Ryan Reynolds has some explaining to do. On Friday, March 12, the Instagram account for Cinephile Club shared a "Deadpool" "fun fact" confirming that Brad Pitt filmed a secret cameo for "Deadpool 2." According to the post, Ryan revealed Brad only asked for a cup of coffee as his fee for the, "surprising blink-and-you-miss-it appearance as the meta-superhero's ally known as The Vanisher." Blake — ever on the lookout for opportunities to troll Ryan — promptly chimed in on the tidbit about his secret, easy-on-the-eyes co-star. "Weird… ," she wrote, via CommentsByCelebs. "My husband didn't invite me to set that day." A fair jab, given Ryan's Valentine's Day troll, in which he praised Blake as his "forever valentine for the foreseeable future."

Selena Gomez dismisses Aaron Dominguez romance rumors
While promoting her new Spanish language EP, "Revelacion," Selena Gomez addressed romance rumors that recently hit her and actor Aaron Dominguez after the two were photographed snuggling up to one another in New York City. And sorry, Selenators — Selena is still very much single (and happy about it). "We had just started working together," Selena tells the Los Angeles Times of her relationship (or lack thereof) with Aaron. "I honestly thought, 'No wonder guys don't want to date me!' I think people only care because I'm young, and the older I get the less they'll care. For now it's a part of the job that I don't really like," she explained, adding, "I'm actually grateful that I'm not involved with anyone right now." Selena, 28, also told the Times that while she feels tremendous empathy for Britney Spears given the public's interest in her own personal life, she can't bring herself to check out the new documentary, "Framing Britney Spears." "I've seen so much, and it feels violating for me to watch something like that," she said. "I couldn't even imagine. I have nothing but sympathy for her, and I'm happy as long as she is healthy and happy."

Emmanuel Acho says he and Chris Harrison have 'spoken at length' ahead of 'Bachelor' finale
Next week, former NFL star and "Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man" host Emmanuel Acho, will cover for Chris Harrison on "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose," after Chris announced he's "stepping aside" amid controversy over his defense of racist photos involving contestant Rachael Kirkconnell. In the meantime, Emmanuel has been in touch with Chris about his comments and how he can move forward. "Chris and I have spoken at length over the last two weeks. Very helpful, very good conversations. Before I was even named host of 'After the Final Rose,' and we've just had positive dialogue," Emmanuel told Rachel Lindsay on "Extra" this week. He went on to say he hopes Chris is given the chance "to do the work" to become more aware of his own biases, and added that the public then needs to "receive the work he does." As for his own goals for the show, Emmanuel said he's focused on reconciling and "understanding" rather than continuing to add to the "tension" regarding Rachael and the photos. He said he also wants to "honor Matt and his journey of love" at a time when that's being "overshadowed by him being the first Black Bachelor." Looking ahead, it's unclear if or when Chris will come back to the franchise, though he said on "Good Morning America" that he does plan to return. According to TMZ's sources, it doesn't look like that will happen during the upcoming season of "The Bachelorette," though. The new cast and crew are reportedly quarantining in New Mexico now, without Chris.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez call off engagement
Two years after they got engaged, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reportedly split. "This has been a long time coming," an insider told People on Friday, March 12, after Page Six reported the longtime couple had called it quits. "They are tied in their business worlds so it's not a cut and dry break up. It's taken a while for them to even think about untangling it all," the People source added. The surprise breakup comes after rumors Alex had taken to FaceTiming with "Southern Charm" star, Madison LeCroy. In recent interviews, Jennifer revealed the two had attended couples therapy in recent months, though she didn't mention the reality star rumors. "The Madison LeCroy scandal was the reason they finally broke up," an insider told Page Six. "There were already problems, but Jennifer was really embarrassed by it." Alex and Jen had previously pushed back their wedding twice, seemingly because of the coronavirus pandemic. The former Yankees star is reportedly now in Miami preparing to cover the spring MLB season. Jennifer, meanwhile, is filming a new movie in the Dominican Republic.
Hugh Grant reveals why he cheated on Liz Hurley with sex worker Divine Brown
For a large chunk of the mid-'90s, the name Hugh Grant was synonymous with two things — the film, "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and the actor's 1995 arrest on Sunset Boulevard, where he was caught in a car with sex worker Divine Brown, in spite of being in a serious relationship with Elizabeth Hurley. At the time, he said in a public apology that what he did was "completely insane," without explaining much more. This week on Marc Maron's podcast, the actor, now 60, revealed it was largely self-doubt and insecurity that sparked what became one of Hollywood's most notorious cheating scandals. "I was about to launch my first Hollywood film – my timing was impeccable," Hugh joked, referring to "Nine Months," his first of many rom-coms. "My problem was – that was my first Hollywood film and I'd just been to see it. The film was about to come out a week or two after that, and I had a bad feeling about it. I went to see a screening. Everyone in it was brilliant, but I was so atrocious that I was not in a good frame of mind." Hugh continued, "I had a Ken Russell kind of lunch – and one thing led to another. I just was disappointed in myself. I don't know what was going on." The film was a hit, despite Hugh's concerns about his performance. "The film did all right at the box office, in fact I think it did quite well, and that's all Hollywood really cares about," Hugh said. The actor was ordered to pay a fine and take an AIDS education program as a result of his arrest, and as he told Marc, he eventually got to a point where he could feel proud of his acting, though that wouldn't really sink in until after he stopped agreeing to star in romantic comedies. Hugh's relationship with Liz Hurley has a happy ending, as well — the two continued dating until 2000 and are still close friends today. Hugh's also the godfather of the supermodel's son Damian, 18.
