Model Gigi Hadid's millionaire father claims says she's "self-made"
Ahead of Gigi Hadid's 26th birthday on April 23, her proud father, real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, shared a list of things you might not know about his daughter. On this list, which he posted on social media, the senior Hadid bragged about her worldwide Vogue covers, her acceptance to NYU, her accomplishments in volleyball and equestrian sports and her early days modeling for Baby Guess. However, Mohamed's most surprising claim is that the supermodel — who was seventh on Forbes' list of the world's highest paid models in 2018 with earnings of $9.5 million — is "self-made." Despite her father's vast fortune and mother Yolanda Hadid's wealth and fame as a reality TV star, he says she "never took a single dollar from her parents." The real estate developer has been hyping up his daughter's birthday all week, starting with a carousel of photos on Instagram including the twosome on a yacht when Gigi was a little girl, modeling photos and candid shots of her pregnant and as a new mom. "Let's see some of things she did just in a year," he wrote. "Will start. She was once napping as my baby just few years ago. A Daughter a sister to four, a mother to one cute little Khai and a model Citizen. Happy birthday week my love." He also posted a photo of baby Gigi in a pot on the stove while her father cooked. "You would not remember that I would cook while I was babysitting .. I would put you a pot .. and you would sit there watching me cook," he reminisced. "The sweetest baby you are and you made a sweet baby Khai. Love you my child. And a very happy birthday."

Cassie Randolph publicly acknowledges news of Colton Underwood coming out
Following Colton Underwood coming out as gay last week, his ex, Cassie Randolph, addressed the news in a YouTube vlog. In the video, posted to her channel on Thursday, Randolph immediately addressed the support she's gotten from her fans in the wake of the news. "Regarding the topic in the media that brought my name up this week, I just wanted to let you know that I'm not going to be further discussing it or commenting on it for now," she explained in the vlog which promised a mini tour of her new home. "There's a lot of layers to it, and I just think the best thing for me at this time is to move forward and just focus on going forward," she continued. While Randolph is staying tight lipped for now, she did share that if she decides in the future "to say anything or make a comment at all," her fans will be the first to know. Randolph met Underwood on season 23 of "The Bachelor" which filmed in late 2018. The two ended their relationship in May 2020 with a tumultuous split where Randolph filed a restraining order against the former football player, claiming he was stalking her, harassing her with "unsettling" texts and had been tracking her car. She dropped the restraining order against him in November after the former couple reached a private agreement.

Caitlyn Jenner is running for Governor of California
Caitlyn Jenner is running in a new race: for Governor. The 71-year-old former Olympian revealed on Friday, April 23, that she is running for Governor of California. "I'm in! California is worth fighting for," she announced on Instagram, asking her followers to follow a link in her bio to follow or donate to her campaign. "California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality. But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision," she wrote in a press release. "I have been a compassionate disrupter throughout my life from representing the United States and winning a gold medal at the Olympics to helping advance the movement for equality," she continued. "As Californians, we face a now-or-never opportunity to fundamentally fix our state before it's too late. Taking on entrenched Sacramento politicians and the special interests that fund them requires a fighter who isn't afraid to do what is right. I am a proven winner and the only outsider who can put an end to Gavin Newsom's disastrous time as governor," she wrote, mentioning the current Governor, who is facing a recall effort which is in part due to his response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this month, rumors swirled that the longtime Republican was exploring running for the job, which, if Newsom is ousted, would run until January 2023, when Newsom's current term ends.

Michael Lohan arrested for patient brokering
Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, is in hot water once again. The 60-year-old was arrested for alleged patient brokering, meaning he would bring addicts to Florida drug treatment centers in exchange for illegal kickbacks. Lohan, 60, is one of more than 100 people arrested as part of an investigation into the treatment industry in Palm Beach County. "Mr. Lohan was investigated by our Sober Homes Task Force and he's being charged with receiving kickbacks for referring patients to drug treatment," the state's attorney, Dave Aronberg, explained. "Patient brokering corrupts our health care system because decisions are motivated by greed instead of a patient's needs. This is our Task Force's 117th arrest and will not be our last." According to documents reviewed by NBC News, checks worth over $25,000 were paid to Lohan. Lohan has had his fair share of legal troubles, serving multiple stints in jail and being arrested on charges such as domestic violence, assault, and driving under the influence over the years.

Kevin Bacon says quarantine was a "test" of marriage to Kyra Sedgwick
Stars are just like us! In a new interview, Kevin Bacon explains why quarantine was a "test" of his relationship with wife Kyra Sedgwick. Bacon, who appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Thursday, April 22, opened about his experience with his wife of 32 years. "My wife and I realized that we've been married for a really long time, and quarantine really was an amazing, kind of, test for our marriage because I mean, we were really isolated," the "Footloose" actor explained. "I think after a while we realized that we would kind of have to, even in our place, go away from each other." Bacon explained that the two would separate for much of the day, but meet up periodically for meal time. "We would have breakfast, then she'd basically go to the bedroom, which we called the lair, and she spends a lot of time in her lair. Then she'd text me and say, 'Do you wanna do lunch later?' and I'd say 'sure' and you know, we'd meet in the kitchen, and then she'd go back to the lair," he continued. "And, again, you know, drinks, maybe dinner, whatever. And then we'd get back together in the kitchen and do the same thing all over again." But the two did engage in some more intimate behavior in quarantine. Earlier this year, Bacon detailed to Jimmy Kimmel how he gave his wife an at-home bikini wax.
Justin Theroux explains what kept him sane during his relationship with Jennifer Aniston
Justin Theroux wasn't ready for the intense fame that came with dating, and subsequently marrying, Jennifer Aniston. In a new interview on "Sunday Today", airing in full on April 25, Theroux sat down with Willie Geist, where he opened up about his meteoric rise to tabloid fame 10 years ago. "I think part of me was like, I'm essentially sort of a character actor and a writer, there's not much there," he said, emphasizing his surprise with the level of attention. "Jason Bateman actually once gave me one of the most sage pieces of advice ever when all that was kind of going on," Theroux explained of the actor, who would often hang out with him and his then-wife. "He said, 'Look, in that side of the entertainment industry, a character is about to be born and that character is you, but it's not you. That character is angry, that character has got a problem, that character is sweet. It's just this little soap opera that gets written in the margins,'" Theroux recalled of Bateman's advice. "And he said, 'And so my advice is, don't follow that guy's storyline.'" Theroux and Aniston started dating in 2011 and married in August 2015, before separating in late 2017.
