Wonderwall.com rounded up all the ways celebrities proved they're nothing like the rest of us in 2022 — from spending ridiculous amounts of money to acting in ways that are only acceptable in Hollyweird — starting with this story…
On May 10, FOX announced that Tom Brady had officially signed on to serve as the network's lead NFL analyst once his playing career finally comes to an end. (The iconic quarterback has waffled on retiring several times in recent years.) The New York Post then reported that under the terms of his deal with FOX, the professional football player is set to bank a whopping $375M over the course of 10 years. After that figure got out, FOX released a statement insisting that "what has been reported isn't an accurate description of the deal." But they stopped short of clarifying exactly how much they're planning to fork over to the NFL GOAT, prompting speculation that he is, in fact, set to take home a paycheck somewhere in that ballpark.
Now keep reading for more proof that stars were nothing like us in 2022…

A card, a cake, some cash and balloons wouldn't cut it for Sean "Diddy" Combs. The rapper and music mogul gave his twin daughters, Jessie James and D'Lila Star, much more epic gifts for their sweet 16th in December — luxury vehicles. Video shared on social media shows that during their intergalactic-themed joint birthday party, Diddy escorted the girls, whose mother is the late Kim Porter, outside the venue where new matching Range Rovers — one white, one black and both topped with big red bows — were waiting for them in the street, eliciting screams of joy from the girls. Page Six reported that a 2022 Range Rover typically ranges in price from $44,700 to $215,500.

During an Aug. 11, 2022, interview with USA Today, Brooklyn Beckham revealed that he has about 100 tattoos including around 70 dedicated to his new wife, actress and heiress Nicola Peltz. "She always cries when I get her another tattoo. I always love to surprise her with new ink," he said. The social media chef's inked tributes to the "Bates Motel" actress include her eyes on the back of his neck, his wedding vows on his arm, her name on the side of his neck, the letter N on his ring finger, the word "married" on the side of his hand and her late grandmother's name on his wrist. We hope their marriage lasts as long as Brooklyn's collection of body art…

Most people just send a Christmas card. Tom Cruise isn't most people. Instead, in December 2022, he wished his fans well for the holidays in mid-air while skydiving during filming for the next two "Mission: Impossible" movies. "I didn't want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theaters and thank you for supporting 'Top Gun: Maverick,'" the movie star said in a video he posted on social media right before he jumped out of a plane. "Where was I?" he quipped while in free-fall. "Oh yeah. Thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick, and thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honor of a lifetime." He then told the camera that was falling with him, "I'm running out of altitude, so I have to get back to work. We have to get this shot. You have a very safe and happy holiday, we'll see you at the movies."

Kendall Jenner went viral after the May 12 episode of "The Kardashians" showed her struggling to "chop up some cucumber" for a snack. Mom Kris Jenner initially offered up her chef's assistance, which the model declined: "It's pretty easy," she said, prompting an encouraging "You go, girl!" from the Kardashian family matriarch. Kris then warned her daughter to "be careful" as Kendall, who was 25 at the time, admitted she was "kind of scared" of accidentally hurting herself. She then put her fingers dangerously close to the knife's blade and wondered aloud if "cucumbers have seeds" (they do!) before confessing, "I definitely am not a good cutter, so don't zoom in on me. I'm not professional whatsoever." (We didn't realize it takes professional culinary skills to chop up a cucumber.) That's when Kris called to the other room, "Hey, chef, do you wanna cut this up for her?" The entire exchange prompted questions about whether or not Kendall has ever prepared a meal for herself before.

Most lucrative gig ever? During an interview with Variety that debuted online on Aug. 3, 2022, "The White Lotus" star Jennifer Coolidge revealed that she "got a lot of play" from starring as Stifler's mom in the "American Pie" franchise. "I got a lot of sexual action from 'American Pie.' There were so many benefits to doing that movie. I mean, there would be like 200 people that I would never have slept with," she said.

On July 16, 2022, Dr. Louie Dean Valencia tweeted that starting in the spring of 2023, he'll teach a history course at Texas State University centered around Harry Styles. That's right: At just 28, the former One Direction singer's contributions to pop culture are so significant, there's now a history course about his career and its impact. Dr. Valencia told NBC New York that the course — Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity: Identity, the Internet and European Pop Culture — was inspired in part by his musings on "the ways masculinity has changed in the last decade" along with celebrity culture and the internet.

He pays how much for WHAT?! On June 7, Snoop Dogg nearly broke the Internet when he revealed that he pays more than $50K a year for the services of a full-time blunt-roller. After the UberFacts Twitter account tweeted that the rapper "employs a full-time blunt roller who makes between $40,000 and $50,000 a year," the "Gin and Juice" chart-topper replied, "Their salary went up!!" He added that the pay bump was due to "inflation."

