Ex factor
Scott Disick chose the wrong ally, and it backfired badly. It seems that the reality TV star isn't exactly loving Kourtney Kardashian's very public relationship with Travis Barker, and he felt he had a brother in arms with Younes Bendjima, who dated Kourtney from 2016 to 2018. On Aug. 30, it appears that Scott sent a private message to Younes along with a photo of Kourtney straddling her blink-182 beau on a boat. "Yo is this chick ok!??? Broo like what is this. In the middle of Italy," Scott wrote to Younes, a man he didn't see eye-to-eye with several years ago. Younes replied, "Doesn't matter to me as long as she's happy." He then added the coup de grace: "PS: i aint your bro." The 28-year-old model then posted the private exchange to his Instagram Story for all the world to see. Many people immediately felt that Scott came off like a jealous ex. In his post, Younes added, "Keep the same energy you had about me publicly, privately." As this all played out, Travis seemed to respond on his own Instagram Story, posting an oft-used photo of Ray Liotta laughing during one of his "Goodfellas" scenes. Dear Scott: Keep your friends close, your enemies closer.

Fashion faux pas
Tag, you're it! Jennifer Lopez has long been one of the world's high-fashion mavens, and that's not about to change. The superstar even stole the show with her style this week while attending a Dolce & Gabbana event in Venice, Italy. Jenny from the Block's outfit consisted of floral pants, a custom bustier and a cape. However, as photos from the event were published, fans began noticing Jen's rather embarrassing fashion snafu: She left the price tag on the cape! "But that price tag," one person commented on Twitter. Others laughed at the faux pas. Love may not cost a thing, but how much does the cape cost?

Exploitation belief
A young YouTube star is responding to Pink's belief that the teen's mother is exploiting her. Over the weekend, the Grammy winner tweeted about 14-year-old Piper Rockelle and alluded to bikini images the YouTube star posted to Instagram, photos that were snapped by the teen's mom. "How many kids like Piper Rockelle are being exploited by their parents? And at what point do the rest of us say … 'this isn't okay for a 13 yr old [sic] to be posing in a bikini whilst her MOTHER takes the photo?!?!'" On Aug. 31, Piper, who has 8 million subscribers on YouTube, said she's not being exploited and is simply being a teenage woman. "The first thing I want everyone to know is that my mom doesn't make me do anything," Piper told TMZ. "Quite the opposite, I'm a kid who had a dream and my mom is amazing enough to help me live it out." Piper even doubted that Pink had ever actually watched her videos, and she argued that her bikini shots aren't sexual. They're just bikini photos, she says, nothing more. "I know there are kids who are being taken advantage of and that's a real problem, but I'm not one of them," Piper said of Pink's accusations.
Country couple?
Chase Rice has his eyes on Kristin Cavallari. Multiple reports on Aug. 31 claim the "Very Cavallari" star has been dating the country singer for a few months. "At the moment, it's still casual. It's new," an insider told E! News. "She's been to one of his shows already and they're having fun." Both Chase and Kristin live in the Nashville area, so distance isn't an issue. TMZ said a mutual friend introduced the duo and claimed K. Cav and Chase are "heading toward that territory best described as smitten with each other." After her divorce from former NFL player Jay Cutler, Kristin had a brief romance with comedian Jeff Dye, but they split after five months. Chase is her second post-divorce romance.
No harm, no foul
Two royal staffers who previously claimed Duchess Meghan bullied them are now reversing course, a new report claims. The news of the change of heart comes via a new epilogue included in the book "Finding Freedom." In March, The Times reported that the former "Suits" actress "drove two personal assistants out of" Kensington Palace, where she and Prince Harry previously lived, "and was undermining the confidence of a third staff member." The complaint, apparently made in October 2018, came to light through the couple's then communications secretary, Jason Knauf. Jason claimed various staffers were under pressure from the Duchess, and Harry allegedly begged him not to pursue the complaint. The staffers have now seemingly taken it all back. According to the new epilogue, "sources confirmed that upon discovery of Jason [Knauf]'s email, two of the individuals mentioned in the email asked for any allegations made to HR about their experiences with Meghan to be rescinded."
Dancing into history
Proud. That's what JoJo Siwa felt when she realized that she was about to change history on "Dancing With the Stars." For the upcoming 30th season, the 18-year-old will have a same-sex dance partner, something no celebrity has ever had until now. "When I read the email it was like, 'Would JoJo prefer to dance with a girl or with a boy?' and I was like, 'Wait, that's an option? Let's absolutely do it!' It was a like, 'Whoa, I'm changing the future' [moment], because I have such a kid demographic," she said while co-hosting "Entertainment Tonight" on Aug. 30. "It's making it acceptable, and I love that and I'm so proud of that." JoJo, who came out as LGBTQ earlier this year, has been a dancer her whole life but says ballroom dancing is vastly different from what she's done. "I guarantee you the judges are 100 million percent gonna judge me harder than they do everybody else," she said.
Support situation
In what will surely be seen (perhaps unfairly) as an admonishment of Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon said she didn't have a lot of support after giving birth to daughter Ava in September 1999, just three months after she and Ryan married. "I did not have a lot of support with my first baby and I learned really early, like this is not going to work," Reese said on the "Armchair Expert" podcast. "I tried to muscle through for five months with Ava, just not sleeping and I became delirious." The actress admitted that she was privileged enough to take time off of her career to be with her newborn, but also contended that there's no way she could have worked. Of parenthood, she said, "It's not a one-person job. I would even say it's not a two-person job." Reese and Ryan welcomed son Deacon in October 2003, but the couple went on to divorce in 2007.
Let's talk about it
Shawn Mendes talks the talk… even when he's sleeping! The singer's girlfriend, Camila Cabello, revealed to James Corden that Shawn is a sleep talker, and it is "terrifying." The condition happened a lot during quarantine. "We were going to sleep together every night," she said. "I stay up a little longer than he does; I'll be on my iPad or reading or whatever. He's just, like, one of those people who as soon as he gets into bed and five minutes later [he falls asleep]." He even falls asleep mid-sentence. "I would be reading or something and he would just start sleep-talking and it would scare the s*** out of me," she continued, "because he'd just be like: 'Baby! That! Feels! So! Good!' and then he'd go back to sleep. That is the first thing he ever said when he slept-talked, by the way. I don't know. I was like, 'Thank you? I'm not really doing anything right now.'" Shawn, she said, can sleep with his eyes open. "Can you imagine somebody opening their eyes, looking at you, but you know they're asleep," she said. "Can you imagine the terror of that? I would just be so scared. It's terrifying."
Birthday love
Benji Madden is still his wife's biggest fan. On Aug. 30, the Good Charlotte rocker publicly praised his wife, Cameron Diaz, on her 49th birthday. Alongside a photo of one of his paintings, Benji said, "Happy Birthday to my Wife, you are beautiful in all ways, we are so lucky to have you." Benji and Cameron married in 2015 and announced the arrival of their daughter, Raddix, in January 2020. "What you do who you are day in and day out to the ones you love always true blue," he continued, "hard to put it all in a IG post but I love to have a reason to say it out loud I love you @camerondiaz." Benji's brother, Joel Madden, commented on the post with several heart emojis and said Cam is "the best."
