Cody Simpson needed a haircut amid the coronavirus pandemic and Miley Cyrus was happy to take over. On Thursday, April 2, the 23-year-old posted a video of his girlfriend of six months shaving his head on Instagram with a time lapsed video. "Buzzin. Clean cuts for clean oceans I say!" the Australian captioned the clip, which was set to the song "Buzzin" by Shwayze. Shortly before posting the photo, he asked his followers in a separate Instagram post, "Should I buzz it?" 4ocean, an organization which facilitates ocean and coastline cleanups, suggested he buzz it for a good cause. "Clean heads for clean oceans!" he wrote, shortly before Cyrus took over with the clippers.

Taylor Swift donates $3,000 to a fan in need
Taylor Swift has donated to another fan who is hurting due to the coronavirus. On Wednesday, April 1, Jess Buslewicz, a college sophomore who had to leave school and lost her babysitting and on-campus job, received $3,000 from Swift. Buslewicz, whose mother also lost her job as a travel agent, recently posted on her Taylor Swift-dedicated Tumblr about her family's struggles and asked for help via Venmo or PayPal. To her surprise, Swift answered the call. "Jess, I saw your post about everything you're going through, I'm sorry you lost your campus job. I can see that this situation has caused you intense anxiety and I hope this gift of $3,000 will help and that you and your mom are healthy and safe. Sending you hugs, Taylor," the singer wrote in her PayPal message, adding that this was not an April Fool's Day joke. Swift has also donated to at least one other fan and has been helping keep a Nashville record store afloat amid the pandemic.

Harry Styles shares his quarantine activities
Harry Styles checked in with "The Morning Mash Up" on Sirius XM Hits 1 this week and shared what he's been doing in isolation. "I'm with people who have real jobs, so they're working…which leaves me with not a real job, doing kind of whatever. I'm reading a lot, doing a lot of writing, trying to exercise, trying to be outside," the 26-year-old shared. "And then we kind of all get together in the evening and watch a film," he explained. Styles also chatted with Demot O'Leary on Radio 2 on Friday, April 3, about quarantine. "I think this is my day 17 in lockdown. I was supposed to be home a couple of weeks ago but obviously the flying had gotten a bit strange so I'm in LA at the moment," he said, adding he's been speaking to his family more than ever. "We're speaking pretty much every day. Me, [my mom] and my sister get on like a big group, FaceTime and so I check in with my family in the morning and then it's been quite nice actually." Styles also discussed his coping mechanism, which, for him, means thinking about quarantine like touring. "Well I think it's kind of like when I'm touring, even though you're in different places every day, I do the exact same thing every day," the former One Direction band member said. "While it feels like there wouldn't be a routine, I actually have a pretty strict routine when I'm touring. So I'm kind of just trying to lean into that part of it, rather than feel locked inside and stuff, I'm trying to lean into more of the like, oh, I get up at this time and then I do this at this time."

Jennifer Aniston doesn't find isolation a challenge
Jennifer Aniston admits that the stay at home order has been easy for her to follow. On an episode of Jimmy Kimmel's at home "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Thursday, April 2, Aniston realized she had been home for three weeks. "I'm a born agoraphobe," the 51-year-old admitted. "This is kind of a dream — not a dream, it's obviously a nightmare. But, me personally, it's not been that much of a challenge." Aniston, who has found challenges in watching and digesting the news, has been using this time to do household chores, like the dishes and reorganizing. "Not only are you doing your dishes, but you're washing your hands," she said of her new favorite thing. "I was a crazy person the first week, and then I realized I had to pull back because I was going to run out of closets," she joked. "Thirty more days! I've got to pace myself." After catching up with Kimmel, he and Aniston surprised a furloughed nurse in Utah who contracted the coronavirus. Aniston thanked her for her service and gifted her with a $10,000 gift card, courtesy of Postmates.