This is the type of big spending we love to see! On June 15, the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville announced that Dolly Parton had recently donated $1 million to the organization's pediatric infectious disease research efforts. "I love all children. No child should ever have to suffer, and I'm willing to do my part to try and keep as many of them as I can as healthy and safe as possible," the country music icon said in a statement. It's the second time in the past few years that the singer-actress has made a major donation to VUMC: In April 2020, she donated $1M to the organization's COVID-19 research efforts.

Christmas isn't all about you, Mariah Carey… The iconic diva is behind one of the biggest Christmas songs of all time: 1994's "All I Want For Christmas Is You." But does that make her the official Queen of Christmas? She seems to think so! In March 2021, the superstar filed an application to trademark the term "Queen of Christmas" for use in various projects and products. Her bid went public in July 2022, infuriating other women who've been called the Queen of Christmas over the years. Singer Elizabeth Chan, for example, dropped an album titled "Queen of Christmas" in 2021. Variety reported on Aug. 15, 2022, that Elizabeth filed a declaration of opposition to Mariah's trademark request: "Christmas [came] way before any of us on earth, and hopefully will be around way after any of us on earth. And I feel very strongly that no one person should hold onto anything around Christmas or monopolize it in the way that Mariah seeks to in perpetuity. That's just not the right thing to do. Christmas is for everyone. It's meant to be shared; it's not meant to be owned," Elizabeth said. U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board agreed and in November denied Mariah's application to trademark "Queen of Christmas," "Princess Christmas" and "Christmas Princess."

On March 7, Page Six reported that Kris Jenner — who has an estimated net worth of $170M — has an entire room dedicated to her fine china at her $20 million estate in Los Angeles's Hidden Hills neighborhood. In an interview for daughter Kourtney Kardashian's lifestyle brand, Poosh, Kris revealed that the room, which was originally a walk-in closet, is designated to house hundreds of pieces of china that are as pricey as they are sentimental. From custom family pieces to items from the Hermes Balcon du Guadalquivir line (some of which retail for more than $2,000), Kris's extensive collection takes up shelves upon shelves of space!

Ugh. On July 12, 2022, Celebrity Jets — a Twitter account that tracks celebs' private jet usage — tweeted that Kylie Jenner had recently taken a 17-minute flight from Camarillo, California, to Van Nuys, California. (The 40-mile trip would've taken around 45 minutes via car.) Days later, the makeup mogul took to Instagram to brazenly share a photo of herself and boyfriend Travis Scott embracing in front of two private jets. "You wanna take mine or yours?" she wrote in the caption, prompting one follower to write in the comments section, "Whose plane should we pollute the earth [with] today?" Another social media user called the reality star a "full-time climate criminal."

Adam Sandler's daughter Sunny (right, with big sis Sadie) may have had the fanciest bat mitzvah in the history of Judaism. Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Lautner, David Spade and Peyton List attended the A-list affair in early May at the exclusive (and expensive!) Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles, where Charlie Puth and Halsey served as the evening's entertainment. Now just imagine how star-studded her sweet 16 will be!

Who needs luxury cars when you can purchase a luxury private jet? On Feb. 26, TMZ revealed that reality TV star and SKIMS mogul Kim Kardashian shelled out upwards of $95 million on a brand new G65OER jet. Built from scratch, the luxury aircraft — which seats 18 passengers and has been dubbed "Kim Air" — aesthetically resembles Kim's home in Los Angeles's Hidden Hills enclave: the jet's custom interior and exterior are a cream color while the cabin features leather seats and creamy cashmere detailing. Tommy Clements and Waldo Fernandez (who designed the home of Kim's brother-in-law, Travis Barker) assisted in designing the plane's interior, according to the webloid, which also revealed that passengers who board are given a pair of SKIMS slippers and pajamas to make sure they're comfy on their trip.

It's all in the accessories? On April 22, Blake Lively took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos of herself wearing $198 Reformation overalls and a simple white tank top while visiting Martha Stewart's farm in New York. But because she's Blake Lively and it was Martha Stewart's farm, the "Gossip Girl" alum completed her look with $60K in Brent Neale bling. According to Page Six Style, her look included a $28K one-of-a-kind rainbow-hued bib necklace featuring 11 different colorful gemstones, matching drop earrings worth $32K featuring 10 colorful gemstones each, several smaller hoop earrings and a diamond ring. "Overall… it was a good day," Blake captioned her slideshow of pics. …Yeah, we bet.

Ariana Grande loves the finer things in life — and that includes top-tier accommodation! On Sept. 20, Britain's The Sun reported that the "7 Rings" singer is renting a luxurious and palatial North London megamansion — valued at eight figures — while working on the forthcoming two-film adaptation of the Broadway musical "Wicked," in which she stars as Glinda the Good Witch. According to the report, the home has a massive kitchen, bedrooms filled with high-end furniture, a huge cinema, large reception rooms and a private garden — plus neighbors including comedian Ricky Gervais and rock star Liam Gallagher.

