Lisa Rinna reveals harrowing tale of her mother's brush with a serial killer
Lisa Rinna is feeling a swell of love for her mom this week. On the Tuesday, April 16, edition of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," Lisa opened up about her mother, Lois' near fatal experience being attacked by the so-called "Trailside Killer," David Carpenter. According to Page Six, the serial killer was originally arrested in 1960 for attempted murder. he was released seven years later, though, and went on a killing spree. Lois was among those who survived. "I was very lucky — I should not even be here," Lois said on her daughter's show this week. Lisa explained how murderer picked up her mother at a bus stop, headed down an empty road and attacked her. "I thought that was it — that I was going 'Bye bye,'" said Lois, who's now 90. He's straddling me, and he had a hammer in one hand, a knife in the other." A military police offer ended up intervening and getting her safely away from his clutches before he could rape and kill her as he had done to other women. Only two of his victims are known to have survived. "I had such great sadness and empathy for my mom, knowing that not only did this happen to her, but that she basically just stuffed those feelings for how many years?" said Lisa. "She never dealt with it. She never even talked about it." She later shared a photo of herself with her parents on Instagram, praising her mom and writing, "I wish my Dad was still with us so he could see my Mom tonight on #RHOBH 😇 I am so proud of my Mom and I know Dad is watching from heaven and is so proud of you Mama! I love you! ❤️"

Mossimo Giannulli says he stole his own college tuition money from his parents
Whoops. It's been weeks since a resurfaced Youtube video showed Lori Loughlin's daughter, Olivia Jade, saying she just wanted "the experience of game days" and "partying" at USC. Interest in the video seems to have waned, thanks to Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli's not guilty plea in the college admissions scandal. A new blog interview with Mossimo, however, is just starting to gain traction — and this one shows it's not his first time cheating when it comes to college. Speaking to the fashion blog, "The Hundreds" in 2016, Mossimo admitted he kept the money his parents thought was paying for his education at USC. "SC was expensive, so that was how I was starting my company. I used all that cash," he said at the time (via Page Six). According to the blog, he lived in a frat house and attended a few classes. The college has since confirmed Mossimo was there in 1984, but he was in a non-degree program (the College of Continuing Education) and had only "visitor status" on campus. Olivia, by the way, confirmed this story, too. During a March 8 appearance on "The Zach Sang Show," she said: "I don't know if I am supposed to say this, sorry dad. But [he] was like never enrolled in college, he faked his way through it. Yeah, so then he started his whole business with tuition money that his parents thought was going to college." Lori and Mossimo entered not guilty pleas after being accused of paying $500,000 to get their daughters into the school. They now face up to 40 years behind bars if found guilty.

"I've done it without stressing on food or working out like crazy although I have been disciplined," Kate wrote. "I've taken my time, I've stayed true to my @ww app which I am so grateful for our relationship and that they included me in their family because it's an incredible set up. Easy as pie!" The soon-to-be 40-year-old's "gratitude post" continued with shout-outs to Fabletics, her sportswear brand, and more love for her "WW community," which she praised for keeping her "focused." "Yes, active lifestyle I find enjoyable and yes, understanding food is a passion of mine but it doesn't mean that I don't need the support like everyone else," she wrote. "Sharing the little parts of my wellness journey with you makes me feel oh so good. I can only hope that what I put out there can make you feel good and bring encouragement in return," she added. "Love, Kate 🙏 PS I ain't done yet! 😜 #NoFilter #AndILoveAFilter 😉."

With Wendy Williams' estranged ex, Kevin Hunter, essentially out as an executive producer for "The Wendy Williams Show" as the two begin hashing out the terms of their divorce, Wendy is taking no chances when it comes to her safety. The show host, who was allegedly abused by Kevin while they were married, has added a number of security guards to her staff, according to a Page Six show insider. Kevin, meanwhile, is reportedly in talks about an exit package. In December, rumors indicated Kevin may have had something to do with Wendy's broken shoulder. Page Six says reps for the show's production company, as well as Wendy and Kevin, did not reply to the tab's request for comment.

