John Mayer says he's ready to start a family
John Mayer is finally ready to give up his bachelorhood after a string of high-profile romances with the likes of Jessica Simpson — who wrote about their tumultuous relationship in her 2020 memoir — as well as Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. During an interview with his pal Andy Cohen for the latest edition of SiriusXM's "Andy Cohen Live," John, 43, was asked what remains his life's bucket list. "There's one thing left and that's wife and kids," he said, per People. "… That would complete all of it. And I thought about this as recently as last night. 'Cause my brothers are both married and have children." The singer-songwriter went on to joke that he's finally, "tummy sore from all the frosting I've eaten off the cake of life," and feels like the time to settle down is when a person is, "done playing with your toy of me and my life and my thing." And John is apparently done with all of that. "I've come to a point in my life where, with this stuff, I'm not fatigued completely, but my hands are on my knees a little bit and I'm going, 'OK, I definitely explored the life of what can be done for me, by me," he said, adding that he "would never want to have a wife and kids" while he was still in that exploratory phase of his life.

Will Kim Kardashian document her divorce from Kanye West in new Hulu series?
As the dust settles after Kim Kardashian's divorce filing from Kanye West on Friday, Feb. 19, the Daily Mail points out fans could end up watching Kim and Kanye's marriage come to an end on both the final season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and the Kardashian-Jenner family's upcoming series for Hulu and Star, due out in late 2021 as part of the Kardashian-Jenner family's new multi-year deal to create "global content" for the Disney networks. "KUWTK," which premieres next month, wrapped filming for Season 20 in January, leaving room for cameras to access just about everything but Kim's actual court filing. Kim, meanwhile, reportedly spent the weekend with family. "Although Kim and Kanye have been separated for months, it was still emotional for Kim to actually file for divorce," a source tells People. "She spent the weekend taking care of herself and her kids. She is spending time with her mom, sisters and hasn't been working." There are reportedly no hard feelings or "drama" between Kim and Kanye, though. "Kim is mostly just disappointed that they couldn't figure out how to stay married," the insider says, adding that Kim felt her estranged husband was "not willing to do the hard work and compromise" in order to save their marriage. The two have reportedly agreed to seek joint legal and physical custody of their four children.

Chris Noth weighs in on reports he won't join cast of 'SATC' reboot
Hmm, got somethin' to tell us, Mr. Big? Over the weekend, Chris Noth seemed to hint he could reprise his "Sex and the City" role in the upcoming reboot, "And Just Like That …" In the comments below a snowy photo of a fox Chris spotted out his window, a number of fans bemoaned that there will reportedly be "no MR BIG" in the new series, with one person asking, "why, Chris why?" Assuming their information came from a recent Page Six report claiming he'd been shut out of the cast, the actor responded, "Everything changes — including announcements in the rags." When another commenter urged him to "reconsider" and find a way to join the cast, Chris teased, "Well, if Page Six says it … it must be true 😉." Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York) are all set to return for the 10-episode series, while Kim Cattrall's disinterest in revisiting her Samantha Jones character (not to mention her working relationship with SJP) has made headlines for months. According to Page Six, David Eigenberg, who played Miranda's partner Steve Brady on the original show, will not appear in the reboot, either.

Demi Lovato feels 'free' and more 'authentic' with short hair
For Demi Lovato, long hair was a shield she used to hide her body. Now that it's super short, she feels "more like myself," she told Ellen DeGeneres on the Monday, Feb. 22, edition of "Ellen." "I feel so free. I feel more authentic to who I am. I also feel like I used to hide behind my hair," said Demi, who premiered her shorter look last fall."It would cover my body. So when I started doing all this work on myself, I thought, 'What is something that I've been holding onto my whole life that I need to let go of?' And it was that. I feel more myself now." Demi's been candid about her struggles with an eating disorder and substance abuse issues for years. All of those battles figure prominently in her forthcoming docu-series, "Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil." "What's great is we live in a time where nobody's perfect, and we're not gonna get role models by watching people not make mistakes," she said after marveling about all the "love and support" she's been shown since speaking out about her troubles past. "We're going to meet and learn from our role models who have overcome their deepest, darkest struggles," she added.
Ava DuVernay comments on lack of Black voting members in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association
Ava DuVernay's not shocked that the organization behind the Golden Globes, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, has zero Black voting members — she's shocked this is news to anyone. Responding to a post about the Los Angeles Times' investigation of the HFPA that ran over the weekend, the "Selma" director asked, "Reveals? As in, people are acting like this isn't already widely known? For YEARS?" "Watchmen" star Regina King was apparently thinking the same thing when she saw the headline because she responded to Ava's comment with a GIF of Drake smiling and pointing at the camera, bull's eye-style. The Times piece levied other claims against the HFPA as well, though the fact that not one of the 87, mostly foreign journalist voters is Black casts a new perspective on reactions to this year's Globes snubs. As EW points out, for example, one of the major Black-led films in this year's crop of potential nominees is a Best Picture contenders. "We do not control the individual votes of our members," an HFPA rep told the Times, adding that the organization aims, "to build cultural understanding through film and TV and recognize how the power of creative storytelling can educate people around the world to issues of race, representation, and orientation." A rep is also quoted in the story as saying the HFPA is "committed to addressing" its own diversity situation. The 78th Annual Golden Globes Awards airs Sunday, Feb. 28.