Baby businesswoman! On Feb. 2, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade's 3-year-old daughter, Kaavia James, launched her very own clothing line in collaboration with Janie and Jack. The "Bring It On" alum told Vanity Fair that her little girl has been interested in fashion "since she could walk" … so, like, for two years now. "When we were designing this line, people were like, 'How does a child participate in the fashion process?' But when we whittled down our ideas between the Janie and Jack design team and me and my husband, we showed [Kaavia the options] … [and] there were things that we loved that she was like, 'No.' And we didn't force any of it on her. If she didn't like it, that was it," said the proud mama. "We wanted to make sure this was completely collaborative and truly represented Kaavia. And it does. And I'm thrilled how the clothes turned out. I'm thrilled how the campaign turned out and it's her. It's her." Uh-huh… Only in Hollywood can a toddler launch her own business…

On the July 6, 2022, episode of Ford CEO Jim Farley's "Drive" podcast, Tom Brady said that being super-rich is the "hardest thing" about raising kids with now-ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. (Eye roll.) "We have people that clean for us. We have people that make our food. We have people that drive us to the airport if we need that. … We get off a plane and there are people waiting there for us and we get ushered in. … That's my kids' reality, which is the hard part to say, 'Guys, this is not the way reality really is,'" said the football champ, who's worth a reported $250M. He went on to say that he and the supermodel try to give their children "experiences that are more along the lines of what most kids go through," though they "still have experiences that a lot of kids never do have." Yeah, no kidding. Now let's all take a moment to shed a tear for the poor, poor Brady-Bundchen clan.

No flowers or chocolates for Kim Kardashian on Valentine's Day! On the April 6 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the mother of four revealed that then-boyfriend Pete Davidson gifted her the costumes and props from the October 2021 "Aladdin"-themed "Saturday Night Live" sketch during which they shared their first kiss — and which ultimately sparked their romance — for their first Valentine's Day as a couple. "For Valentine's Day, he got me the rug and the whole outfits and the little genie lamp," she said. Considering he found fame on "SNL" and she's the biggest reality star on the planet, it somehow makes sense that he'd give her something television-themed, right?! Only in Hollyweird!

Following Queen Elizabeth II's death on Sept. 8, fresh attention was paid to the British royal family's wealth and land holdings. With King Charles III now on the throne, eldest son Prince William has inherited a private estate valued at around $1.2 billion. William, who's now first in line to the throne, oversees the Duchy of Cornwall estate — and now holds the Duke of Cornwall and Prince of Wales titles — after inheriting them from his father. The duchy, which dates back to 1337, is made up of almost 140,000 acres of land and property in southwest England and the revenue it generates is "used to fund the public, private and charitable activities" of the Duke of Cornwall. He's not obligated to pay any form of tax on his estate, though he's expected to follow Charles' lead, as the king voluntarily started paying taxes in 1993. "Of course, voluntary income tax [is] not a fixed rate, and they don't have to declare how much income they're making their tax on," Laura Clancy, an author of a book on royal finances who's a lecturer in media at Lancaster University, told CNN Business. "So actually it's just like plucking a figure out of thin air." In 2021, Forbes reported that the queen's personal wealth was approximately $500 million. Most of that now goes to Charles.

Offset took to his Instagram Story on daughter Kulture's 4th birthday — July 10, 2022 — to share a video of the adorable tot sitting in a car while holding up her present: a massive stack of $50,000 in cash. The Migos rapper and wife Cardi B then took the birthday girl to Candytopia, where she marveled over a portrait of the "Bodak Yellow" chart-topper crafted from various types of candy. (We hope she didn't spend her entire $50K birthday gift on sweets!) The following week, Cardi took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos from Kulture's over-the-top mermaid-themed birthday bash, which featured elaborate balloon sculptures, a bounce house, inflatable slides, multiple arts-and-crafts stations and plenty of party favors for guests.

Going through a custody battle is difficult enough without having to do it in the limelight! On April 26, Olivia Wilde got served while introducing the trailer for her upcoming film "Don't Worry Darling" on stage in front of thousands of film industry professionals at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The legal documents pertained to the custody of the two children she shares with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis. "This is for me?" asked the actress-filmmaker after a woman slid a manila envelope reading "personal and confidential" across the stage to her. Sources close to the "Ted Lasso" star later told media outlets that he "had no prior knowledge of the time or place" that his ex would be served as the decision "would solely be up to the process service company involved" and that "he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner." The "House" alum, meanwhile, was reportedly mortified … with good reason! These are the moments when we realize fame isn't all it's cracked up to be.

