Kate Hudson's Globes fashion post inspires sweet words from her mom
File this one under #MotherDaughterGoals … One day after the 2019 Golden Globe Awards — where Jeff Bridges was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award — Kate Hudson found herself reminiscing about Golden Globe outfits past. She shared a photo of the mermaid-inspired, scoop-backed white Versace gown she wore to the awards show in 2015, captioning it, "Looking back at #GGAwards @versace," and the post quickly caught the attention of her mom, Goldie Hawn — who proceeded to reply with a comment that reminded us just how water-tight the bond between moms and their little girls can be. "Love your back! Have your back. And well. Helped make your back! Hahahah," Goldie wrote (via CommentsByCelebs). She added, "Proud mama!!" The response drew a slew of comments in praise of the pair's adorable relationship, which they often feature on social media. Wrote one user: "I love this, because if this was anyone else's mom, they would be embarrassed. But she is her, and you are you, and you are both pure perfection, Grace, and love. 😍." We couldn't agree more.

Kim Kardashian West is now getting thousands of letters asking for clemency help
Introducing the "Prison of Princess Reform." That's apparently become Kim Kardashian West's new nickname in many of the thousands of requests for clemency assistance she's received in recent weeks. Citing "sources close to" the reality star, TMZ reports that in the wake of Kim's successful bids to reduce harsh prison sentences for Alice Marie Johnson, Charles Matthews and, this week, Cyntoia Brown, inmates across the country are reaching out to her in the hopes she and her lawyer, Shawn Holley, can help them. Last month, CNN's Van Jones even credited Kim's White House meeting with Donald Trump for helping draw enough attention to the First Step Act that it was finally pushed through shortly before Christmas. According to Vox.com, the act represents "modest" yet meaningful early progress towards "[reforming] the criminal justice system and [easing] very punitive sentences at the federal level."

Lindsay Lohan dishes on new beach club show: 'There will eventually be an island'
It seems Lindsay Lohan's eponymous Beach Club in Greece is the beach equivalent of a starter home. "There will eventually be an island," she told Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" on Monday, Jan. 7, "but I'll have to come back and talk about that. … One thing at a time." LiLo, who's recently set up shop in Dubai and Greece, was in town both to surprise her little sister, Ali, and to promote her new MTV reality show, "Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club," which premieres Tuesday, according to the Daily Mail. Located on the island of Mykonos, Lohan Beach House Mykonos opened last May. Lindsay also has a resort in Ialisos Beach dubbed Lohan Beach House Rhodes. Chatting about the new show, she said the focus is on "me opening my beach" and is hosted by Americans who are "the dramatic ones" on the show, although she added, "I have to step in, of course." Before she headed out, Lindsay shared a peek at "The Lilo," a beach dance she was filmed doing on Mykonos a few months back that went viral around Labor Day Weekend. Linds also joined Jimmy, ?uestlove and Black Thought in a spoof of "Bird Box." As for the island, the Mail reminds us that Lindsay told Wendy Williams last January she was working on designing an island off the coast of Dubai as part of The World Islands, which Wikipedia describes as "an artificial archipelago of various small islands constructed in the rough shape of a world map" in the Persian Gulf.