Chrissy Metz makes musical debut with new song
Chrissy Metz has released a song, "Talking to God." The "This Is Us" actress, whose character on the show has dabbled in music, released her new song on Friday, April 3. The song will be part of her upcoming debut album. "'Talking To God' is a song about those moments when we ask the questions we desperately want the answers to. Whether it's a lost love or why our own lives look much different than the way we had hoped they would. It's about those personal prayers and conversations we have while listening and learning to surrender and trust in the bigger picture," the 39-year-old actress says of the tune. Last summer, she spoke to Access about her foray into music. "I have been writing for the past year, whenever I have time I go to Nashville and have been doing some songwriting," she explained, noting that she has been inspired by Chris Stapleton, Sara Bareilles and Bonnie Rait.
Teresa Giudice has officially started divorce proceedings
Teresa Giudice is moving on, according to her brother Joe Gorga. Gorga appeared on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" on Thursday, April 2, and opened up about the latest on his 47-year-old sister and her estranged husband, who was deported to Italy last year. "Paperwork is almost done," he confirmed during the interview. Gorga also cleared up that his sister was not yet dating. Divorce may be the least of Giudice's problems though, as her father, Giacinto Gorga, passed away on April 3. "My father, my protector, my hero, God took you early this morning to be with mommy, I saw you peacefully pass & I know you kept fighting for my daughters and I," Giudice posted on Instagram. "I have so many amazing thoughts of you, every day seeing you in the kitchen at my home, teaching my girls to cook, my partner in crime on shopping trips, your love of the shore & my travel buddy. You always wanted everyone to have a good time, eat great food, have a stiff drink and enjoy life. You are the absolute strongest man I know & I know you missed mommy so much but you stayed for us. No bad blood here. The final two women who competed for Peter Weber's heart on last season of "The Bachelor," chatted over Instagram Live on Thursday, April 2. Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett have gotten back in touch following Sluss' short-lived engagement with Weber and Prewett's brief attempt at rekindling her relationship with the pilot. The two had a brief discussion on the social media platform where they talked about social distancing, the dessert's their moms make and how their dads should be friends. They closed out the Live with a brief discussion about their faith and how it is getting them through this time. "I know we always connected with our faith," Sluss said, as she referred to a Bible passage she has written on a bracelet she wears. "It's all about trusting God and having Him as your foundation and that's something that's been helping me as my reminder."
Amy Poehler is watching "Parks and Recreation" with her kids
During a virtual appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Amy Poehler shared that her sons, Archie and Abel, are watching her NBC comedy, "Parks and Recreation" for the first time. "That is pretty cool," the 48-year-old said of her show, which ran from 2009 to 2015. "It's really sweet. I've been texting the cast to show them videos of the boys watching the show, which is awesome. And I don't just say this because I'm on it, it is such a good show to watch right now because it makes you feel good and it's about a bunch of people working together to solve problems." Poehler went on to say that her kids have been asking what happens on the show. "I'm like, 'I don't know. I don't remember.' I don't remember any of it! It's one long blur," she admitted, adding it was fun to watch again since she can't remember the stories episode to episode.

After more than 10 years together, Gone West bandmates Colbie Caillat and Justin Young have parted ways. The couple, who got engaged in 2015, share the news of their split on Instagram. "This is difficult for us to share, but we want to be honest with you all. After 10 wonderful years, Justin and I have ended our relationship. We started out as best friends and we will continue to be best friends. And we will continue to work and make music together, as we always have," the 34-year-old "Bubbly" singer wrote. "It will be hard, but often times the hard choice is the right choice and the path that will allow each of us to move forward and to grow. We continue to be overwhelmed with gratitude for our love and time together." While the two will no longer be a couple, they will still make music together. Jane Fonda brings her workout videos to TikTok
With at-home workouts on the rise, there was no better time for Jane Fonda to bring back her iconic '80s workout videos. The 82-year-old actress took to TikTok to do leg raises for her fans, wearing one of her signature bodysuits, but quickly changed the topic to something even more near and dear to heart than fitness. "You know what, there are too many workouts happening right now on television and on computers," said Fonda, an environmental activist who was repeatedly arrested last fall for her Capital Hill protests. "What I really would like you to do is to work out with me for the planet." She explained to her followers that the climate crisis is "a real emergency" and urged them to join her in virtual Fire Drill Fridays, which were her weekly demonstrations in Washington D.C., where she demanded action be taken to address the current climate emergency.