It looks like Dwayne Johnson will be winning the Son of the Year Award this year… again. On June 4, The Rock took to Instagram to show off the new house he bought his mother, Ata Johnson: "I surprised my mom and bought her a new home," he captioned a video of his mother holding back tears while touring her new digs for the very first time. "Took me and my design team eight weeks to get it ready, where she could walk through her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise. I've been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she's told me over and over these past few years, 'After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That's my dream.' Mom, there's no greater feeling than to make you happy — welcome home." He also shared a video of his mom touring her new family room and a clip of her reacting to her new "Smackdown Room," which is filled with her "treasures" — Dwayne Johnson memorabilia from over the years including posters, trophies, his old football helmet, a wrestling championship belt and more. "This is her favorite room to bring guests to and it's my least favorite because the last thing I want to do is stand in a DJ shrine while people look around … at all the stuff I've done. No thanks," he joked in the caption. According to the New York Post, the A-list actor dropped $3.48M on the six-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom, 4,400-square-foot home in Encino, California.

Typical Tom! In late July 2022, Tom Cruise made headlines for interrupting a couple's peaceful hike along England's High Crag mountain by rolling up in a helicopter and then quickly paragliding away. "Sorry for disturbing your peaceful walk with all the noise — I like your dog," the A-list actor told the couple, according to The U.S. Sun. "He was as cool as a cucumber," the couple noted of the "Top Gun" star as he ran toward the edge of the 2,440-foot summit. It's believed Tom was shooting (or practicing) a stunt for an upcoming installment in the "Mission: Impossible" franchise. Just another normal day in the life of Tom Cruise!

Kendall Jenner, who's reportedly worth around $45 million, didn't know what "frugal" meant until this year. The revelation came when the supermodel sat with sisters Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian — plus mom Kris Jenner — for a joint interview with "Access" that debuted online on April 11. When asked who among them is the most frugal, Kendall looked confused as her older sisters and mother agreed that she, in fact, is the most frugal. She then leaned over to Kourtney and said, "What does that mean? I don't even know what that means." Replied the oldest Kardashian sister, "You care about the cost, like money." Kendall then agreed, "Oh, yeah, I'm cheap!" (Not too cheap to snap up a five-bedroom house in Beverly Hills for $8.5M in 2017 when she was just 22 or to rack up a seven-car collection worth more than $1M, but anyways…) Throughout the exchange, Kylie — who's a billionaire — looked equally confused, prompting viewers to speculate that she'd also never heard the word "frugal" before. One YouTube viewer said it best in the comments section: "Imagine being so rich you don't even know what the term 'frugal' means."

While touring her California mansion for a Vogue video that debuted online on Feb. 18, Kim Kardashian showed off three vehicles from her fleet that she had customized to match her home's achromatic color scheme. "I wanted my cars to kind of blend in. My house is gray, and I wanted them to kind of match the house, so I did all gray cars instead of my typical matte silver that I used to do," she said before introducing her "three faves" — a Lamborghini Urus (which start at around $218K), a Rolls-Royce Ghost (which start at around $312K) featuring a crystal version of the brand's Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and her "favorite baby ever, ever, ever," a Mercedes-Maybach Sedan (which start at around $185K). The mother of four also showed off the colorless basketball court in her backyard. "I just wanted it really neutral. All my gym equipment is black. So the court is black. The basketball hoops are black with, like, a cream [backboard] and hoop. I just wanted it to look like it matched my whole house," she said. She sealed her fate as Hollywood's least relatable celeb by saying, "There's nothing more fun than a good workout day at my house." Yeah, sure, Kim, nothing more fun!

Imagine being so successful that you lose track of the properties you own! Such is reality for momager Kris Jenner. "I forgot you even had this place," Khloe Kardashian told Kris during a visit to her mother's Beverly Hills condo on the season 2 premiere of Hulu's "The Kardashians" on Sept. 22 (which was filmed in the spring of 2022). "This is a cute little place, if I must say so myself," said Kris, adding that she last visited the property over the holidays in 2021. "This is our gift-wrapping station. This is Santa's workshop," she said. Khloe replied, "I can't wait to be wealthy enough to forget I have property somewhere — just like, 'Oh, I have a condo in Beverly Hills? I forgot about that!'" Kris later explained in a confessional, "Here's the thing: I have a condo and my mom has one and my cousin [Cici Bussey] has one, and we all live nearby and I kind of forgot it was there. That sounds so ridiculous, doesn't it?" Kris and Khloe later cleaned out the condo's fridge, which was stocked primarily with bottles of champagne — "in case of emergency," Kris quipped.

Martha Stewart is gunning for a Guinness World Record… On the May 17 episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers," the domestic doyenne revealed that she's in the process of building the world's largest garden maze at her farm in New York. The Dole Plantation's Pineapple Garden Maze in Hawaii currently holds the record, which the lifestyle entrepreneur hopes to claim when she finishes planting her own maze comprised of different types of trees and shrubs in a three-acre paddock previously occupied by her horses. "I've planted four big rows so far," she said. "I took my horse on a ride through the maze. We got lost already, which is great. It's like dressage: You go in there and you have to make these sharp turns, and he actually liked it because it makes them think. So I can't wait to get the whole thing done. … But I have to find enough plant material. It's hard to find that many trees. I've already planted like 600 trees." …Geeze, Martha, leave some trees for the rest of us!

Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Affleck! On Aug. 20, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck walked down the aisle for a second time, following their Las Vegas elopement in July, in a romantic ceremony at Ben's Riceboro, Georgia, estate that was witnessed by close friends including Matt Damon and Kevin Smith. On top of the epic wedding costs, like a fireworks display during the reception, DailyMail.com reported that Ben secured a three-mile no-fly zone that was enforced by police and security that included boats patrolling the lake bordering the property. If only we had that type of cash to spend on maintaining privacy!

In "The Palace Papers," which hit bookshelves on April 26, journalist Tina Brown wrote that — according to Prince Charles's former senior valet, Michael Fawcett — the royal traveled with a few essentials: an orthopedic bed, his own lavatory seat, two landscape painting of the Scottish Highlands and Kleenex Velvet — a now-defunct brand of toilet paper. Imagine bringing your own bed and toilet seat every time you hit the road…

Kanye West pulled out all the stops to impress his then-new girlfriend, Julia Fox, on one of their earliest dates. In a brief essay that Interview magazine published on Jan. 6, the "Uncut Gems" actress detailed their extravagant first week of coupledom: Just a few days after they met in Miami on New Year's Eve, the duo jetted off to New York City to catch a performance of "Slave Play" on Broadway. After the show, they dined at Carbone, where Ye "directed an entire photo shoot" for Julia as other guests dined nearby. "After dinner Ye had a surprise for me," the brunette beauty wrote. "I mean, I'm still in shock. Ye had an entire hotel suite full of clothes. It was every girl's dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment. I don't know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time. But I was so surprised. Like, who does things like this on a second date? Or any date!" Kanye, that's who! According to People magazine, he "requested all runway pieces" from Diesel's Spring/Summer 2022 and Pre-Fall 2022 collections for his new gal pal. "About 40 pieces from the Spring/Summer and Pre-Fall 2022 runway collections were pulled quickly and sent to the hotel," said a source, adding that Julia ultimately kept six of the looks the rapper selected for her. The pair split in February.

Nichelle Nichols — who portrayed Communications Officer Lt. Nyota Uhura on "Star Trek" — will receive an appropriate send-off in the coming days when her DNA and ashes are launched "between 150 million to 300 million kilometers into deep space" on Celestis Inc.'s Vulcan Rocket, the company announced on Aug. 25. Nichelle — the first Black woman featured in a lead role on a network television series — worked for many years to recruit minority astronauts, though she never made it to space herself before she passed away on July 30 at 89. Nichelle's ashes will be in the company of some of her former "Star Trek" colleagues including the show's creator, Gene Roddenberry and his wife, Majel Barrett Roddenberry; "Star Trek" engineer actor James "Scotty" Doohan; and Douglas Trumbull of "2001: A Space Odyssey" fame, according to "Entertainment Tonight." Nichelle's son, Kyle Johnson, will also give a portion of his DNA so he can be by his mother's side in spirit on her journey. "My only regret is that I cannot share this eternal tribute standing beside my mother at the launch," Kyle said in a statement. "I know she would be profoundly honored for this unique experience and enthusiastically encourage all of her fans to join us vicariously by contributing your thoughts, affections, memories, [Nichelle-] inspired successes, dreams, and aspirations via email to be launched with her on this flight!"

Taylor Swift is just 32, but her contributions to the entertainment industry are so great, New York University offered a course about the impact of her career thus far. "This course proposes to deconstruct both the appeal and aversions to Taylor Swift through close readings of her music and public discourse as it relates to her own growth as an artist and a celebrity," read an official description of the course, per Variety, on Feb. 2. Rolling Stone writer Brittany Spanos taught the college class, which ran from late January to early March 2022.

Following the award show, the rocks were repurposed for a collection of limited-edition rings, the proceeds from which will go to a charity in MGK's native Cleveland.

Boo. Hoo. Blac Chyna infuriated hard-working single parents across the country when she took to Twitter on March 30 to claim that she receives no child support from the fathers of her two children: she shares daughter Dream with Rob Kardashian and son King with rapper Tyga. She then alleged that because she's "a single mother [with] no support," she was forced to "give up three of my cars." (How many cars does she have?!) Her exes eventually caught wind of her out-of-touch gripes and took to Instagram to fire back. Rob claimed he pays $37K a year for Dream's school — plus all of her medical expenses and extracurricular activity bills — and added that his little girl only stays with her mom two days a week. Tyga, meanwhile, claimed that he pays $40K a year for King's school and that his son only stays with Chyna one day a week.

