Kris Jenner's children aren't just her offspring. They're also her clients! The reality TV star has been managing her kids' careers since before Kardashian was a household name. She popularized the term "momager" (a mother who serves as her child's talent manager) and even attempted to trademark the word back in 2015. In honor of her 62nd birthday on Nov. 5, 2017, Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at more of Hollywood's most famous parent-managers. Keep reading to see who else made the list…

Dina Lohan reportedly launched daughter Lindsay Lohan's career when the troubled actress was just 3 years old. Though she helped LiLo score hits with "The Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls," the momager drew criticism from the public for her hard-partying ways. People even accused her of enabling her daughter's bad behavior as part of her plan to further her own fame. Lindsay has since signed with other management.

Though he's now estranged from most of his family, Joe Jackson once managed all of his famous offspring's careers, including son Michael Jackson's and daughter Janet Jackson's.

Ever since her 2007 breakdown — when Sam Lutfi briefly served as her manager — Britney Spears' finances have been managed by her dad, Jamie Spears, who became her legal conservator in 2008. In 2016, The New York Times reported that the pop star pays her father (pictured with her brother, Bryan Spears, and mother Lynne Spears) $130,000 a year for his role in managing her life and career.
According to the bio on her official website, Tish Cyrus "went from helping direct her husband's music career to building one for her daughter." The mother of five has managed daughter Miley Cyrus' music and acting careers "from day one," which she calls "a full-time job."
Their relationship is now rocky, but that hasn't always been the case. Beyonce's dad, Mathew Knowles, managed his daughter's girl group, Destiny's Child, throughout its run. He went on to executive produce Bey's debut solo album, as well as several of her subsequent albums, but in 2011, the superstar announced that she'd officially severed professional ties with her pops.
According to People magazine, Macaulay Culkin's father, Kit Culkin, was "one of the most notorious negotiators in Hollywood" during the height of the former child star's success. Following a heated custody battle between Kit and Macaulay's mom, Patricia Brentrup, who co-managed his career, the actor sued his parents to remove them as his legal guardians and to take control of his finances. He and his father are now estranged.
Joe Simpson managed his daughters' careers as singers and actresses before they transitioned out of the entertainment world. Jessica Simpson has since launched a fashion empire while little sis Ashlee Simpson is… married to Evan Ross.
Katherine Heigl's mom, Nancy Heigl, has managed her daughter's career since she was a child actress. She even served as an executive producer on Katherine's short-lived 2014 NBC drama "State of Affairs." NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke called Nancy Katherine's "momager, best friend and confidant" while describing her role in producing the show.
Kanye West's late mother, Donda West, served as his manager early in his career. "There's nothing that she loved more than to come to the shows and scream louder than any fan, because she was my first fan that was screaming before anybody else, and my first manager," the rapper said in 2007 following his mom's death.
LeAnn Rimes' business relationship with her father, Wilbur C. Rimes, did not end well. In 2000, the singer sued her popager and her co-manager, Lyle Walker, for allegedly stealing more than $7 million from her over a five-year period. According to LeAnn's lawsuit, the duo charged unreasonable fees and manipulated her company for their own financial gain.
Usher's mother, Jonetta Patton, served as his manager early in his career, but the superstar singer has actually fired her twice over the years. "We began to part our ways when I wanted to expand in other areas that I felt like she wasn't necessarily considerate of. You know, why create this tension when I'm attempting to grow as a man?" he said during an appearance on "Oprah's Master Class."
Selena Gomez reportedly fired her mom and stepdad, Mandy and Brian Teefey, in 2014. The duo had served as her momager and popager since her career first took off during the early aughts. "[She] feels she's outgrown her parents," a source told TMZ at the time. "She believes she's now old enough — and famous enough — to have a seasoned professional manager with other A-list clients." That said, the mother-daughter duo shared duties as two of several executive producers on the 2017 Netflix series "13 Reasons Why."
Scarlett Johansson's mother, Melanie Sloan, managed her career when she first debuted in Hollywood. But the "Avengers" actress cut professional ties with her mom after she married Ryan Reynolds in 2008. "Once I got married, I felt that I needed to cut the cord," the actress told Vanity Fair of the decision. Rick Yorn, the brother of musician Pete Yorn, now serves as Scarlett's talent manager.
The implosion of Ariel Winter's relationship with her former momager, Crystal Workman, has been well documented over the years. The "Modern Family" actress, who emancipated herself from her mother in 2015 when she was 17 years old, accused her mom of emotional and physical abuse in 2012. Five years later, the actress told The Hollywood Reporter that while her mother was in charge, she banned her from making friends with other girls because they were the competition, restricted what she could eat, neglected her education, encouraged her to wear revealing clothes at a young age and forced her to stay out late at night networking to further her career.
Ashanti's mom, Tina Douglas, told FOXNews.com that she's a "momanger" rather than a momager. "I spell it the same way I pronounce it. It's just mom and anger. If you mess with my kid you make me angry," she said. As for why she thinks having a parent serve as a manager is ideal, she had this to say: "This is a tough business. It is dog-eat-dog and very competitive, but when you surround yourself with people who love you and support you, then you can't lose."
Kirsten Dunst's mother, Inez Rupprecht, has reportedly served as her manager throughout her career.
Hayden Panettiere's mother, former soap actress Lesley Vogel, served as her daughter's manager early in her career.
Though she's had many reps over the years, Page Six reported in 2014 that Taylor Swift's folks — Andrea and Scott Swift, a wealth management advisor and senior vice president at Merrill Lynch — had started taking over managing her career. The duo reportedly pushed out numerous senior staff members at their company, 13 Management, as well as agents at CAA and WME, to gain more control of their daughter's brand. The move coincided with Taylor's business managers (Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy) — as well as her longtime publicist — resigning from her team.
