Justin Bieber reflects on the impact marrying Hailey has had on his creativity and growth
The stability Justin Bieber's found since getting married has been key to his creative process in recent years, the singer told SirirusXM Hits 1 on 1 Tuesday while discussing his new album, "Justice," on Tuesday, March 22. "… Prioritizing my family [has been helpful] … I never had a consistent family life," he explained, according to People. "It was kind of all over the place growing up. So, finally having that predictability and reliability [with Hailey Bieber], someone who I love and trust, has been so monumental." Justin and Hailey legally tied the knot in 2018, while the pop star was a hiatus from music as he dealt with physical and mental health-related issues. Now, he told host Nicole Ryan, he's in a better position, both to record new music and to continue evolving, personally. "I think boundaries for me have been so pivotal in my growth as a human," he said when asked about his approach to self-care these days. Part of that is "knowing when to say 'no' to certain things," he added. Taking charge of that detail alone, Justin said, "has been so helpful in my growth." Those boundaries circle back to Hailey, too. "[For example, being able to say], 'Hey, I'm going to turn off at this time … I'm not gonna make certain decisions past 6 p.m. I'm just going to spend time with my wife,'" he explained, ".. whether it's watching movies or whatever that looks like."

George Clooney admits the best part of being a dad is teaching his kids to prank their mom
George Clooney has the fun aspects of pandemic parenting down pat. This is not necessarily good news for his wife, Amal Clooney, who's spent much of the past year practicing international human rights law from home while George keeps on eye on their 3-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander. "My whole job, really, is to teach them terrible things," George jokes to Hoda Kotb in a teaser clip from her upcoming interview with the Oscar winner (via ET). "I really do enjoy teaching my children to do things that shock their mother," he continues. It seems George — who previously revealed a prank he taught Alexander in which the toddler pretends a mushed banana is a recently used Kleenex, then, to his mother's horror, eats the contents of said Kleenex — has a number of gross practical jokes in his arsenal that can be easily performed by 3-year-olds. The example he gives to Hoda features a diaper and a schmear of Nutella … You can imagine the gory details. George notes that this is a good stunt to pull when Amal is "having very serious conversations" with a "judge on a trial in the Sudan or a trial in Myanmar." And he says it's not just Alexander handling prank duties anymore. "My daughter has now picked up the mantle," says George. "She used to think it was really gross, all the things we did, but then she saw how many laughs Alexander got and now she's taken it up, too." Asked about Amal's reaction, George says, "She's like, 'Really? That's what they learned today?' And I'm like, 'Well, you know.' The worst thing you can do is leave me alone with them for a long period of time because the things they learn are just horrific." The full interview airs Thursday on "Today."

Riz Ahmed reveals hilarious exchange with cousins about his Oscar nomination
What does it take to impress Riz Ahmed's family? More than an Oscar nomination, apparently … Last week, "The Sound of Metal" star made history when he became the first Muslim ever nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award for his turn as a rock drummer who loses his hearing. The film — which is up for six Oscars, including Best Picture — sees Riz's character, a recovering addict, wrestle with depression and more as he tries to accept his new reality. On Tuesday, however, Riz revealed the very different kind of struggle he faces in real life: The struggle to convince his cousins his Oscar nomination is kind of a big deal. "My cousin Adnan legit didn't know what the Oscars were. [He said] 'Why all the gas? I won best client engagement award for the financial quarter,'" Riz tweeted. "Other cousin steps in," he continued. "'Na it's not as big as that, cos he didn't win anything. It's more like getting an email from your boss.' Thanks, boss." Tough crowd!
Dr. Oz kicks off 'Jeopardy!' guest-hosting tenure as fans call for two-week boycott
Despite a petition in which nearly 600 former "Jeopardy!" contestants voiced their opposition to Dr. Mehmet Oz coming on board as a guest host in the wake of Alex Trebek's death last year, the controversial TV personality kicked off his two-week tenure on Monday. The response on Twitter was … "not good" — and that's a direct quote. "His hosting is not good. His reading is not good. Oh, and his uninformed views on 'medicine' are very not good," wrote one angry "Jeopardy!" fan Monday night. "I'll rejoin in two weeks," the person added. Others echoed those sentiments, with many taking aim at the doctor's controversial history of promoting unfounded theories and, as multiple users put it, "dangerous pseudoscience," as medical advice. In the past year, Dr. Oz has come under fire for advocating for the use of the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine as a cure for COVID-19, making such statements on Fox News in March 2020. (By June, the FDA had determined the the drug is not an effective "cure" for the often deadly virus; Oz has since apologized.) Oz has also faced backlash over his seeming promotion of gay conversion therapy and his role in the proliferation of weight loss product scams, among other things. In their petition, the show's former contestants point out that the long-running trivia series is, "known for being incredibly rigorous," recalling how they'd all seen "writers and judges frantically cross-reference answers in real time to make sure that the facts are accurate" whenever doubt was cast on a bit of information. "To then invite Dr. Oz to guest-host is a slap in the face to all involved," they concluded. Judging from the #BoycottJeopardy hashtag that trended on Twitter Monday, a large swath of viewers agreed. None of that stopped Oz from trying to connect with viewers Monday. "One of my favorite memories was of Alex showing me, with immense pride, a room full of letters of support and love for him from you, from his fans," he said. Yahoo! reports Monday's episode raised $23,001 for Dr. Oz's teen health-focused charity, HealthCorps.

Ellen DeGeneres lost 1 million viewers after toxic workplace scandal
Cancel culture is no joke. After a scandal over alleged workplace toxicity took over much of Ellen DeGeneres' past year, the daytime TV staple has lost more than 1 million viewers, the New York Times reported this week. Citing Nielsen ratings results, the outlet also pointed out that while her new season's premiere scored the highest ratings she's seen for a premiere in four years, those ratings dropped significantly after she gave the public apology that most people following the workplace scandal knew was coming. In the last six months, the comic's eponymous show has reportedly averaged 1.5 million viewers — rather than the 2.6 million viewers average she saw one year prio.
