defeated in that 'game' of white & black 'square.' I don't expect that the ICC will summon you or the human rights activists will condemn you, because they are deaf and blind for you. But hopefully these atrocities will be remembered in the history of humanity."

Kanye West is a married man again (kind of). On the heels of his divorce from Kim Kardashian, the rapper-designer and Yeezy employee Bianca Censori had a secret wedding secret ceremony, but it doesn't appear that the duo filed a marriage certificate to make the it legal, TMZ reported on Jan. 13. Still, he's been seen wearing a wedding ring of late, and Ye and the wifey were spotted dining out on Jan. 9. It's not known how long the two have been a couple, but he did pay tribute to Bianca — who's been described as a Kim look-alike — in his most recent song, "Censori Overload," which is clearly a nod to her last name. According to TMZ, Bianca is from Australia and has worked as Yeezy's architectural designer for several years. Jeff Beck, one of the preeminent guitar players of a generation — who's twice been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — passed away on Jan. 10. "On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck's passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday," they said in a Jan. 11 statement. Jeff was a musician's musician who had the respect of nearly every major rock group in the '60s. More recently, the eight-time Grammy winner toured with Johnny Depp, who was at Jeff's bedside before he died and is said to be "devastated."

Here we go again. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, who share two kids, have reportedly split for the umpteenth time. The exact timing of the breakup isn't known, but it was recent, as she supported him in Miami during a performance in December. "Kylie and Travis are off again, they were supposed to spend the holidays together, but she went to Aspen to be with her family and friends up there," an insider told Us Weekly. "This has happened so many times before, they're known to be on again off again, but always remain friends and great co-parents." A source told People magazine that friends expect them to get back together, since they've always done that. But the two are in different places in their lives. "Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business. She is not a big partier. Travis is the opposite. He likes to party. They definitely have different focuses. They always did," People's source said.

The Buffalo Bills player who went into cardiac arrest on national TV is back home. On Jan. 2, Damar Hamlin collapsed during a Monday Night Football game and was given CPR on the field. After nine days in two hospitals, Damar was discharged from Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute on Jan. 11. In the days following his stunning on-field collapse, millions of dollars were donated to his GoFundMe toy drive (from some bold-faced names, no less) to support his Chasing Millions foundation.