Behold, the best response ever to a diner's inquiry as to the regional sourcing of some food product. It seems Anne Hathaway, her husband and Matt Damon happened to be Iceland one time together. Anne was then vegan. Her husband was working on his meat product-free skills. And Matt? He was still a guy from Boston. Here's what happened next, as told by Anne to Tatler for the magazine's June cover story (via JustJared): "We walk into a Michelin-star restaurant and because Matt is the nicest guy he says: 'I'll just have whatever the chef wants to serve me.' And my husband – who had just completed a year of veganism – says, 'Me too,'" she recalled. "I was like: 'Sweetie, he's having a reindeer carpaccio…' So then I was the only chick and I'm the vegan and everyone's just going with the flow. So I asked, 'Is your fish local?' And they said: 'Do you see that fjord?' So I had a piece of salmon and my brain felt like a computer rebooting.'" And just like that, Anne Hathaway rejoined the animal-eating masses.

Yep, Kristin Cavallari confirmed this shocking tidbit on "Watch What Happens Live" on Wednesday, April 17, after a caller asked about the 2006 trip to Paris Whitney Port recently said she never took. "I've never heard that," said Kristin, who joined the show in 2009, "but I can tell you, most of my stuff wasn't real. So I'm gonna take that road and say maybe it's true. I'm just happy that more people are finally coming out saying that stuff isn't real because for the longest time it was just me." We know, we know, it's hard to fathom. As ET reminds us, that isn't stopping MTV from premiering a rebooted version of the show ("The Hills: New Beginnings") this summer.
New video shines a light on Meghan Markle's advocacy work for women and girls
World Vision, a Christian humanitarian aid organization that focuses on children living in poverty around the globe, just released a video that gives the public a better look at international charitable work Duchess Meghan was involved in before she married Prince Harry. Centering around Meghan's trips to India, the video features the actress explaining why it's so important for restrooms to have adequate facilities for girls in "places of education," according to E! News. "What we found is that the enrollment at this school went up three times as much once the latrines were build so that girls had access to clean hygiene and bathroom facilities while they're at school," she says in the clip. It's a topic Meghan's dealt with more recently, too. Back in 2017, she wrote an op-ed about her trip, recalling how "the stigma surrounding menstruation and lack of access to proper sanitation directly inhibit young women from pursuing an education," E! reports. "During my time in the field, many girls shared that they feel embarrassed to go to school during their periods, ill equipped with rags instead of pads, unable to participate in sports, and without bathrooms available to care for themselves, they often opt to drop out of school entirely," she said. "Furthermore, with minimal dialogue about menstrual health hygiene either at school or home due to the taboo nature of the subject, many girls believe their bodies are purging evil spirits, or that they are injured once a month; this is a shame-filled reality they quietly endure. All of these factors perpetuate the cycle of poverty and stunt a young girl's dream for a more prolific future."

Amber Heard's ex-boyfriend, Elon Musk is among the power players who were served deposition notices this week regarding the lawsuit Johnny Depp's former rep, Jake Bloom, filed against the star after Johnny sued Jake in 2017 for allegedly paying himself more than $30 million in legal fees without having a signed contract. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amber was served papers, as well, along with her sister and neighbors who formerly lived near her and Johnny. There is reportedly a reference to questions around who may be culpable for blacklisting Amber at Warner Bros. in the deposition notices. A number of high profile lawyers and advisers who previously worked for Johnny are also being asked to give testimony. THR reports that's because Jake wants to show multiple attorneys advised Johnny to settle with Amber rather than take her to court. Johnny has faced a pile of lawsuits over the past few years, including but not limited to one from a production tech who alleged Johnny attacked him and one from security guards who said they were not paid after being subjected to a toxic work environment.
Burt Reynolds' famous 'Bandit' car heads to the auction block
If you're chomping at the bit to take a spin in the 1979 Trans-Am Burt Reynolds drove in "The Bandit," start savin' those ducats. Because the iconic car, along with a host of other memorabilia tied to Burt, is headed to the auction block in June. The Daily Mail reports Julien's Auctions is poised to offer a live and online sale boasting pieces including the car (estimated to be worth $300,000 – $500,000), an oil painting of Burt's "favorite horse" ($20,000 to $30,000), a black Eddy cowboy hat ($500 to $700) and a stained glass pool lamp ($400 to $500). Other pieces on the lot include Burt's cowboy boots, an arrowhead and a canvas portrait of Burt. The live auction is set to take place in Beverly Hills in mid-June.