Wilmer Valderrama is a dad! Over the weekend, Wilmer and his fiancee, model Amanda Pacheco, announced on social media that they'd welcomed their first child on Feb. 15. "Life is an ever evolving journey, and for all those times when our path needs a light.. often angels are sent to show us the way and that we can be more.. straight out of heaven we welcome our first daughter… #ItsJustUs3Now 02/15/2021," he wrote alongside a gallery of pics of the couple and their little one. Kris Jenner poised to launch her own beauty, skincare lines
Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West could soon have some new competition in the beauty and skincare markets — from their own mother. People reports Kris Jenner recently filed to trademark the names "Kris Jenner Beauty," "Kris Jenner Skin" and "Kris Jenner Skincare," presumably for a brand she's launching. Though the "momager" has yet to make an announcement, the trademarks would apply to products including cosmetics, skincare, nail care products, fake eyelashes, hair care products and fragrances, according to the outlet. Kylie's wildly successful Kylie Cosmetics and Kim's KKW Beauty are currently both owned in part by Coty. It's unclear whether Kris will also work with the beauty giant, but she did sell her mansion in Hidden Hills to the daughter of Coty, Inc. CEO Peter Harf last year …
James Franco's former students agree to drop sexual misconduct claims in settlement
Two women who filed a sexual misconduct suit against James Franco in 2019 have agreed to drop their individual claims as part of a settlement that was reached earlier this month. Claims involved in the class action aspect of the suit will also be dismissed, though they can be refiled against the actor in the future, according to the New York Times. The news comes via a joint status report filed in Los Angeles on Feb. 11. Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, former students of the star who attended his now-defunct acting school, Studio 4, first went public with allegations James sexually exploited them on Twitter after spotting a #TimesUp pin on his lapel at the 2018 Golden Globes. They filed suit the next year, alleging he, "intimidated them into performing gratuitous sex scenes while denying them the protections of nudity riders," among other things, while they were students at his school, according to the Times. More women soon came forward with similar claims, all of which James has denied. "If there's restitution to be made, I will make it," the actor told Stephen Colbert in 2018. "I'm here to listen and learn and change my perspective where it's off," he added. As of Monday, Feb. 22, neither James nor his reps had responded to the Times or other outlets requesting a comment.
Woody Allen, Soon-Yi Previn slam new HBO doc on Dylan Farrow abuse allegations
Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn are calling HBO's "Allen v. Farrow" docu-series a "hatchet job riddled with falsehoods" following the premiere of the first episode on Sunday, Feb. 21. The series aims to document Dylan Farrow's claim her father, Woody Allen, sexually abused her during her early childhood — which the director has long denied. The documentary features interviews with Dylan and her mother, Mia Farrow, as well as friends and family members including Ronan Farrow. Home movie footage, court documents, police evidence, videotape and audio tapes also pop up in the series, the first episode of which focuses on how Woody's allegedly groomed Dylan. Later episodes tackle Woody's relationship with his current wife, Soon-Yi Previn, who was Mia's adoptive daughter when the actress and director were still a couple. "These documentarians had no interest in the truth. Instead, they spent years surreptitiously collaborating with the Farrows and their enablers to put together a hatchet job riddled with falsehoods," Woody and Soon-Yi said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter via their rep. "Woody and Soon-Yi were approached less than two months ago and given only a matter of days 'to respond.' Of course, they declined to do so," the statement continues. "As has been known for decades, these allegations are categorically false. Multiple agencies investigated them at the time and found that, whatever Dylan Farrow may have been led to believe, absolutely no abuse had ever taken place. It is sadly unsurprising that the network to air this is HBO – which has a standing production deal and business relationship with Ronan Farrow. While this shoddy hit piece may gain attention, it does not change the facts." In the first episode of "Allen v. Farrow," Mia says she participated in the documentary for Dylan and says her failure to be "perceptive enough" to protect her daughter remains "the great regret" of her life. "It's my fault," she says. "I brought this guy into our family. There's nothing I can do to take that away."