Harvey Weinstein threatens to invoke Fifth Amendment in Ashley Judd suit
So many sexual misconduct lawsuits, so little time? Harvey Weinstein has threatened to plead the fifth if he's brought in for questioning in the civil lawsuit Ashley Judd has filed against him before his criminal lawsuit has been finalized. According to documents excerpted by The Blast, a lawyer for the former producer said his client "should not be forced to decide between being prejudiced in this civil litigation, if he asserts his Fifth Amendment privilege, or being prejudiced in criminal litigation, if he waives that privilege in this case … Accordingly, this action should be stayed as Weinstein is presently under criminal indictment for sexual assault and sexual misconduct, and is the subject and/or target of other ongoing criminal investigations arising from alleged conduct similar to that underlying this action." The lawyer goes on to say his client "risks incrimination" in the criminal lawsuit since the suits are both about "similar conduct," adding that he has "a constitutional right" to avoid "self-incrimination." Judd has claimed Weinstein blacklisted her after she declined sexual advances he made in a meeting in a hotel room that he initially said was going to be about business matters. She says she discovered he told Peter Jackson and others involved with the "Lord of the Rings" movies she was "a nightmare to work with," among other disparaging things, only after she'd met with Jackson to talk about two roles he was interested in having her play. Weinstein is currently facing lawsuits over multiple allegations of rape, sexual assault and sexual misconduct. In 2017, Peter Jackson essentially admitted he was told to avoid Judd and Mira Sorvino (another one of more than 80 women who have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct) in the '90s.
Kit Harington on the final season of 'GoT': 'Everyone was broken by the end'
Kit Harington covers the new edition of GQ Australia — and while there isn't much in the way of hints about what actually happens in the final season of "Game of Thrones," we're definitely starting to think it's gonna be a doozy. "The last season of 'Thrones' seemed to be designed to break us," Kit tells the mag. "Everyone was broken at the end. I don't know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f–king tiring. We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, 'Right, I'm f–king sick of this.'" Thanks to the sleep deprivation and who knows what else (we cringe to even imagine …), Kit recalls "everyone walking around towards the end going, 'I've had enough now. I love this, it's been the best thing in my life, I'll miss it one day — but I'm done.'" Yikes. On a happier note, he also opens up about meeting his wife, Rose Leslie, while filming the show's second season. "It dawned on me, recently. And I have no idea if we will, but say me and Rose do have children. They'll know. They'll be able to see the genesis of their parents getting together. Which is quite a wonderful thought, really," he muses. "I thank the show for everything. But more than anything else, I thank it for introducing me to her." "GoT" returns in April.
Jimmy Kimmel shares his predictions for Colton Underwood's final four on 'The Bachelor'
In other "Bachelor" nation news … "Bachelor" superfans Jimmy Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearny have weighed in with their predictions for Colton Underwood's final four choices — and beware if you have an issue with spoilers, because Molly's correctly guessed five of the last six "Bachelor" winners and five of the last seven winners of "The Bachelorette," according to JustJared. Speaking to viewers in a post-show segment on Monday, Jan. 7, after the Season 23 premiere of the reality show, Jimmy said he and Molly were dead set on a speech pathologist named Cassie, a medical sales rep named Katie, Caelynn, aka Miss North Carolina, and Hannah G, the content creator who snagged the first-impression rose. You have been warned!
Ivanka Trump was asked to be on 'The Bachelorette'
Back in 2007, we had no idea the then-star of "The Apprentice" would one day be firing folks at the White House. So it should come as no surprise that prior to marrying Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump — the daughter of the aforementioned reality star turned president, Donald Trump — could have been handing out roses to suitors on the scandal magnet series, "The Bachelorette." InStyle recently skimmed some People archives and discovered an interview with 2018's Advisor to the President in which Ivanka says she had to decline multiple reality TV offers so she could continue pursuing her real estate dreams. "I've been offered tons of shows, [including] 'The Bachelorette,'" she said at the time. "I'm flattered, but that in no way furthers my objective of being a great real estate developer." The sit-down also includes Ivanka's comment on her father's infamous orange 'do. "I love his hair! I've heard all sorts of crazy things, but I can verify with complete conviction that it's not a hairpiece," she asserts, adding, "it is what is is."
Thomas Ravenel claims ex, Kathryn Dennis, 'abuses prescription drugs' in custody battle
As "Southern Charm" star Thomas Ravenel prepares to go to court in a sexual assault case brought against him by an ex-nanny, he's still duking it out with his ex, Kathryn Dennis, over custody of their children. The Blast reports Ravenel recently filed documents in response to Dennis' request for sole custody in which he claims she "abuses prescription drugs, is engaged in the use of illegal drugs, and consumes alcohol in combination thereof regularly." He also alleges she "has been intoxicated by the abuse of prescription drugs and/or use of illegal drugs while in sole care" of their kids and that he thinks she buys, sells and trades the drugs with and from "friends, cast members and show producers to support her prescription drug habit." He says he should have sole custody of the children because she's allegedly used drugs to alleviate "anxiety and stress," causing her to "sleep past noon," not get around to making important appointments and, in one case, commit a hit and run. The Blast notes these allegations were not backed up with details or evidence. In addition to primary custody, he wants child support. from his ex. As of Tuesday, Jan. 8, The Blast had not heard back on requests for comment to Bravo and Dennis.
Anne Hathaway share her go-to mental health tips for staying positive
While celebs like Pete Davidson and Selena Gomez have taken breaks from social media to protect their mental and emotional health, Anne Hathaway's found an approach to using Instagram that actually helps keep her healthy and positive. "Having the ability to do something on my own terms has been good for me," she says in Town & Country's February cover story (via ET). "It has allowed me to calm down and communicate in a way that's more clear." Part of the reason it works for her is that she selects pics and captions then sends them to a staffer who handles the posting. Anne says she still gives the final green or red light before anything goes live. "That way I look at it with fresh eyes," she says. "Because once it's out there, it's out there." She also limits the time she allows herself to use the app to 15 minutes so as not to get sucked into then rabbit hole the IG feed can be. The feature includes a few more mental health pro tips from the "Ocean's 8" star, too. When she's feeling stressed and negative, she says she sets a timer on her phone, keeps "a candle nearby" then writes down everything that's bothering her. "You spew it all out. You do not read it," she says. "The timer goes off, you tear it out of the book, and you light it on fire. Literally on fire. All of this energy, this angst, this rage — everything is smoke." Finally, Anne shares something that's helped her maintain a positive outlook on her work. "It's all temporary — like, all of it," she says. "I used to not understand that, and it was a lot harder. A part of me just has to be aware that whatever is going on, however hard it is, whatever it's asking of me, I'm incredibly lucky to be the one who's being asked."