The May 19 episode of "The Kardashians" showed Kanye West borrowing a firetruck to take his oldest child, daughter North West, to school. "Guys, is this not the coolest thing ever? Who gets to ride in a firetruck? … I don't think anyone has ever done this before, ever," Kim Kardashian gushed of her ex's "very Kanye way" of handling carpool duties while touring the firetruck with the four kids they share. Said Kanye of the over-the-top gesture, "I think sometimes people are kind of bashful to be super-dads. Everybody wants to be a cool dad, and sometimes you just gotta wear the fire hat." Well, not all dads can just go out and borrow a firetruck, but OK!

On May 11, Ludacris took to Instagram to share a video showing off the "little graduation gift" he bought himself after he received an honorary bachelor's degree in music management from Georgia State University on May 4: a brand new private jet. Not too shabby considering he initially dropped out of Georgia State to pursue his music career back in the '90s!

Every bride hopes to feel like a princess on her wedding day, but Kourtney Kardashian accomplished that goal much more easily than most other women… The reality star and Travis Barker rented a castle in Portofino, Italy, to exchange vows for the third time, marrying in front of a small group of family and friends over the weekend of May 21. The duo booked Castello Brown — which was used for military defensive purposes dating back to 400 AD — for the four-day affair. Fancy! On top of that, on May 24 E! News reported that Kravis's Italian nuptials likely cost somewhere in the ballpark of $3.5M, with thousands going towards transportation to Italy via private jet, accommodations, catering, floral arrangements, the venue and entertainment. (Andrea Bocelli, who performed during the reception, reportedly banks between $500K and $750K for bookings while DJ Cassidy, who handled the rest of the tunes, banks between $40K and $75K per gig.) The Kardashian-Jenner clan also donned hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of Dolce & Gabbana couture throughout the weekend. On July 26, 2022, DailyMail.com reported that Brad Pitt had just dropped $40M on a historical cliffside property in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, that was built in 1918 for novelist D.L. James. It's believed to be the most expensive house sale ever in the area.

Kim Kardashian donned a gown worth an estimated $10M — the dress Marilyn Monroe famously wore when she sang "Happy birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy at New York City's Madison Square Garden in 1962 — during the 2022 Met Gala on May 2. The reality star borrowed the one-of-a-kind, Jean Louis-designed garment from the Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum in Florida, which won it at auction for $4.8M back in 2016. (At the time, it was the most expensive dress ever sold at auction.) Kim — who lost 16 pounds in three weeks to squeeze into the curve-hugging, 60-year-old sheath — told Vogue that guards delivered the gown to her via private jet, and she "had to wear gloves to try it on." Ripley's later wrote on Instagram, "[Kim is] the only person besides Marilyn Monroe to ever wear the iconic 'Happy Birthday' dress owned by Ripley's Believe It or Not! The multi-million-dollar dress has rarely been separated from its original dress form, let alone worn by anyone other than Monroe. Great care was taken to preserve this piece of pop culture history. With input from garment conservationists, appraisers, and archivists, the garment's condition was top priority. … No alterations were to be made to the dress and Kim even changed into a replica after the red carpet." The following day, Ripley's revealed that it also gifted Kim "an actual lock of Marilyn's iconic platinum hair" and "filled her Met Gala dressing room with a trove of Marilyn Monroe and JFK memorabilia to help inspire her look." In a video showing her reaction to receiving the lock of hair, Kim gushed, "Oh, my God, I'm literally going to do some crazy voodoo s*** … [to] channel her. This is so special to me. Thank you so much. This is so cool. Wow, this is sleeping with me every night."

CEO Evan Spiegel, made a "significant donation" through their Spiegel Family Fund — the "largest single gift" in the school's history — to cover the repayment of outstanding student loan debt for every graduating member of the class of 2022. "It is a privilege for our family to give back and support the Class of 2022, and we hope this gift will empower graduates to pursue their passions, contribute to the world, and inspire humanity for years to come," said the power couple.

Tom Cruise is always the most extra! The A-list actor caught a ride in a helicopter to the world premiere of "Top Gun: Maverick" in San Diego, California, on May 4. The chopper deposited the superstar on the flight deck of the USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier that now functions as a Navy museum. He didn't pilot the helicopter himself that day — though as he told "Entertainment Tonight," he certainly could have! "I do fly that helicopter, but not today," he said.

