Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers dish on 'cuddle time' and more in adorable new interview
Aaron Rodgers is all about some "cuddle time" with his fiancée, Shailene Woodley. The newly engaged couple was recently interviewed for the web series Walt Disney World Minute while vacationing at Disney World. According to People, they were asked how they like to unwind at the end of the day. While Shailene said she likes, "a bath, maybe a good glass of wine," her future husband admitted, "I was gonna say cuddle time," before amending his response. "But since she went with her own thing, I'm gonna say 'Jeopardy!' and a glass of scotch," said Aaron, who's been guest-hosting the trivia show. Asked what was on their docket while visiting the theme park, Aaron said he planned to share a "kiss in front of the Magic Kingdom, kiss at Pandora," with Shailene. Before signing off, the lovebirds were also asked to share, "one thing that always makes you smile." In response, they simply pointed at each other.

Kerry Washington and more stars are speaking out about the death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, an unarmed Black man who was shot dead by police during a traffic stop in a suburb of Minneapolis on April 11. "Daunte Wright should still be alive," Kerry Washington tweeted on April 12, as the chief of police in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, announced the officer who shot Daunte appeared to have mistaken a handgun for a taser before fatally shooting the young man. "My heart goes out to his family, his friends," Kerry added. "And to all Black people who are tired of waking up to tragedy after tragedy." Padma Lakshmi voiced her anger and sadness on Twitter as well, posting, "Daunte Wright was 20 years old, out driving with his girlfriend in his new car. MN cops pulled him over because he had an air freshener on his rearview mirror- moments later he was shot and killed. Meanwhile white mass shooters are consistently arrested unscathed. Say his name." Rapper The Game, meanwhile, seemed to have been struck by Daunte's age, tweeting, "R.I.P. Daunte Wright…. SMFH Minneapolis police have shot & killed a 20 year old black child over an insurance card." The shooting took place just a few miles from the trial of Derek Chauvin, who knelt on George Floyd's neck for nearly 10 minutes as George hollered that he couldn't breathe and ultimately died last spring. President Joe Biden has also addressed Daunte's death, which he called "tragic." The president also urged protesters to avoid "violence" as people took to the streets. The officer whose shot killed Daunte has reportedly been placed on administrative leave.

As the British royal family mourns the death of Prince Philip, who passed away at age 99 on April 9, Prince Harry arrived in the U.K. over the weekend, marking his first return home since he and Duchess Meghan stepped back from royal life last year. Though the Duke of Sussex will lay low in quarantine at Frogmore House for five days ahead of Philip's funeral on April 17, Harry's arrival has already garnered attention, given questions about the state of his relationship with the rest of his family after his explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. In the special, Harry and Meghan said part of the reason they traded their royal lives for a fresh start in California was tied to "concerns about how dark [their son Archie's] skin would be" once he was born and the family's alleged refusal to allow Meghan to seek mental health treatment when she was severely depressed. Harry also described his relationship with William as "space" in the interview. According to previous reports, Harry's attempted to start conversations about the claims with his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William, but they have yet to see much progress from those talks. More questions arose on April 12 about whether Harry and his brother will be able to heal their apparent rift after the two released separate tributes to their late grandfather, with William praising Philip's life of service to the British Commonwealth and his family as Harry remembered Philip as a "master of the barbecue [and] legend of banter" who was "authentically himself." According to Vanity Fair, Harry and William will walk together behind their dad in next weekend's funeral procession. The outlet also reports Harry was in touch with William and Charles before he flew to the U.K., with a source saying Charles, in particular, is hoping the visit will be an opportunity for the family to heal. Meghan was not cleared to travel by her doctor because of her pregnancy, according to Buckingham Palace.