Mandy Moore shares her son's 'harrowing' yet gratifying birth story
For new mom, Mandy Moore, giving birth to her son August was an "intense … grueling … harrowing" experience — and she "can't wait to do it again." The "This Is Us" star, who welcomed "Gus" with husband Taylor Goldsmith on Feb. 20, reflected on giving birth on the latest edition of Dr. Elliot Berlin's "Informed Pregnancy Podcast," revealing how different the whole labor process was from what she expected. Mandy, 36, wanted to have an unmedicated home birth, she shared, but things went south in the first few hours and she was forced to travel a long way to the nearest hospital in the middle of the night. By that point, she wanted an epidural, she recalled, but she started losing platelets too fast to make that safe. She also said she thought labor would be more "participatory," with other people in the room helping her out, according to People. Instead, she realized quickly she was on her own. "It's like you're on this trip, you're on this acid trip or something. I was in my own head, doing my own thing," she shared. "It was my own narrative, my own story and everybody else was just in the background." She went on to share how, after hours of pushing, the baby's heart rate began to drop. The obstetrician announced he would be putting a "vacuum" on the baby's head and instructed Mandy to push harder than she's ever pushed while he pulled. "And I was just like, what?" she recalled. "It all happened so quickly. It was, one second everything was fine and then the next second it was like, this is happening. And literally I pushed harder than I had. And it went from no baby to a full body out in seconds …. Without even batting an eye, someone put him on my chest, he had a little hat on and it was just so unexpected. I was so confused," she continued. "I've never felt this kind of love. It was like the world stopped again, and you're not aware of anything else that's going on. That's why the tearing, all of it, it doesn't exist. It doesn't matter." Mandy added that she now says to Taylor and "anyone who will listen, 'I can't wait to do it again.'" She explained, "It's a hard feeling to describe, but I can look back now with such affection and fondness for myself and what that experience was, because it brought me Gus. It brought me this child who is my whole world now. And I'm so grateful for it."
Prince Harry and Prince William still plan to reunite this summer in honor of Princess Diana: Report
Despite the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William — and, perhaps, the extended royal family — the brothers are expected to reunite this summer for the unveiling of a statue of their mother, Princess Diana. That's according to royal family expert Russell Myers, who announced on the British morning show "Loraine" on Friday, March 12, that Harry plans to return to London from California for the event. "I can exclusively reveal that William is still committed, as is Harry, to get together on July 1 for the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue at Kensington Gardens," the expert said, according to the New York Post. "This could be a monumental period for the brothers," he noted. William, who challenged Harry's allegations that his family made racially charged comments and, in his father's case, stopped taking Harry's calls, when he got serious with Duchess Meghan. Responding to a question sparked by Harry and Meghan's recent sit-down with Oprah, William told a reporter on Wednesday, March 10, "we are very much not a racist family." Harry and William worked together to commission the Diana statue in 2017 as a memorial in recognition of the 20th anniversary of her death in 1997. They plan to share it with the public on July 1, which would have been her 60th birthday, the Post reports.
Holly Robinson Peete weighs in on Sharon Osbourne's apology for defending Piers Morgan
Sharon Osbourne apologized on social media this week after defending Piers Morgan, who quit his "Good Morning Morning Britain" post over backlash related to his refusal to believe Duchess Meghan's account of her mental health struggles during her first pregnancy. "I am with you. I stand by you," Sharon tweeted at Piers. While discussing his explosive departure from the show and his controversial comments on "The Talk," Sharon also demanded her Black co-host Sheryl Underwood define racism. Neither of these things went over too well with viewers, according to ET. And while Sharon eventually apologized — "I felt panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive & allowed my fear & horror of being accused of being racist take over," she posted — the mea culpa rang hollow with some people, including Sharon's former co-host, Holly Robinson Peete. "I'm old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too 'ghetto' for #theTalk…then I was gone," Holly tweeted on Friday, March 12. "I bring this up now bc I was mortified watching the disrespectful condescending tone she took w/her co host who remained calm & respectful because…she HAD to. 🤦🏽♀️ 🤷🏽♀️…" Holly's contract was not renewed in 2012, nor was Leah Remini's. Holly has said she still has no idea why she was let go; Leah tweeted in 2012 that she believes Sharon had her and Holly fired, claims Sharon has denied. In her apology, Sharon also clarified that she was defending Piers' right to voice his opinion. "Please hear me when I say I do not condone racism, misogyny or bullying," she wrote. "I should have been more specific about that in my tweet. I will always support freedom of speech, but now I see how I unintentionally didn't make that clear distinction." Piers has since demanded an apology from "The Talk."
Sam Smith releases statement on gender-based Brit Awards categories ahead of 2021 event
In 2019, Sam Smith came out as non-binary and began using the pronouns they/them. Around the same time, the organization behind the Brit Awards was said to be interested in scrapping the annual ceremony's gendered categories for the 2021 event. But reports published this week by The Sun and NME indicate the change won't happen this year, which seems to have sparked Sam to address the matter with a public statement. "The Brits have been an important part of my career, one of my earliest achievements was winning Critics Choice in 2014," the singer tweeted on Thursday, March 11. "Music for me has always been about unification not division," they continued. "I look forward to a time where awards shows can be reflective of the society we live in. Let's celebrate everybody, regardless of gender, race, age, ability, sexuality and class." As of Friday, reps for the Brit Awards had not replied to a request for comment from Billboard. The annual pop music honors are slated for May 11, having been postponed from February because of the pandemic.