On the April 20 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" — in his first talk show appearance in 14 years — Nicolas Cage confirmed a rumor that he once dropped somewhere around $80K on a two-headed snake. "Does that make me impossibly strange? I did [have a two-headed snake]. It's weird," he said, adding that he'd been "dreaming about two-headed eagles" at the time when an exotic pet dealer coincidentally reached out to his manager about the snake. He didn't hold onto the snake for long, though: The two heads "would fight" because "one head was more dominant than the other" and "it just got a little too freaky" for the actor, who ultimately donated the snake to the Audubon Zoo, where it lived for 14 years. These days, his only exotic pet is a talking African pied crow that lives in a 16-foot dome at his home in Las Vegas. Later in the wildly entertaining interview, Nic said he once donated $20K to a local orphanage after he won big playing roulette in the Bahamas. He also confirmed rumors he once attempted to buy a cave: "I had an interest in exploring all the elements," he said, launching into the story. "I got my [diving] certificate on the Great Barrier Reef — I explored the element of water. Air, I didn't really get as far as I wanted to — I wanted to be a hang glider, but it didn't happen. Fire, I felt like [with] 'Ghost Rider' I had explored the element of fire. Then I wanted to explore earth, and I thought, 'I want to start spelunking. I want to start exploring caves.'" That's when he learned a cave was on the market somewhere in North Dakota: "It was beautiful. … There were all these stalactites and all these milky quartz-like crystalline walls. At the time, I was married and I was like — it looked like nigori sake, unfiltered sake — 'I'd like to buy this and just go down to the bottom of the cave and get totally naked with my wife and drink nigori in the bottom of a cave in the earth,'" he said, drawing roars of laughter from the audience.

Apparently designer kids clothes just fall into Stormi Webster's lap… On Aug. 4, 2022, Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram Story to share several videos of the private shopping experience created for her daughter at Harrods in London: rows of Dior and Gucci handbags, Nike sneakers, flashy designer clothes, toys, games and more. "Look at what Harrods did for Stormi to go shopping. Is this not the craziest? You are a spoiled, spoiled girl!" the makeup mogul gushed in one clip. Yeah, no kidding! The mother-daughter duo visited Harrods to check out the luxury department store's Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin displays.

On the April 7 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Diane Kruger revealed that her fiancé, "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus, recently snapped up a home in California — even though they lived with their daughter in New York City at the time — without talking to her about it first. Recalled the actress, "We drove by [the house] — he was dropping me off at a table read. … It's a Sunday. You know how those houses are open and you can just walk in. We looked at it — it was pretty. But we live in New York. So then he drops me off and I come out of my table read, and there's like 50 messages that start with, 'I love that house. I stayed another hour. What do you think?' Next message, 'Should we move to California? … How 'bout we make an offer? You know what, I made an offer. We got the house!'" Added the "Troy" alum, "I had not considered relocating to California — which then we did." (Can you imagine buying a house and instigating a cross-country move without talking to your partner first?!) She also said of her longtime love, "I call him 'a mad midnight shopper' because the most obscure objects show up the next day — like weird balls to massage his feet, toothbrushes, a house, nine motorcycles… literally. It's never boring!"

Thanks to his role in "Boogie Nights," Mark Wahlberg's privates are a part of Hollywood history. The A-list actor donned a prosthetic to portray extremely well-endowed adult film actor Dirk Diggler in the 1997 drama, and during an appearance on the April 12 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," he revealed that 25 years later, he still has the prosthetic. "It's in a safe locked away," he said. "It's not something I could leave out — all of a sudden my kids are looking for the spare phone charger and pull that thing out and go, 'What the heck is this?!' It wouldn't be a good look." He's previously joked that he planned to auction off the prosthetic for charity. No doubt it's worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. How many people can say that?!

On May 11, Adele took to Instagram to confirm a January rumor that she snapped up Sylvester Stallone's Beverly Hills estate — which the actor affectionately dubbed The House that Rocky Built. "Time flies," she captioned a slideshow of photos including a shot of herself and boyfriend Rich Paul posing in front of their new home holding up a set of keys. According to TMZ, she dropped $58M on the 3.6-acre property, which features a six-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion with a gym, a sauna and steam room, a cigar room, an art studio and a theater, plus a two-story guest house, an eight-car garage, an infinity pool and a putting green.

On July 20, 2022, DailyMail.com shed some light on the extreme measures Kim Kardashian took to fly under the radar while visiting now-ex Pete Davidson in Australia earlier that month. "This is the 1% of time that she doesn't want to have to worry about getting glammed up and just wants to switch off. She's just here to spend time with Pete and has no plans on leaving the hotel. It's a very low-key trip and she doesn't want to be bothered. Kim is happy to say 'hi' to you if you bump into her, but she definitely doesn't want to get her photograph taken on this trip," a source said. Before the mother of four arrived via private jet, the production company behind Pete's film reportedly asked hotel employees to sign NDAs ensuring that her visit would be kept top-secret. (They also allegedly warned that asking Kim for selfies was strictly prohibited.) Kim reportedly used a decoy car — a dirty and decidedly unglamorous 2020 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Wagon with tinted windows — to evade prying eyes while traveling to and from the hotel, which she exited via a loading dock that's typically off limits to guests. (Kim "wasn't pleased" with her basic ride but reportedly "settled" out of necessity.) DailyMail.com reported that while traveling outside the hotel, Kim's security detail took steps to avoid being followed including driving slowly down narrow roads and circling roundabouts multiple times. Perhaps all the hoopla was too much for Pete to bear: He and Kim called it quits just weeks later.