"The Talk" returned on April 12 after going on hiatus in the wake of an on-air fight between Sheryl Underwood and Sharon Osbourne. Sheryl wasted no time addressing the heated discussion, in which Sharon defended her friend, Piers Morgan, and herself after Piers denied the validity of allegations Duchess Meghan made about the British royals in her interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year. "I feel like I've been in, like, PTSD because it was a trauma," Sheryl said of the fallout, which included Sharon's departure from the show, according to Page Six. "And I feel like I want to get past this because I really wanted to get back to work with my friends and my colleagues and the crew … but I also wanted to get back to the audience," she added. Sheryl went on to say her response to Sharon on the show that day came in part out of a fear of being "perceived as the angry Black woman." Even all these weeks later, Sheryl said she finds it "difficult to go back to that day because I just feel the trauma. I feel fearful, apprehensive." Sheryl also addressed the apology Sharon later said she texted to Sheryl for her behavior, explaining that she was unsure if she could reply because of an internal investigation into claims Sharon had displayed racism previously on "The Talk."
Will Smith, Antoine Fuqua to relocate new film project in protest of Georgia's new voting restrictions
"Emancipation," a slavery-era drama starring Will Smith and directed by Antoine Fuqua, became the first major film production to move its set out of Georgia in protest over the state's restrictive new voting laws on April 12. "At this moment in time, the nation is coming to terms with its history and is attempting to eliminate vestiges of institutional racism to achieve true racial justice," Will and Antoine told the New York Times this week in a statement. "We cannot in good conscience provide economic support to a government that enacts regressive voting laws that are designed to restrict voter access. The new Georgia voting laws are reminiscent of voting impediments that were passed at the end of Reconstruction to prevent many Americans from voting. Regrettably, we feel compelled to move our film production work from Georgia to another state." Based on actual events, the Apple Studios project stars Will as a man who joined the Union army after emancipating himself from a plantation in the South. Though he's denounced the new legislation as "unconstitutional," Tyler Perry, whose Atlanta-area film studio is among the country's largest, has urged studio execs not to relocate planned productions out of Georgia, which currently offers major tax incentives for filming there. Production on "Emancipation" was scheduled to begin this summer, according to the Times.
Vicki Gunvalson denies rumors she's dating a '23 year-old'
There's no truth to the latest split rumors circling Vicki Gunvalson and Steve Lodge. That's according to Vicki, who responded to an Instagram post from the gossip account DeuxMoi on April 11 that claimed the 59-year-old "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum was "not engaged anymore" and was instead "dating a 23 year old dude." "Not true!!!" Vicki wrote in the comments beneath the post (via @commentsbybravo). The denial comes just two weeks after Vicki shared photos of her and Steve in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where she owns a home, according to Page Six. After one fan asked where her engagement ring was in the picture, she replied to say she doesn't travel with the sparkler, which Steve gave her when he proposed back in April 2019. The two have reportedly delayed their wedding repeatedly because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Emmy Rossum was supposed to appear in the 'Shameless' finale
After 11 seasons of "Shameless," the Gallagher family wrapped up its long and popular run on Showtime over the weekend with a finale that notably did not feature longtime star Emmy Rossum. According to showrunner John Wells, you can blame Emmy's absence on the coronavirus pandemic. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on April 11, John explained that despite Emmy's departure from the show in 2018 after what she called the "best" eight years of her life, she wanted to return for the finale. John wanted to see her Fiona character on the set, too. But ongoing COVID-19 shutdowns and restrictions apparently made it impossible. "We were trying to get Emmy — and Emmy wanted to come back… We wanted her to return and had some storylines about her coming back and she wanted to do it," John revealed. "Based on what was going on with the pandemic, when we were planning i t… the quarantines went back into effect between New York [where Emmy lives] and Los Angeles [where 'Shameless' was filmed] and it was impossible to figure out how to get her back." He added that having a finale without her turned out to be his "biggest disappointment" as far as how the show ended.
Harvey Weinstein's lawyers fight his extradition to L.A., citing medical issues
Harvey Weinstein appeared remotely in court from a New York state prison on April 12 after being indicted on 11 charges of rape and sexual assault in Los Angeles. At the hearing, the former producer's lawyers argued against extraditing their client to the West Coast for a trial, citing Harvey's failing health and other issues. The 69-year-old, who's already serving a 23-year sentence for rape and criminal sexual acts, is now "technically blind" and battling serious dental problems after losing four teeth, in addition to suffering from cardiac issues, diabetes, back problems and sleep apnea, his lawyers said, according to Variety. Harvey's attorneys also noted he's due to undergo medical procedures to address both vision and dental matters. They've asked the judge to allow him to stay at the medical unit where he's been recovering. The Los Angeles allegations are tied to Harvey's alleged attacks on five different women. He'll reportedly stay at the New York prison until at least the next hearing in the Los Angeles case, which is scheduled for April 30.