On April 15, Jennifer Garner took to Instagram to share a video of herself getting a special early 50th birthday present from her friends: a surprise visit from Donny Osmond. "My first (pre)birthday surprise was a doozy — the one and only, legend in his own time, object of my childhood adoration and devotion — @donnyosmond showed up to knock my purple socks off. He took an hour and a half of his day to sit with me, sing my favorites, and to give me a master class on how to be a class act. Thank you, Donny," she captioned the clip, which showed her singing with the former teen idol, who also brought her a custom birthday cake reading "13 going on 50" — a nod to her hit rom-com "13 Going on 30." We just have one question: Where do we sign up to book a special visit from Donny?!

A waitress in Queensland, Australia, alleged on TikTok that she had a bizarre experience with Katy Perry when the pop star visited the café where she works on June 20, 2022: "POV: Katy Perry comes into your café and you don't recognize her and argue over a table, then she tips and hugs you for treating her like an everyday person," the waitress captioned a video of herself dancing to Katy's song "E.T." (Paparazzi photos from the encounter do, in fact, show the chart-topping singer looking annoyed while chatting with the waitress at the restaurant's host stand.) Imagine tipping extra every time someone treated you like "an everyday person" at a restaurant!

Only in Hollyweird would you be denied a job based on your astrological sign! According to "Glee" star Heather Morris, who was a backup dancer before she scored a part on the hit FOX series, Jennifer Lopez once eliminated candidates who auditioned to dance with her based on their zodiac signs. "She walks in the room and she said, 'Thank you so much, you guys have worked so hard. By a show of hands if there are any Virgos in the room, can you just raise your hand?'" Heather shared on the Aug. 23 episode of the "JustSayin' with Justin Martindale" podcast. After dancers raised their hands, J.Lo then told them, "Thank you so much for coming," before they they "had to leave after a full day of auditioning for Jennifer Lopez," Heather recalled. Heather admitted she wasn't in the room at the time but defended the claim, explaining that she heard the same anecdote repeated by different dancers. "This is hearsay but true," she said, adding, "When one person says something, could be true [but] when multiple people say something… it's like, 'Oh, that happened.'" She also revealed that auditions would often last eight hours, during which "you're not getting any money" and "people [are] judging you the whole time."

In April, Mark Wahlberg put his Beverly Hills estate on the market for a whopping $87.5 million. The A-list actor purchased the land for $8.25 million in 2009 and built the mansion from the ground up. When asked if she found her hubby's pricey dedication to staying fit annoying, Ciara replied, "No, I'm in it with him."

They also spent time on a yacht in Bora Bora and returned to Necker Island, Richard Branson's luxury private island in the British Virgin Islands, where they got engaged in early 2021. They also spent time in Anguilla, Dubai and London — the reality star's "favorite city in the world," where they celebrated Christmas. She noted on her podcast that she brought eight suitcases with her, and as the trip progressed, she periodically sent clothes she no longer needed back home to the United States. She restocked her honeymoon wardrobe with new purchases, obviously!

Offset gave Cardi B six (yes, SIX!) Chanel bags for Valentine's Day 2022. But that wasn't all… He also filled their home with elaborate floral arrangements including four heart-shaped arches in the living room and a giant heart-shaped sculpture by the pool, which was topped off with rose petals. Rose petals also lined the stairs leading up to their home, trailed through the hallways, made paths to the larger arrangements and covered practically every surface — from tables and countertops to the fireplace and even the mantel. Cardi took to Instagram to show off the floral extravaganza, captioning a slideshow of photos, "My day went like this yesterday. Love you my baby."

No, Keanu Reeves did not donate 70% of his salary from the first "The Matrix" movie to fund leukemia research, as a since-debunked report claimed in early January 2022. But that doesn't mean he's not still ridiculously generous. On Jan. 8, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the beloved actor footed the bill for many members of his inner circle — and members of his wider circle! — to attend the premiere of "The Matrix Resurrections" in San Francisco on Dec. 18, 2021. He reportedly picked up the tab for private jets, accommodations and other gifts for his guests — he even hosted a post-premiere brunch! Chad Stahelski — who previously served as Keanu's stunt double before directing him in all four installments in the "John Wick" franchise — told THR of his famous friend and colleague, "He flew a bunch of us up here. He's incredibly generous. In the audience tonight will be so many people that helped him, from his martial art trainers to jiu-jitsu trainers to hair and makeup to his stunt crew. He makes sure that his friends and family are here. He's epic." No kidding! When asked to comment on his act of generosity, Keanu reportedly demurred, telling THR simply, "Yeah, it's great to be able to share our experiences and lives together." What a gem!
